Fresh Crop App- Quincy Takes Photos Next Level!
When it comes to standing out on Instagram; everyone who is anyone knows you have to bring the freshest, livest and most original content to the table! Gone are the days of the same old, same old; only the cutting-edge visionaries shall survive this digital natural selection. Enter actor and model, Quincy; whose new tech release the Fresh Crop App, is bringing photo taking, stitching and cropping to brand new heights!
Fresh Crop App- Quincy Takes Photos Next Level
Uhm… sorry… RIP picstitch. Back in the Insta day circa 2012-2013 you couldn’t tell a SOUL that their picstitch wasn’t hot. However, as photos went to new “magazine editorial” levels; this form of post easily became obsolete.
Till this day, to bring in the likes your pic has to be BETTER than your post before it. Additionally, if you run a company looking for new fascinating methods to keep eyeballs on; as well as flocking to your page is becoming more and more important in this social media age.
Therefore, Fresh Crop comes into the picture (excuse the pun lol ) at just the right moment. It gives users the ability to create a multi-photo “slide” without having to actually perform some weird crop; that actually takes AWAY from the integrity of your masterpiece.
For instance, ever had a wide angle shot that you wanted to post but Instagram’s picture parameters didn’t allow it? Most likely, you had to unfortunately “Crop” or resize the original photograph just to be able to post it. This dilemma could lead to having a friend or two cropped or cut-out of the picture completely. Or deciding which part of the picture or its scenery you liked most and just showing that part.
Well, our fellow picture takers, those days are long gone! And you don’t even need to know photoshop to fix it. All you need is cousin Quincy’s new Fresh Crop App and your problems are solved! Let us tell you how easy it is to use it.
How to Use Fresh Crop
Just a few steps and you are finished. Fresh Crop is available for both iOS and Android devices. Simply go to your device’s App Store and download it. We found that Fresh App pops up quite easily; so then you shouldn’t have too hard of a time searching for it. In both stores it was never lower than the 2nd-4th option.
Once downloaded you will have to give a few permissions in order to utilize the app. Nothing out the norm. The usual. The app requires access to your photo library as well as camera.
Depending on what you feel comfortable with, you can select which option Fresh App will be allowed to use. In order to get the full experience and usability of the app; access will have to be allowed to your camera and library.
How to Use It -Continued
Once you’re done opening the gateways to your library and camera the fun can begin! You are now ready to create some magic. Select the combination and size you are after.
For example, how big or small do you want your cropped pic to be? Do you want it square size (smaller); or photo size (larger)?
After you have made that decision then select how many slides you would like your photograph to be spread across. One, two or even three slides. Once selected grab a pic from your library; or take one with your camera then size it up in the rectangular box.
Got it how you want it? Perfect! Then hit the arrow in the upper left corner and let the Photo Fresh app work it’s skills!
Now It’s Time to Shine!
In just a few seconds you will have a cool “cropped” photo to post. If you like it, all you have to do next is click save. Nevertheless, if you’re not feeling your creation; just hold the photo down with your finger and drag to the little trash can icon. Once you start dragging you will see the “cartoon” trash can pop up.
However, once a photo is posted; to see the whole thing, all people have to do is slide the photo over like they are flipping to the next photo in an album. The difference is there will be no breaks. It will only look like one big, continuous photo. Sick!
Now if you have been seeing people posting these types of photos for months (we know we certainly have); now you can get in on all the fun and action too. With Quincy’s amazing app the process is easy, quick and for the less techy (Thank G lol) painless.
Fresh Crop and The Beautiful of Tech
Quincy’s move into the tech realm is an exciting one. Since the industry is still mainly composed of people not of color. Furthermore, we are not saying that any one who is not black needs to be pushed aside; but that there is definitely room in the market for black innovators to let their light shine as well!
All races have so much to offer this world. And it is always SO wonderful to see a plethora of people from all backgrounds making tech and other industries more efficient.
Therefore, to the Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Ray J’s and Quincy’s still left to be discovered out there. DO NOT GIVE UP! You can do it, you can make it, and succeed! We are all rooting for your genius and can’t wait to use your product of tomorrow. Congratulations Quincy!

Axel Arigato x Samsung -Tech Meets Fashion With Help of Teyana Taylor!
This is what happens when a fashion label and tech giant have a baby. In a collaboration truly for the ages, the Axel Arigato x Samsung capsule is the ultimate lesson is transparency. Literally and figuratively. Read on to see our exclusive sneak peek.
Axel Arigato x Samsung -Tech Meets Fashion With Help of Teyana Taylor
You probably can see right through this ad campaign (wink, wink). Thus far, early previews of the type of couture to expect from the Axel Arigato x Samsung mix up is leaving little to the imagination. In the campaign singer and entertainer, Teyana Taylor, poses in plastic couture reminiscent of the decade that was the 90s. Remember transparent bags and Diddy as well as Ma$e dancing in plastic joggers (if not; Google it’s fab)? Well, that is coming back with fervor yet with a bit of a modern twist.
Teyana’s full body ensemble incorporates a stylish, yet revealing pant and hoodie. The Swedish brand informs that more looks are definitely on the way; and couture lovers can expect the full collection to roll out in three phases.
The collection will first be available to the edgy, fashion conscious in London beginning on September 7th. Next up, the good people of Stockholm will get their shot at the line on September 14th. Lastly, all the rest of us mortals will finally be able to see and get our hands on pieces and garments from the capsule starting on September 17th. Axel Arigato says that on the 17th the entire collection will be online. Sweet.
Axel Arigato x Samsung -Tech Meets Fashion With Help of Teyana Taylor (Continued)
This team up as well as the resulting fashions are quite fitting. Why so? Well, for over a year now Samsung’s growing infamous tagline is, “Do What You Can’t.” Roving around the streets in see through clothing certainly fits that bill.
Furthermore, the collaboration between Samsung and Axel Arigato is aptly entitled, I Can See Clearly Now. A nice play off every smartphone owner’s dream of being able to hear, see and talk to anyone with their phone without interruption.
Already, tech fans are wondering if this collab also means amazing clear accessories or even a clear phone design. As epic as that sounds we will all just have to keep our eyes peeled when the capsule officially drops. Nonetheless, by the looks of things it is definitely going to be, wait for it… legendary.

Swanky Luxury! The Amazing Pink Piano of all You Sci-Fi Dreams
One word… obsessed. If you are a lover of interior decor then you already know there is nothing sexier in a room than a show-stopping, glitzy piece! Our latest find is literally Bombay meets Blade Runner. Check out designer Dio Davies’ latest creation – a coral pink piano that’s straight out of science fiction.
The up-and-coming Notting Hill designer’s bespoke Coral Piano sees a world-class Edelweiss piano enclosed inside a transparent perspex shell, which can be illuminated by neon LED lights.
Swanky Luxury! The Amazing Pink Piano of all You Sci-Fi Dreams
The futuristic statement piano, inspired by the furniture designer’s travels in India and her love of Sci-Fi movies, also has a self-play system that allows tracks to be played wirelessly from a concealed iPod and hidden speakers.
Dio, who is already making waves in design circles with a collection of acrylic furniture meets art. Kindly spoke further about the inspiration behind this exquisite pink piano. Dio reveals,
“It’s a piece of furniture that starts the party! Moreover I wanted to create the ultimate interactive experience. A sculpture that at the flick of a switch turns into a radiant and dramatic center-piece. Drawing you in both by sight and sound.
I took my love of films such as Tron and Blade Runner and their technological aesthetic – and the colors from my travels: tropical sunsets, flamingos and coral shells – and used crisp, dazzling acrylic to transform this hand-crafted artisan instrument into a vibrant work of art.”
Furthermore, I wanted to respect the heritage of the piano and its traditional mechanisms, the wooden hammers and leavers, and the classic black and white keys. However, I wanted to take it into the future and the transparency presented an exciting challenge. The piano needed to be beautiful, whilst also hiding the digital wizardry that allows the Edelweiss self-play system to operate behind the scenes.”
Amazing Pink Piano of all You Sci-Fi Dreams
Dio decided to collaborate with piano company Edelweiss, which has been handcrafting self-playing, custom pianos from its Cambridge studio for more than 40 years.
She says, “Edelweiss was the only company I could find that could build this piano, and help me realize my dream. I wanted something magnificent but musically precise; and their craftsmen were able to configure the exact design, color and materials I was looking for.”
Ross Norman from Edelweiss says: “We relished the challenge to work with Dio, and to create something completely different. In this case, taking a piece of statement furniture into the fourth dimension, giving it color, light and sound.”
The Coral Piano is priced at £38,000 (including VAT) and can already been seen at Mayfair cocktail lounge Sketch. To inquire, contact Dio Davies: 0207 754 1198 or email hello@diodavies.co
WATCH THE VIDEO AND VIEW MORE PICTURES HERE.
Did You Know? The Coral Pink Piano comes with a hidden iPod pre-programmed with 400 songs. A bank of precision electronic solenoids, invisibly built into the piano accurately plays the selected music as originally recorded. Edelweiss self-playing pianos are made by world-renowned Cambridge piano maker and restorer 1066 Pianos. Set up in 1975 by a physicist who wanted to apply the meticulousness of science to restoring and building fine pianos, it has more than 10,000 square feet of workshops devoted to building and restoring pianos.

Facebook Stories- Yet Another Update Proving Snapchat’s Epicness
Snapchat really should sue. Yesterday, many Facebook users who’s apps are set to automatically update were met with quite a surprise. Facebook is now equipped with Facebook Stories. The look and feel is very similar to Instagram, which makes sense because Mr. Zuckerberg owns both social platforms. Nevertheless, the memes and tweets over the change are already pouring in and they basically sum up how we’re all feeling.
Facebook Stories- Yet Another Update Proving Snapchat’s Epicness
Please…someone make it all stop! Snapchat changed the game with social thanks to their infamous Snapchat Stories. So fun to make, easy to send and don’t get us started on their one-of-a-kind filters. However, we should have known that in time there would come to be copycats.
Actually, naw we shouldn’t have been surprised one bit. Instagram basically emptied the clip into Vine right at the gate. Changing the platform from just a photo sharing app to one also capable of handling video. Vine hung in there for as long as possible but ultimately waved the white flag leaving all of us to say, “Rest in peace.”
We don’t know if the murdering of Vine is what emboldened IG to try the same divide and conquer tactic with its latest foe, Snapchat. However, it doesn’t seem to be working or having the same success. You see, Instagram pulled the copycat on Vine right when Vine was still gaining traction. When Instagram tried to go for the jugular with SC, Snapchat was already established as a platform to be reckoned with and feared.
Moreover, users were already used to having two separate apps for their social sharing needs. Obviously, the Instagram and Facebook family has been feeling the heat of competition thus continuing to clutter up both platforms in order to stay relevant.
Facebook Stories
Yes, we used the word “clutter.” Facebook and Instagram officially have too much going on and they can’t seem to hit the brakes. We are literally watching a car wreck that is easily avoidable. What’s happening now is Facebook and sister platform Instagram is going to lose touch with their users. Cue Brad Pitt meme photo.
A mass exodus had already occurred when Facebook had questionable privacy issues. Moreover, remember when Instagram attempted to pull the same card saying that no one would really own their own content and it could be “sold?” Well, everyone including celebrities spoke up on that one and threatened to leave and guess what? Instagram changed their tune and even said that was never what they intended. Right.
Now we have Facebook Stories. As the saying goes, “Imitation is the biggest form of flattery.” FB Stories work the same as Snapchat Stories. Videos, photos, filters that can be shared with those on your friend’s list or publicly. The layout is a carbon copy of Instagram’s look. Literally, not a single thing is different, even the colored ring around the profile picture made the cut.
However, the layout just seems overworked, overwhelming and plainly overdone. It just feels out of place. Facebook Live was a complete flop so we really can’t see Facebook Stories as faring much better. Especially, since it looks like the people are speaking out… again.
Facebook Stories – Keeping It One Hundred
The consumer is always right. Any company would be the first to chant that fact. Nevertheless, so far the opinion of the latest FB update isn’t favorable. Here’s what’s being said:
“Facebook has Stories now… I’m out.”
“LMAO this outta control Facebook has Stories now pls Twitter no Stories pls.”
“Facebook starts Snapchat type feature on its app… If you can’t buy it build it.”
“Why in every world are there Facebook Stories now?! Like come on.”
“Facebook Stories look like an ill-fitting mask.”
“Just when you think you can’t hate Facebook anymore they add a “Stories” component.”
“Facebook has Stories like I really care what the kid who dropped out in 8th grade is doing on a daily basis.”
“Why Facebook got this bootleg Snapchat?”
“Facebook Stories sounds so new and innovative I can’t wait to hear what original idea they come up with next.”
“Can we leave stories to Snapchat? Instagram kinda hate that you do it too but sorta accepting it at this point.”
“Facebook looking desperate with the Stories.”
“Facebook now has Stories. Shoutout to Tumblr for being superior and not conforming.”
“Snapchat Stories: Great idea!
Instagram Stories: Cool I guess
Facebook Stories: Too damn much y’all.”
“Facebook Stories is the new best thing since Instagram Stories. Instagram stories are the best thing since snap stories. Wait…”
“From Worst to Best
6) WhatsApp stories
5) Messenger Stories
4) Facebook Stories
3) Instagram stories
2) Snapchat Stories
1) Bedtime stories.”
Facebook Stories- In Conclusion
All in all it’s just a really bad idea. No one likes it and we wish it would just go away. Moreover, what makes it worse is that we all know FB wanted to buy out Snapchat. On several occasions, but SC stuck to their guns and morals eventually taking the crown. This is a major “L” that even has Meek Mill shaking his head.
Facebook has literally shown that they can’t compete and have zero new ideas coming to the table. This update solidifies it. As a result, we’re all standing with Vine giving the slow clap as they prepare to pass the flag.

Sony Contact Lenses That Can Play Back Video and Record
We think we can speak for everyone around the world when we say that we are all still upset that we don’t have real hoverboards. Heck, we thought we would all be flying around in high-end cars with our Chanel bags in the passenger by now. It just has not panned out. The ‘tomorrow-land ‘ we were all promised in a plethora of films and television shows seems to still be outside our grasp. Nevertheless, tech still is advancing. Companies are still clamoring to push boundaries and create that one product that screams “the future.” The good people over at Sony may be on to something. Right now they are developing Sony Contact Lenses That Can Play Back Video and Record.
Sony Contact Lenses That Can Play Back Video and Record
Not going to lie, it kind of makes our eyes hurt just thinking about it. However, we won’t focus on that because a camera in the eyeball has us on some Mission Impossible feels right now. Have you seen those movies? In the Mission Impossible films they went from using regular eyeglasses to relay images to just contact lenses in Rogue Nation. We are not sure if that is where the genesis of the idea came from but at least we understand what Sony is after.
Nevertheless, Sony isn’t going for a James Bond spy experience for its users. They want future wearers to enhance their regular day to day experiences. For instance, Serena Williams just got engaged. Imagine if both her and Alexis Ohanian had been wearing SONY contact lenses thus broadcasting that intimate moment live. Two feeds from two different perspectives that can be shared instantaneously.
This type of tech would completely blow up the social media spot. Snapchat and Instagram stories are already fan favorites. The secret is out, people love being little broadcast video producers of their personal lives. There’s no moment too small or too big that is not worth being shared. Moreover, when you tack on advanced tech the sharing element will only become easier.
Sony Contact Lenses That Can Play Back Video and Record- How Does It Work
With a regular camera the process is simple. Just point and click. Even two year olds now days can operate a smartphone cam with precision. Will the Sony contact lenses have the same ease?
As of now that is how it is looking. The contact lenses will have the capability to focus, control exposure as well as zoom in if necessary. Focusing on an image will be as simple as blinking. There’s still a lot of development left before these babies will be available and hit the market. However, we can see the money making potential.
The only down fall could be if the wait is excessively long. People may continue to wait anxiously for a Hoverboard but it doesn’t mean they will hold the same excitement for other tech. Case in point, this whole VR trend. In the 90s millions were ready for home use VR products. Every kid was sick of having to head to a mall to enjoy it. Fast forward to now and its now made possible thanks our cellies and a box on our head.
Projections for the sales of the Playstation VR was through the roof initially. The brand thought for the 2016 year they would rake in sales for at least 2.6 million units. Yet, after a figure update the firm drastically decreased their numbers. Playstation VR expected sales are now said to be less than 750,000 units. What was the problem? Simply put, time. An old idea that was great when it first came out, was revisited way too late.
Sony Contact Lenses – Final Thoughts
At first glance the idea is a tech lovers dream. Record graduations, epic sports games, weddings, fashion shows and vacations without lugging bulky equipment. That is just the way of the land in the tech world. How small can we get things. That’s why we went from vinyl records to CDs, MP3 players, to iPods to an app called Spotify.
Smaller means simple. It means efficient. Heck, one day we may be texting using mind control thanks to a chip inserted into our heads. We just don’t know, we will have to wait until Cybernet reveals all.
Until then, we’ll just say on the flip side the Sony Contact Lenses could get a little dicey. We complain now about our privacy being invaded. Just wait until a live feed coming straight from your eyeballs is being monitored with all data being stored. How do you know when the lenses truly won’t be in use? As we said cool but scary. That’s just our two cents, but what do you think? Ponder that while you check out this short video that has more information.

Tech News: Apple to Release Electric Cars
Thanks to the invention of iPods Apple already owns our ears and now they want to own the road too. Apple is in the midst of developing electric cars which will not only make the environment better but will most likely cost a pretty penny. Let’s face it, it’s not like iPhones are exactly cheap.
Therefore, are Apple’s upcoming vehicles the new 007 super car? By the look of early photos it may not disappear like the Vanquish but we did notice some pretty cool features. A charging dock which is perfect for the 15 million Apple devices we already own as well as a middle console that has an interface similar to ones we have already become accustomed to in recent years.
Being able to have the same capabilities of a smart phone while driving seems cool, but we’re hoping for something awesome like in car cameras for driving selfies with friends, family or solo because we all have a supermodel hidden somewhere in us. We can dream all we want but we will have to wait till 2018 when the first Apple cars hit the market to see this techie feat. Nevertheless, if they’re hit get ready for “upgraded” versions every 6 months (a joke, hopefully…).
Would you buy an Apple electric car? Join the discussion on our Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr or tweet us @1966magazine.
