Your parents probably told you to brush your teeth twice a day, floss and if they were sort of hardcore had you doing a daily mouth rinse too. Oral hygiene is important to keep your chompers healthy, but research is showing that a good mouth also can have an effect on your overall health. Therefore, keeping things clean and in top notch shape will only help make you a stronger individual.

Nevertheless, let’s just cut the bull and be real…who really sticks to such a routine day in and out? Schedules get busy, school is the pits, work is hectic and then we all have the rest of life’s concerns to deal with and get through. Most of the population may have the twice daily brushing down, but flossing or rinses may go out the window. So then, we are inviting one and all to chew on this, cucumbers.

Cucumbers due to their fiber and nutrients can benefit teeth as well as gums. These nutrients and fibers help to massage gums and remove bad, harmful bacteria from teeth. So an apple a day may keep the doctor away but a cucumber is the right little number for oral maintenance.

No one does beauty like actress and red carpet stunner Lupita Nyong’o! For over a year Lupita has been the toast of the beauty town and touted as being the new standard of beauty. She has worn some of the most gorgeous looks and we can not stop crushing.

Since it is Wednesday the world designated day to crush on any chick of choice we decided to declare our makeup look love for Lupita. There were just too many beauty moments to choose from but we were able to narrow it down to just 10. Here there are and enjoy!

Beauty Question: Can I Pair Anything Else With Orange Lipstick?

Beauty Answer: We loved this question so much we decided to make the rest of this week all about applying lipstick. Orange lip color is a huge trend for this summer and the great thing is that it looks great on darker skin tones when applied correctly. However, there is a bit of caution when it comes to rocking an orange lip… it clashes with just about everything else.

Orange lipstick is already very dramatic so adding various other shades or bold makeup techniques are a no-no. We have conversed with numerous celebrity makeup artists to get the 4-1-1 on this shade and they revealed to us that the only shade that complements orange lipstick is black. They also recommended that it is best to keep the rest of your face simple when wearing orange so that you do not look overdone in a bad way.

Nevertheless, if you want to have even more fun with orange lips there are still a few ways to punch things up. Use black mascara to help make your eyes pop or use a kohl pencil or eye liner to create a cat-eye. Cat-eye makeup with orange lipstick will make you look even more exotic and alluring.

Last Tip: If black seems too severe you can also apply silvery shimmer eyeshadow with a very light hand to the inside corners of your eyes as well as along the water line. (See the photo at the outset of this post for inspiration)
