Beauty Answer: It is true that there are makeup removers that contain pollutants that can be quite harmful to your skin. Therefore, a natural method would be wise to keep skin safe and healthy. Olive oil is an Eco-friendly product that can be used to remove cosmetics. Scared that olive oil will fail to remove “tougher” makeup products? Have no fear because olive oil can remove lipstick, eye liner and even mascara which we all know can be a toughie at times.

Beauty Crush: Ariana Miyamoto The First Bi-Racial MISS Universe Japan
This year back on March 12 Ariana Miyamoto made history by becoming the first ever bi-racial Miss Universe Japan! Although, her win caused quite a stir what she accomplished could not be silenced by internet trolls or nay-sayers. It wasn’t just the crown that had motivated Ariana to strive for greatness and for the ultimate beauty title in behalf of her country. Miyamoto explained,
“I was asked to join the competition in 2014 by an agency in Nagasaki, and although there were other biracial contestants, none of them won, so I declined, thinking I wouldn’t win anyway. But that same year, I had a biracial friend who killed himself, so for him I wanted to change Japan. I got an offer again this year, so I decided to enter.”
Miyamoto wants to continue to push boundaries of what is considered true beauty in Asian culture. Statistics show that bi-racial or mixed ethnicity children are on the rise in Japan so a strong voice is definitely needed to build esteem and confidence. Standing tall at 5’7 Ariana is up for the challenge to change public opinion. Nevertheless, this is not to say that the Asian community as a whole has not been supportive of her big win. Besides, receiving votes from 7 of the competition’s judges, Ariana says,
“I get voices of support from South Korea, and I think, these countries are neighbours but so different in their opinion of me.”
Ariana is definitely a gorgeous young lady and inspiration that beauty cannot be defined by a certain standard or preconceived list of features. Once again congratulations on your big win this year because we are crushing!

Make Makeup Last All Day Part Four
Beauty Quickie: Beauty experts agree that by applying your makeup right the first time you can encourage your cosmetics to stay in place. For instance, when it comes to foundation you want to apply it as evenly as possible. While some women use their fingers to accomplish this, MUA’s recommend using a sponge or beauty blender in order to yield amazing results.
Make Makeup Last All Day Long Part Three
Beauty Quickie: Hopefully if you have been following this series of quick beauty tips you have the theme and thrust behind them clearly in mind. The breakdown of makeup usually occurs due to skin oil production. After application you can “set” makeup with translucent powder and be sure to include the eyelids. You want to be able to control the oils that are produced and created on the lid in order to prevent creasing of any eye makeup.
Beauty Question: Is Makeup Primer Really Necessary?
Beauty Answer: Thank you for submitting this question and my goodness child yes! Primer has numerous benefits including: minimizing blotchy skin, concealing under eye bags and puffiness as well as evening out skin tone. Moreover, as you age primer becomes a nifty little friend to help fill in any slight lines prepping skin for makeup application.
Make Makeup Last All day Part Two
Beauty Quickie: There is a very good reason your mother told you to keep you hands off your face. By constantly touching your face you will possibly not only smudge your makeup but the dirt and oils from your hands will transfer to your face causing your makeup not to last as long. Remember, oil breaks down cosmetics so it is best to try to keep oil at bay as much as possible.
Make Makeup Last All day Part One
Beauty Quickie: If you prep your skin properly then your makeup will stay gorgeous and right where you want it. A clean face goes a long way in making sure your makeup looks stunning. Never apply more makeup over day old cosmetics and be sure to cleanse your skin morning and nightly. This is an important step because the elements i.e. sun/wind can cause oils to be produced and oil in turn breaks down your makeup. Help control oils and dirt by cleansing your face regularly.
Help! My Natural Scrub Is Too Rough!
Natural body scrubs are a great way to get smooth, glowing skin right in time for summer. However, various salts or sugars are coarser in texture than others and can feel a bit too rough. Depending on your skin using very coarse materials or elements may not be necessary in order to slough off a particular area’s dry or dead skin.
For instance, raw sugar is coarser than brown sugar and tends to need more oil added to the scrub to prevent a shredding feel. Body scrubs should never feel as though they are doing more damage than good. Moreover, if your homemade scrub is feeling a tad bit rough on your skin you can also consider mixing in honey to add moisture.
