Zendaya Coleman is one starlet who is never afraid to give a bold hairstyle a try. Moreover, even when there have been those that have attacked her sense of style she put them in place… with grace of course! Therefore, speaking of “grace” if anyone would ever have the guts to channel an iconic look worn by one of fashion’s elite it would have to be by someone confident as well as fearless right?

Well, we definitely have to give it up to Coleman for being such a doll (btw she really is one thanks to Barbie) and paying homage to the legendary Grace Jones with her strands. Zendaya posed for a Mane Addicts photo shoot rocking a High Top Fade that also gave us Kid N’ Play vibes (google kiddies, you’ll get a kick out of those pics when you find them LOL). Nevertheless, all the hair fun did not just stop with Grace Jones, hair stylist Larry Sims showed off his amazing skills using Brooke Shields and Diana Ross as inspiration as well!

Larry Sims is one of our favorite hair stylists of all time because he NEVER disappoints. We first became fans seeing his work for Janet Jackson’s All For You tour. Who can forget watching the HBO special and seeing her wavy extensions literally get caught in her sunglasses and she just tugged till they slipped out like it was her own hair. Moreover, she ran her fingers THROUGH like it was her own and nothing was getting hung up anywhere. When it comes to hair that is some serious skills and technique to make tresses look and feel so natural.

Moreover, we love all the various styles that Larry always creates for Lupita Nyong’o. Natural hair can be way healthier than chemically treated hair, but as any woman can attest to, sometimes you just don’t know how to style natural locks. Rose Palhares the genius behind the Angolan fashion brand bearing her name has but together a stunning lookbook that showcases the immense beauty found in African designs. Back in her homeland Rose is revered as “The Fashion Princess” and she has the fashion chops and accolades to back up such a honorary nickname. Palhares won Designer of the Year in 2013 and has been bestowed with the privilege of representing Angolan style at Milan’s Expo 2015.

In regards to the lookbook aptly entitled “New African Aesthetic” that is definitely the vibe we instantly received from it upon first sight. Of course, you will notice west African flavor that is famous for its powerful use of boisterous colors and animal prints including leopard and zebra. Nevertheless, Rose Palhares manages to take iconic styles and morph them into modern, newly envisioned masterpieces!

The overall styling is just as eye-catching as the designs themselves. Models Elsa Baldaia and Silvia Costa both wear bold gold jewelry with hair fashioned into Bantu Knots. Moreover, do not even get us started with the makeup honey! Strong brows, colorful smoked out eyes and some bangin’ dark lip color gave Elsa and Silvia a sultry allure. Rihanna and The Weeknd Announced As Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2015 Performers!

As we were doing our usual quick morning meeting we spit out our lattes as the good people over at Victoria’s Secret rolled out a huge announcement for their upcoming fashion show! In a tweet heard and seen around the world (oh, don’t you love dramatics LOL) it was heralded that three performers would take to the stage to help give Victoria’s supermodels a tough beat to step to when going down the catwalk. The three headlining acts would be Rihanna, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez. Vickie tweeted at 7 a.m this morning stating,

“Drumroll please… @rihanna @selenagomez & @theweeknd are this year’s #VSFashionShow musical guests!”

Within no time flat the tweet skyrocketed with over 9,000 favorites and over 10,000 retweets! It would seem that the masses are quite thrilled about this year’s choices of musical guest. Quite frankly, so are we! We always get such a kick out of watching the show every year because it possesses a glamour, sassiness and fairy tale bliss that any girly-girl can appreciate.

The big show will come to a television near you sexy dolls on Tuesday, December 8th at 10 p.m. The sexiest night of the year will air on CBS showcasing models Jasmine Tookes, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Lais Ribeiro, Behati Prinsloo and Alessandra Ambrosio. This will not be Rihanna’s first Victoria’s Secret rodeo, RiRi performed back in 2012 and she’ll be revealing new music once again this time from her upcoming 8th album Anti.

If only our sense of humor had some truth to it in this regard but mascara doesn’t have such a fairy tale ending ladies. In fact, out of all the beauty products that you have in your possession, most likely your mascara will have the shortest shelf life. This means if you have had the same tube for awhile it may just be time to lay it to rest.

“Well, my mascara works just fine and I have had it for months!” We are sure there are some that feel that way but ponder on these next few facts. Mascara’s performance can be affected by outside temperatures so it is important to make sure your tube avoids extreme cold and heat. Moreover, over time mascara ingredients start to oxidize and degrade. Degradation means that compounds in the formula will break down and the product’s strength or intensity will fade.

Such degrading can lead to dried up formula and the causing of flakes. A look that you definitely do not want to rock in public. So then, how long should mascara be kept after purchase? Every three to four months your mascara should be tossed in favor of a newer one.

Thanks to the help of socialites, Youtube and makeup artists contouring has literally changed the face (pun intended) of makeup. Now women everywhere can have perfectly sculpted cheekbones illuminating light gracefully. Nevertheless, some ladies may not realize that this contouring technique isn’t new at all but has been used for years by men who enjoyed dressing in drag. If you don’t believe a quick search in the google and youtube archives shall be enough to seal the point.

However, what more can we learn from drag queens when it comes to makeup? Quite a lot actually, because these drag ladies are quite skilled with cosmetics in order to transform themselves to give off a more feminine look which is where contouring comes into play. Some are so good you would never even know it wasn’t your best girlfriend standing next to you.

Contouring as taken a lot of heat because some MUAs feel that women do not need to use such a technique because they already possess a soft, feminine look. However, the lure of perfection and a beat face makes natural seem like so old-fashioned. Makeup should always just be fun and a way to enhance your best features. Karrueche Tran Stuns In Solace London at Autism Speaks Gala

The Autism Speaks organization spreads awareness and sponsors research as well as activities aimed at the public, families as well as the government. Autism Speaks has had the privilege of raising millions towards autism research.

Last night, Karreuche was in attendance to show her support along with celebs such as Al Roker and Tran’s bestie Chantal Jeffries. Tran wore a black gown by Solace London to Autism Speaks which was held in Santa Monica, California.

One problem that many struggle with when it comes to weight loss is diet. Especially, here in the states where portions are enormous and are like eating 3 meals in one setting.

Nevertheless, beyond learning the correct portion size at mealtime just getting to the point of eating less can be challenging. On paper losing weight is quite simple, burn more calories than you take in or consume. With that being said, are there any tips that will make diet less stressful? Of course darlings, here are 5 ways to help curb your hunger!

She Eats Carbs!– In The Devil Wears Prada carbs was a sin, but when it comes to feeling full longer you are going to want to partake in some fiber. Fiber found in whole grains, seeds,nuts, veggies and fruits like apples will help fill that bottomless pit of a belly quicker helping you consume less.
Water Baby– Take a clue from an old toy and make sure that you are FULL of water. Dehydration is a major culprit for overeating because the body increases hunger pangs in order to try to tempt you to drink more and rehydrate.
Cool Like a Cucumber– Tough exams, work projects and gaining a zit before picture day can make any gal throw her hands up in protest. However, remaining calm is the best answer to not overeating when stressful situations occur. Stress can cause a hormone known as Cortisol that will make you hungry. Go for a jog, dance, comment under Drake’s muscle pics or anything else that helps you feel at peace.
Be a Regulator– This may sound like you are getting ready to drop the hardest LP of 2016, but nope its just suggesting you regulate your blood sugar. If you don’t then you will crave more food which could result in you guessed it, more weight gain. How can this regulation be achieved? Eat fiber/proteins and drink plenty of H2O.
So Trashy– The best way to curb cravings is to get rid of the bad foods that you crave regularly. If that is too tough try buying snacks that come in small packages instead of the larger bags or boxes.

Are you the type of hair-lista that loves to live on the edge? Has your hair seen more changes in color than the Care Bears rainbow? If so, you may just be a future candidate for The Undercut.

The Undercut is exactly what it sounds like when it comes to the look and feel of this black hairstyle. An undercut is where the back sections of your head/hairline is cut or buzzed very short. Some daring ladies even choose to the extend the look to include the sides of their head (think Rihanna).

We came across a few undercut styles on Instagram which reignited our love for the style, yet the one featured up top was our absolute favorite. Hair Tips: Once you get an undercut done the compliments will roll on in, but the maintenance can be a headache without the right products. Hair never stops growing which means your hair is not going to stay looking perfectly cut. In between reshape hair cuts keep hairs slicked down and in place with gel or mousse. This will also help maintain the look until you can blend the hair together if you are over the undercut and growing out your hair.
