The Mermaid Frappuccino – Because Unicorns Frappuccinos are so Last Week

It seems just like yesterday that every caffeine fanatic was making their way to Starbucks in order to get a little unicorn in their life. Now Mermaid fraps are sliding into the menu like a DM.

Nevertheless, the number one question is… what the heck is in it? Well, we didn’t have to dig too hard. A Starbucks barista spilled the deets stating,

“Step aside Unicorn Frappuccino, meet the Mermaid Frappuccino. Bay City Starbucks sold out of the unicorn frappuccino on the first day, but we made the moment right by suggesting other partner created frappuccinos!

The mermaid frappuccino is a Pokemon go frappuccino without the raspberry syrup, drizzled with a toasted coconut matcha sauce!”

Not going to lie, that description slightly made our mouths water. Especially, the drizzle! Fortunately, the same superstar barista shared the info on that too. She continued,

“To make the drizzle, mix 8 pumps white mocha, 3 cbspumps toasted coconut and 3 heaping scoops of matcha in a pitcher until smooth. Pour into gravity bottle. Make the Pokemon go frappuccino minus raspberry syrup. Drizzle the cup and top with whipped cream and matcha powder. Enjoy!”

In the end, the result is a purple and green combo that makes us think of The Little Mermaid’s tail and seashells top. So far the verdict on taste has been very positive. Unlike the Unicorn frap that came with mixed reviews and some encouraging others not to waste their money. Therefore, if you are looking to try something new, fun and yummy then you need to order yourself a mermaid.
