If you are making too much of a “statement” by overdecorating your cubicle, then that is just plain wrong.
It is tough enough to keep your job these days, so why make matter worse by having the loudest cube on the row? Why be judged on anything, but the quality of your work? Overdecorating your cube is a major distraction and sends the wrong message about “you”. In a nutshell, an “over-the-top” work environment is bad business. So, just don’t do it.
