All attendees at the official launch of the Jasmine Ni’Cole Luxury Perucas line were treated to one surprise after another. There was much celebrity fanfare as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with the exquisite perucas collection.

We immediately noticed how well-designed and executed each piece of the line appeared and felt. No details were left to chance. The craftsmanship of every single peruca gave off a very natural, high-end as well as quality appearance.

During our exclusive red carpet interview with CEO Jasmine Ni’Cole, it was revealed to us that each peruca takes 21 days to be created. Time, patience and much care is put into each design in order to ensure complete and total customer satisfaction.

Like fashion house Balmain, Jasmine Ni’Cole has also assembled an army of ambassadors to represent her upscale brand. Eva Marcille, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Cheyenne Depree all lend their voice and beauty to showcase the elegant and fun line. Each ambassador spoke highly of Jasmine’s collection noting just how fabulous they felt modeling selected pieces from the JNLP collection. We have to agree they just look absolutely stunning but they literally seemed to glow. Nevertheless, isn’t that how a lady should feel about her hair everyday?

From start to finish you can customize your very own Peruca. How does the Jasmine Ni’Cole Luxury Perucas Create Your Own Perucas option work?

Online shoppers can navigate through a series of options to build a high-end peruca that fits their personal flair, needs and tastes. Four custom options must be chosen before construction can begin. One must decide on Style, Closure and lengths. Under style hair type can be customized. A perucas can be made with Curly, Wavy or Straight tresses.

For the ultimate style variation there are six different sizes of closures to select from. Closures allow for freestyling parting along the cap area. Therefore, depending on how you will want to style your perucas their is plenty of closure selections in order to make a trendy look possible.

Next, hair length brought into the design process. Two hair lengths can be selected between 12-18 inches.

Once your luxury peruca has been custom made it will be delivered right to your doorstep in a sophisticated, voguish case. Nevertheless, the sexy siren is now about to give the fashion world something to really talk about! Just hours ago Berry released a first look at the Scandale Halle Berry collection. We are getting sophisticated, upscale yet libidinous vibes.

This year’s hairdos spotted at the 2016 Met Gala were just as exciting as the fashions that accompanied them. It wasn’t just about length or whether strands were up or down. There was one trend in particular that seemed to take the cake among the stars.

Hair color, hair color, hair color and say it with us, hair color! The 2016 Met Gala saw a wide range of hues. The varied looks included all ends of the spectrum. From platinum to rich deep, reddish plums. Highlights were also big on the 2016 Met Gala red carpet. However, enough yapping right? Here is quick breakdown of all the various hairstyles that revived our 2016 Met Gala Hair of the Week Award!

Amandla Stenberg

She literally allowed her hair to be her crown of glory. We absolutely adored her gold hair accessory.

Cynthia Bailey

After the show is the after-party! Reality starlet and model Cynthia Bailey hit the 2016 Met Gala after parties with a voluminous curly fro accented with a crown braid.

FKA Twigs

Here’s how to give those French braids a twist… literally. Twigs wore a braided updo that twisted at the nape up to about center. The look also incorporated hair jewelry that seamlessly went with her designer gown.

Beyoncé

Many could not simply take their eyes off Bey’s backside. We couldn’t either… her sleek tresses with the blonde hair color and highlights were seriously on point!

Zendaya Coleman

This is so modish and elegant we can’t stop staring. This cut is all about precision and execution. If you were born with retro and vintage vibes running through your veins you just gazed upon your new hairstyle.

Kerry Washington

She may have been wearing all black but Kerry’s hair was all types of bold. There was nothing subtle about her hair color that complimented her loose waves. If you’re going to the attend the Met Ball you might as well go all out or just stay home.

She had us at asymmetrical hair cut. Dunn’s Bob was pure perfection and only seemed to become more stunning from every angle. Moreover, the gray hue with dark roots was just killer.

Nicki Minaj

Her expertly placed platinum hair color showed true craftsmanship. Take note how the color extended all the way to the very tips. Bravo colorist, bravo.

Ciara

She’s currently working on a new album so why not a new hairstyle? CiCi came to slay with vintage waves and metallic silver strands.

Lupita Nyong’o

One of the most talked about hairstyles of the 2016 Met Gala outside of Ciara came via Lupita Nyong’o. Lupita took natural hair to new heights with a five tier updo.

What an evening of fashion! The biggest stars all came to show off their most stylish threads made by the most renown designers. Every year this invite only event started by Vogue Editor-In-Chief, Anna Wintour, receives a new theme. This year at the Met Gala 2016 event the theme was Manus x Machina.

There were so many creative garments that captured the essence of the Manus x Machina Met Gala 2016 affair. Some gown highlights spotted during the Met Gala 2016 ball that we immensely enjoyed ranged from the subtle to the deliciously dramatic. Let’s begin with the more conservative yet note-worthy designs shall we?

Singer Jennifer Hudson stunned in a white floor length gown that added drama with a gorgeous flowing train. The color palette may have been considered mute or a safe choice by some but the custom HM gown’s overall design made quite the statement. Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw also wore a beautiful white gown by designer, Gabriela Hearst. How did the technology theme play its part in the Gabriela Hearst design? The gown featured beading down the sleeve sewn by hand that spelled out the word, “love” in Morse code. We love!

Ciara, Naomi Campbell, Zendaya Coleman, Simone Boyce, La La Anthony, Jourdan Dunn and Lupita Nyong’o all wore shimmery and flashy garments. Actress Lupita Nyong’o wore a jade sequined dress by Calvin Klein and model Jourdan Dunn wore a dazzling metallic design by Balmain. Zendaya looked statuesque in an one shoulder piece by Michael Kors. Host Simone Boyce worked her “space cadet” look by Three As Four.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell showed the young’ins how it is done in an insanely beautiful garment by Roberto Cavalli. Jourdan Dunn gave us style visions of what a chic robot would adorn. She walked the carpet in metallic Balmain. Ciara’s amazing HM custom dress incorporated gorgeous crystal detailing. So many that Ciara had to stand on the way to the Met Gala so as not to break them. Now that is fashion dedication!

Do girls in black have more fun? Well by what we saw on Kerry Washington, Zoe Kravitz and Nicki Minaj it sure looked like it! Minaj made heads turn in Moschino while Zoe gave onlookers a slice of fashion heaven from the front and back in Valentino. Kerry Washington looked like a vision in Marc Jacobs. She also confirmed all the chatter about baby number two by preciously holding her baby bump. Congratulations Kerry!

Colorful garments were spotted numerous times making their Met Gala 2016 debut. The Knowles sisters both served with bold hues. Beyoncé wore a form-fitting Givenchy design while Solange wore a yellow David La Port creation. Neutral colors were also spotted on FKA Twigs and ballerina Misty Copeland. Twigs made the photographers swoon thanks to her Versace ensemble. Nevertheless, one of the biggest fashion moments of the night was owned by actress Zoe Saldana. Saldana floated along during the Met Gala 2016 in a feathered style by Dolce and Gabbana. The length literally took our breath away. Just stunning!

White House Correspondents Dinner Fashion Recap

Everyone brought their style A-Game to dine with the Obamas at this year’s White House Correspondents dinner. There seemed to be several fashion trends spotted during the night. Therefore, without further ado here is our fashion recap of the White House Correspondents Dinner!

Color played a huge fashion role at the WHCD. Black was a major hit among several starlets. Wearers included: Actresses Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, Rosario Dawson, Tracee-Ellis Ross as well as Actress/Reality star Nene Leakes. Although, length also played a key factor with floor-length gowns dominating the red carpet. Kerry Washington kept her LBD (Little Black Dress) around knee length. The black dresses seen were not a one note either. Intricate detailing, high splits and sexy cut-outs gave the noire gowns sophisticated and sexy allure.

Bold Color was also trending this year at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Attendees that dared to rock a boisterous tint included: La La Anthony, supermodel Lais Ribiero, actress Jada Pinkett Smith and Gayle King. An ethereal hue to wear during the spring season is any shade of white. Stunning actresses Regina King and Vivica A. Fox both demonstrated how to turn heads in white couture.

Tamron Hall took things up a further notch in the realm of color. Besides her gown being a gorgeous gold tint it was full of sparkle and glimmering grandeur! Hall gave us retro Hollywood glamour and we loved it.

One sleeve gowns as well as plunging necklines were also a trend among the ladies. Both style details gave the stars sassy appeal. Kudos to the stylists and well done ladies you looked great!

Tia Becca Reveals Her Glowing Skin Secrets!

As they say, the camera never lies. Good or bad the lense is going to capture every single detail. Therefore, when you have cameras following you around 24/7 it’s imperative to always stay camera ready. Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star Tiara aka Tia Becca does not have this issue at all! Tia Becca has some of the most beautiful luminous skin seen within the industry. The camera absolutely loves her. How does she stay glowing and looking so fly?

Like many other celebrities, Tia Becca sticks to a skincare regimen. Consistency, avoiding damage and good products will help a gal look glamorous enough for her close up. Tia Becca is always very open to her fans and recently took time to show how she achieves her glow up on the daily. Her skincare must-haves came down to three basic elements:

Moisturizer
Water
Deep Cleansing

With the help of her Snapchat and other social media platforms Tia Becca shared a photograph displaying her very own beauty cocktail. The picture included La Mer products, Dasani water as well as a mask made by Peter Thomas. You may notice that Tia Becca had only included one water bottle in the pic. One bottle a day get her gorgeous, glowing skin? Maybe in a beauty/skincare fairy tale that might be the case. After one of her fans asked about her water intake, Tia revealed that she aims to drink nine of those water bottles a day.

Alright ladies so what did we learn today? Glowing skin is not just for the stunning stars we see regularly on TV. Getting your glow on is as simple as using a good moisturizer, drinking plenty of water and deep cleaning skin regularly.

Miss Black Connecticut USA Returns After 20 Year Hiatus

After nearly 20 years Miss Black Connecticut USA will be making its return to the state’s capital this September. The premier pageant for women of color, Miss Black Connecticut USA, is a division of the Miss Black USA pageantry system. Miss Black USA has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to women of color.

Kade Henderson, Miss Black New York USA 2015 and the pageant’s curator for the Connecticut division says she is extremely excited and honored to be working in Connecticut’s community “It is great pleasure to pass my experience to the Sister Queens of Connecticut and cultivate with a community in which I come from to encourage positive self-esteem, promote scholastic achievement, healthy living, and community involvement to empower women of color” says the entrepreneur and businesswoman.

The reintroduction of the Miss Black Connecticut USA pageant is one more milestone in the pageant’s prestigious legacy and history. 1,000’s of women of color from all 50 states have had the opportunity to participate and compete for their reign as Miss Black USA in DC in addition to Africa. Miss Black USA contestants and winners come from all walks of life ranging from personalities, students, doctors, lawyers and successful business leaders. In 2007 over 80% of contestants were pursuing graduate or professional degrees while also competing for the crown. Last year, Madison Gibbs was crowned Miss Black USA 2015 in Washington D.C. The Howard University Law student has had the opportunity to travel the globe speaking on mental health, heart disease and women’s empowerment partnering with PBS and The Heart Truth out of others.

The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc is a Nonprofit Corporation in the state of Maryland, founded in 1986 by Karen Arrington. “Creating Miss Black USA was a way to smash the negative stereotypes and images portrayed of African American Women in mainstream media” says Arrington.

Currently, submissions are being accepted for a Miss and Talented Teen segments of Miss Black Connecticut USA to claim the state crown of Connecticut. State winners will experience a year of beauty, brains, and benevolence and receives a cash prize, scholarship, personal stylist, pageant coach, talent coach, and a modeling spread out of many other perks.

The Connecticut State Pageant is scheduled to take place September 15-19 in Hartford, Connecticut and is looking for contestants to apply.

Recently, one major style was spotted on three glamorous starlets: Zendaya, Tika Sumpter and Aja King.

Zendaya, Tika Sumpter and Aja King enjoyed a luncheon together hosted by Zendaya herself and Glamour mag. The dynamic trio all wore the 2016 black hair trend gorgeously and as if they had sent out a memo to each other first! Whether by intention or not all stunning ladies came rocking sleek braids.

In the past braided trends included a looser feel. However, 2016 braids are all about precision. Neat and sleek execution is what’s trending.

Moreover, braids can be tailored and altered to fit various couture looks as well as personal taste flawlessly. We loved the halo crown variations just as much as Zendaya’s cornrows. Nevertheless, if longer hair is your end hair game then this trend is the way to go!

Anastasia, the queen of the brow formation and duchess of the contour is about to release a product that will once more change the face (pun intended) of the makeup game. What is she up to now to help us look all pretty? She is dropping Anastasia of Beverly Hills Stick Foundations!

Just hours ago a teaser photo was released showing four gorgeous models on set shooting the ad campaign for the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Stick Foundations. Now get this… all four models were women of color! This marks a major beauty first. Anastasia of Beverly Hills is one of the first major cosmetics brands to release a new product starting with dark skin tones. Other lighter tones will be released but at a later time.

For years, the shortage of foundation colors for darker skinned women have often been overlooked by big name cosmetics. However, in more recent times a mind shift is occurring in the beauty industry. Thanks to efforts of supermodel Iman as well as black cosmetics companies such as Fashion Fair some options have been made available. Nevertheless, when you can count on one hand the number of brands offering deep, rich shades it shows that much improvement can still be achieved. Leaving out black girls and women from the makeup picture, cuts out a huge chunk of profits. However, now it seems that more companies are aiming to place their hands in the dark makeup pot.

Vogue Spain May 2016 Starring Jasmine Tookes With Angels

Mirror, mirror on the wall, is Jasmine Tookes the fairest of them all? Well, if not, she is definitely coming in pretty darn close! Supermodel Jasmine Tookes is radiant in the Vogue Spain May 2016 edition. She is joined by her fellow Victoria’s Secret fambam: Martha Hunt, Taylor Hill, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Elsa Hosk and Romee Strijd. Together the girls form one of the greatest model squads to ever be captured behind a lense.

As we all know, it’s teamwork that makes the dream work and when it comes to photo shoots it takes a village. Therefore, who was behind this masterful set of visuals? The Angels editorial for the Vogue Spain May 2016 issue was captured by photographer David Bellemere. Makeup duties were handled by Fulvia Farolfi and hair was slayed by Diego Da Silva.

The hair for the Vogue Spain May 2016 cover as well as editorial was so elegant and delicate. The makeup showcased each girl’s natural beauty. Then there is the fashion that has left us absolutely breathless! One ethereal look worn by Jasmine Tookes that we cannot get enough of shows her all wind blown with her designer gown just seeming to fall gracefully right off her shoulders. For the shot Jasmine wears a soft, pastel gown by Roberto Cavalli.

This dress is just everything. It is so romantic we just imagine Romeo coming to sweep his Juliet right off of her feet in this insanely stunning number. The Angels also wear designs by Francesco Scognamiglio and yeah you guessed it, lingerie by Victoria’s Secret. Wonderful work by all involved including the lovely Angels!
