A top that we had spotted on gorgeous supermodel Lais Ribiero popped up again! So we removed it from our other article and are going to give it its own deserved spotlight. Every year one color reigns supreme over all others. Drum roll please… the Pantone 2017 Color of the Year Is Greenery! Yes, the tint that is blanketed throughout nature is a hue that you will see a lot of in the coming seasons. Why was this color chosen for 2017 and what do designers have to say?

Okay, so why this color? Regarding the selection Pantone said, “Greenery is the Pantone color of the year 2017 selection. [Its] a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose amid a complex social and political landscape.”

Very refreshing. Nevertheless, what about the fashion world? Are they down with the greenery hue? Yes they are to the one thousandth power! Gucci helped usher in the greenery tint during their spring/summer collection. The tint was fresh and gave off a very modern and contemporary feel.

Moreover, designer Christian Siriano enjoys the use of the vibrant shade. Explaining why he adores it he says, “My love of any green color comes from the idea of bringing the outdoors inside.” Therefore, if you have ever wanted to marry your love of nature with couture here is your chance.

Furthermore, brands are already rolling out the green hue products. Nail polish giant OPI just released to green polish colors. Speaking on one of polishs OPI stated, “Be bright and powerful with Pantone’s shade of the year. Stock up on our Infinite Shine shade “To the Finish Lime” and stay on trend this season!”

Campbell is apart of the Givenchy family slash gang and was chosen for the Spring/Summer 2017 ad campaign. Campbell commented on her latest project stating, “Meet the new Givenchy jeans SS17 (Spring/Summer 2017) pinups. I love you Riccardo Tisci, thank you for always pushing me out of my comfort zone for another great project.”

Miss Campbell out of her comfort zone? Seems so far fetched since she always dazzles us with her body of work. However, when you ponder her statement it does start to make a lot of sense. As they say in order to be great you have to step outside your own box. Therefore, Naomi proves that unless you change you will remain the same.

Nonetheless, in the ad campaign Naomi shares camera time with male model, Justin Levy. The pair’s chemistry is electric with both serving face as well as amazing physiques. It is official, FKA Twigs is partnering up with Nike in order to provide creative direction for their new 2017 campaign. As we all know Twigs definitely dances to the beat of her own drum. Her look and style is fresh, modern as well as unique. Therefore, we are sure this is going to an awesome collaboration. So far the released visuals are epic. The FKA Twigs x Nike ad campaign is part video and part editorial masterpiece. Twigs finely displays her skillful dance skills as well as personal style bringing new life and vibes to the Nike brand. She is the perfect crossroad of fashion meeting talent. Twigs shared with fans her excitement and appreciated for being apart of the campaign. She said, “We have entered a new era, a time when personal knowledge and a capacity to feel is everywhere. It’s time we help each other uncover the potential we all have within- to put who we are into motion. We have the opportunity to focus the world’s attention back onto the things that really matter, talent, skill, practice and unique abiltiy. To marry an athletic and spiritual ethos.

I am so proud of this project. Nike thank you for giving me this opportunity to express myself. Narumi Otsuka, Screentones and Cy An thank you for helping make this track. Thank you so much to academy my production company for helping me create this vision and also Rina for being the sickest DP ever.”

Matthew Josephs who styled the campaign spoke out the about the production end of the ad saying, “Do you believe in more? Nike women’s campaign creative direction and starring FKA Twigs. Photography by the insanely talented 17 year-old David Uzochukwu. Styling by me, makeup by the sensational Kabuki and hair by Soichi Nagaki. This was so so much fun thank you everyone who worked on this project.”

However, yesterday Rihanna had to let everyone know she still knows her way around designer labels. She killed it in a green snakeskin coat from the Burberry Fall 2016 collection.

What we love most about RiRi is that she is not afraid to take risks. The particular coat she wore was styled completely different than it was on the runway. Actually, it was a total 180. Burberry’s catwalk look was more formal and incorporated more prints.

Nevertheless, Rihanna paired her Burberry Fall 2016 coat with pink sweat pants as well as a pink sweat shirt with a hoodie. A perfect example on how to blend high-end with more relaxed pieces.

Push all the way through Christina! Milian was in attendance last night for the premiere of Live by Night. Live by Night is a film that is directed as well as stars Oscar winner, Ben Affleck. The film is receiving major buzz due to the fact Ben’s directorial success Argo was such a huge hit. Many believe that Live by Night will have the same magic and amazing story telling that Affleck is fully capable of presenting.

Nevertheless, the premiere brought out all the stars which included Zoe Saldana and singer Miguel. Both Zoe and Miguel do star in the upcoming film. Moreover, Miguel is receiving tons of praise for his work in Live By Night and by all accounts his character’s cuban accent is beyond on point!

Hair Notes: We love a perfectly executed updo! They are classy and elegant making them a must-have for a big event or night out. Christina’s lovely chignon was created by L.A. based hairstylist, Jameel Anderson who described the look as “silky” and “sleek.”
