Happy Wednesday! 1966 Magazine Salute to Spring 2015 Fashion

giphy

We just wanted to thank all of you for your continued support of 1966 magazine. We hope that you have been enjoying every issue as well as our posts here on our blog. We will keep it coming and happy Hump Day!

Fashion Notes: We couldn’t help ourselves we just had to share a quick tip! Don’t be afraid to let your fashions shine this spring/summer and we do mean literally. Shiny couture made with iridescent materials, plastic accessories (think Barbie) are a huge trend. Keep the look understated and streamlined by staying in the same color family or limiting yourself to no more than 3 tints.

Have you done your spring cleaning of your closet? What do you plan on keeping? Join the discussion on our Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram or tweet us @1966magazine.

Dudley O’Shaughnessy in Balmain Spring 2015

Oh lord we need a fan! Fine as can be and he is wearing Balmain…someone please pinch us this must be a dream. Oh but it isn’t, model Dudley O’Shaughnessy (remember the cutie from the Rihanna music video) modeled Balmain’s Spring 2015 collection that included killer structured pieces with an exotic, tribal and aztec feel. The entire collection is one of the freshest, coolest and exclusive fashions that we have ever seen, every piece is a wow piece all on its own. There is nothing quiet about these trendy designs but we love Dudley…we mean the clothes, we love the clothes. 🙂

2015 Spring/Summer Menswear Trend: Stripes

2015 Spring-Summer Menswear Trend Stripes4

It’s official…stripes are the way to go this upcoming spring and summer. We spotted this trend numerous times in the form of jackets, pants, tops and hoodies. The great thing about stripes is that it can fit a wide range of tastes and preferences. If your guy is shy with his couture a nice tailored striped jacket or shirt is perfect to add some flair to his ensemble. Nevertheless, if he is boisterous with his fashion choices he can up the ante with bold colors and exaggerated fits.

2015 Spring Men’s Fashion Color Trend: Creams

2015 Men's Fashion Color Trend Creams

Staying neutral in fashion is a great way for your man to look like a million bucks. Why should he wear light, airy colored couture from the cream family? Creams convey sophistication, class and charm without stripping away a “manly” vibe from the overall look.

The cream trend was featured during numerous fashion shows including: Salvatore Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta and Versace (pictured above) to name a few. Just look at the stunning man shown coming down the runway, couldn’t you just eat him up? We wouldn’t mind adding a little bit of that cream to our coffees…just saying.

How do you like for your man to dress? Talk style with us on our Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr or tweet us @1966magazine.
