Slay our life Maybelline! We are fanatics for anything metallic, glittery or just glows period. Maybelline recently announced a new exciting product that they have coming down the beauty assembly line. Hang on to your makeup brushes dolls because Maybelline Master Strobe Liquid is coming!

The glow up for 2017 just got even easier. Maybelline developed a liquid product that is packed with more strobe than a disco. How can and should this product be utilized? Maybelline explained,

“Introducing one of our most anticipated products of 2017… Master Strobe liquid! This strobing liquid comes in three shades of glow. Mix it with your foundation or moisturizer for a luminous look or apply it on top as a stand alone blinding highlighter. In stores in the U.S. and Canada at the end of this month!”

So recap… this is one product that can give you luminous skin or act like the best highlighter in your beauty bag. Yippie! Furthermore, apparently we were not the only souls absolutely dying after this announcement. Many heard Maybelline’s call to beauty action and took to SM to share their two cents on the 2017 product. Here are a few of the NUMEROUS reactions:

“We need this.”

“Can’t wait to grab one of these… wow.”

“Yes yes yes yes yes!”

“It says they come out towards the end of the month so we [definitely] need to keep our eyes out the next couple of weeks.”

“Heavenly shades… mesmerizing it is!!”

Going to pick up the Maybelline Master Strobe Liquid? Keep in mind that these babies will hit the market toward the end of this month (December 2016). Also note that there is a LOT of interest surrounding this product due to the pigmentation and also because testers have said it does not budge! Makeup that looks great and stays in place definitely can have us making it rain in Ulta. So then, stay on it and get it before it sales out.

2016 Spring Beauty: Maybelline Purple Lipstick

Honestly, this has to be one of the BIGGEST beauty teases ever! This week Maybelline cosmetics released BTS (behind the scenes) shots of model, Jourdan Dunn, in a brand new must-have lip shade. There was only one problem. The secret lip is a yet to be released Maybelline purple lipstick. God have mercy on all of our beauty souls!

If Maybelline wanted to start a cosmetic frenzy aka World War Lip 3, they definitely got their wish. Lipstick fans immediately began inquiring about the lip tint shrouded in mystery and Maybelline kept their lips sealed. Loving that shade of purple on Dunn? You are so not alone. Here is what other ladies were saying,

“OMG I want this lip color!!”

“Love.”

“This colour.”

“Love the lip.”

Sentiments like the ones above went on and on and on for hours. At this very moment in time, Maybelline has still not said zilch about the purple lip color. Nevertheless, the Maybelline purple lipstick in question fits with their spring 2016 purple collection that they have nicknamed, “the purple posse.” The royal color products include purple liner, shadow and of course lipstick. Could one of these vibrant and bold lip colors from the collection be the lipstick that we seek?!

Only time shall tell when it comes to this little makeup dilemma. We will definitely keep you posted on any beauty developments in regards to the tint name as well as release date. Until then, we will just continue to admire the beautiful shade from afar and slightly hate on Jourdan for having the opportunity to wear it already. Just kidding, we love ya Jourdan!

Maybelline New York Master Glaze By FaceStudio

1966 Magazine Editor Alicia Suggs dishes on her new favorite beauty product and explains why it could just be your next beauty buy as well.

1966: Okay Alicia so tell us about this product that you are obsessed with now.

Alicia: Alright, it’s called Maybelline New York Master Glaze By FaceStudio and the shade that I am currently wearing in the picture is Make a Mauve. I love it because at times I have such a hard time finding a blush that will give me a more natural flush. I have a very yellow undertone to my skin so applying strong red or super pink blushes makes me look like Homie the Clown (laughs). Not a good look!

1966: What type of blush do you normally wear then?

Alicia: I usually just stick to a blush that is more peachy-orange. I find that such a shade is more universally pleasing on all skin tones so I stick to that family of tints. However, I love the look of rosy cheeks on women, to me it gives such a youthful, fresh look to the skin.

1966: Agreed. So then, why do you recommend Maybelline New York Master Glaze?

Alicia: If you have a strong undertone like me, you already know the struggle. This product seems to almost diffuse the yellow undertone giving me a nice warm complexion. Also, it lasts and stays on all day without having to reapply which helps save on product and money in the end.
