Michael B. Jordan Looks ‘Fantastic’ at MTV Movie Awards 2015

Michael B Jordan MTV Movie Awards 2015

Actor Michael B. Jordan hit the MTV Movie Awards red carpet in a bold plaid suit. Jordan is starring in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot and was at the ceremony in order to present. Due to the boisterous feel of his ensemble we loved how Jordan kept his shirt and tie more muted so as not to clash.

Lookbook: Coachella 2015

FullSizeRender(5)

Hey Everyone!

For today’s lookbook I decided to create a look that could be worn at Coachella, one of the biggest music festivals in the whole world! Coachella is held out in the desert in California so the heat should never be counted out when styling an ensemble. With temperatures reaching above 100 degrees going a little summery even despite it being spring is a perfect option.

For my outfit I paired denim shorts with a black crop top and black sandals. It may be hot during the day but it can cool off at night so slipping on that plaid shirt you tied around your waist can easily rectify that fashion issue. Skin is just as great of an accessory as jewelry so I slathered on a lotion that has a little shimmer to give my skin a nice glow. Lastly, to tote my essentials around I added a fringe handbag to incorporate a little hobo chic.

Love Always,

Arianne

Michael Costello SS15 Runway Show

Michael Costello SS15 Runway Show

Michael Costello’s runway show for El Paseo Fashion Week was brimming with so many show-stopping pieces we don’t even know where to begin! We gushed over his all noire designs that consisted of long gowns, jumpsuits and short flirtatious dresses with cut-outs. Backstage Michael shared with us that the collection was inspired by samurai warriors and each ensemble we saw fit the bill because they were fierce, sassy and extremely sexy. You can always tell when even the models are enjoying the fashions, their walk becomes harder, stronger and they simply stomp to the death. Every last model served it like their rent, electric and Iphone bills were due!

Costello’s femme fatale show gave us style shivers also thanks to lovely embellishments that included: fur, low V-cuts, sparkle, pockets, high splits, sheer fabrics and bold silver shades. Michael’s breathtaking show also included menswear, but for more on that be sure to lookout for our exclusive interview with Michael in our April issue!

Video Alert! Scroll down to see our quick recap of Michael Costello’s SS15 show!

Editor’s Diary: El Paseo Fashion Week 2015

Editor's Diary El Paseo Fashion Week 2015-2

El Paseo Fashion Week is in full effect and we are flexing our own fashion muscle. So then, how did we decide how to style ourselves for this stylish night out?

Editors Diary El Paseo Fashion Week 2015

Alicia: I love the color red so it was a simple choice to go with a sassy red dress. I accessorized my look with a gold necklace and black/gold heels. I always believe that great fashion should accentuate your best assets.

Editor's Diary El Paseo Fashion Week 2015-3

Arianne: I wanted to go bold without being the loudest lady in the room! You can never go wrong with a nice print, and with stripes being a huge trend for spring, I felt it was the perfect choice for the night. As many women always fear, I dread being caught in the exact same ensemble as someone else. For this reason, knowing that most attendees [women] would opt for a dress or pant suit, I decided to go with shorts.

Fashionable Mention: Carolina Herrera

fashionable mention Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera just makes fashion look so easy, breezy with much sophistication. Add emphasis where you want it most with a few simple style tricks. We felt this look by Carolina Herrera is perfect for any woman who wants to show off her assets Are you small chested lady who wants to give a little more attention to the girls? Wear a top with a deep V-cut to draw eyes downward. Are you looking to show off your hips to add more va-va voom to your overall look? Then, wearing horizontal stripes across the hip area will give the illusion of more shape.

DKNY: Spring 2015 RTW

DKNY Spring 2015 RTW

DKNY showed off just how fun fashion can be with their runway show highlighting their spring 2015 RTW collection. Boisterous shades, extra large prints and some serious layering added to the chic allure. We loved this out of the box ensemble that proves that layering can look hip, current and very modern.

Fashion Notes: There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing sneakers with a dress of skirt. Fashion doesn’t always have to be so dressy, keep your look causal with flats or athletic kicks.

Get Your Man Right: Spring 2015 Stripes On Stripes

Men's Streetstyle Spring 2015 Stripes On Stripes

If you have a suit and tie type of guy on your hands most likely he will enjoy keeping a ritzy vibe even when it comes to more causal garb. Help him stay on point this season by mixing stripes with pinstripes. A regular striped tee-shirt can get a sophisticated upgrade with the assistance of a tailored pinstripe jacket. Remove any stuffiness by having him roll up the jacket sleeves in order to give off an overall relaxed look.

Pop of Color Sunglasses

Pop of Color Sunglasses

Make a statement without any extra style fuss by incorporating a pop of color into your fashions. We personally enjoy doing this with a pair of shades since we hail from the state where the sun always shines and it rarely rains. Nevertheless, regardless where you live sunglasses can add an instant flair of glamour to any look that you are working.

The fashionista shown above showcased her style prowess with a pair of ruby red glasses. A clean look that still packs a serious couture punch.
