This past weekend Karreuche worked the tint “Saigon” to the 26th Annual Environmental Media Association Awards. EMA is known for their educating the public on environmental issues as well as motivating others to action. Tran hit the green carpet (so fitting) in a Missguided design.

T Magazine is the The New York Times revolutionary style magazine. For their latest edition they are showing off Michelle like we have never seen her before! Obama serves up major face and at first glance you think, “Naomi?”

Michelle’s lovely bone structure is front and center for the cover as well as the accompanying editorial. Michelle is apart of T magazine’s “Greats” edition. The issue also features stories on Lady Gaga, Junya Watanabe, Kerry James Marshall, Massimo Bottura, Zadie Smith and William Eggleston. The “Greats” will be available on newsstands inside the NY Times beginning on Sunday, October 23.

The issue also includes some nice thank you letters to Michelle. Jon Meacham wrote, “Mrs. Obama, a clear-eyed lawyer, found a way to withstand the scrutiny of the spotlight… To borrow a phrase from William Faulkner, she not only endured it; she prevailed over it.”

Rashida Jones shared a few thoughts as well. She stated, “You can go to Princeton and Harvard, you can rap with Missy Elliott, you can be a mother and a lawyer and a powerful [public speaker].

Keke’s take on fiery red hair has included really short strands and a longer length version. Although we adore Palmer with her short cuts we are definitely feeling the longer hair and red tint. Unfortunately, red tends to fade and fast. Use pomegranate or cherry juice as a wash in order to enhance red tones. The juices produce a nice “stain” keeping the hair color more vibrant.
Stylists rule of thumb with red hair color is that the darker your skin tone the darker the red hue should be. If a garment in a particular red tint does not look right on your skin tone most likely neither would it on your strands. When choosing the proper red shade try going to a beauty supply store first and try on various red wigs. That way you can see yourself in the right color before any chemicals touch your hair.
When cleansing red strands use cold water instead of hot water if you can stand it. Hot water will encourage red dye to slip right out. So then, get use to bundling up after showers!
Save your dye job from being ruined from tap water! Water from the tap can be a little harsh on strands due to some of the minerals that have seeped their way in over time. Try adding a few drops of vinegar to your final rinse. The vinegar will aid in dissolving the calcium from the tap as well as lock the cuticles thus enhancing shine.
Also save your color from fading caused by heat styling tools. Keep all heat styling to a minimum and if you absolutely must use a dryer, curler or flat iron always apply a heat protector product first.

Jour/Ne recently revealed their 2017 Spring/Summer collection during Paris Fashion Week. The makeup that accompanied each garment was executed using all MAC Cosmetics. MAC put it best regarding the red lip color when it captioned a Jour/Ne pic stating, “Snow White, eat your heart out.”
