Mara Hoffman showed us all how to do summer hair and beauty right! Model’s tresses were big and voluminous due to stunning chic waves. Moreover, in the beauty department makeup was kept rather clean and simple with the focus mainly on the eyes. Lashes were curled and exaggerated thanks to Stila Mile High Lashes Mascara. Peepers also received a slight pop of color via eyeliner, the Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Emerald. A bit of bronzer was used over foundation to make skin glow and then the look was completed with a peach lip stain.

Forget the whole beauty notion that summer makeup can’t include darker shades of color or can’t showcase some extra drama. Yes, the lighter beauty colors normally made available during the spring and summer seasons can be fun to play with, however, that does not mean you must leave out darker shades from your makeup looks. Dark lips are definitely in and even during spring/summer runway shows dramatic cat-eye makeup was all the rage. Modernize the look by allowing your upper eyelid line to float instead of traditionally just framing or following the lash line. During the Atelier Versace runway show model’s cat-eye makeup included liner being drawn along the crease.

Beauty Quickie:At some point in life, most of us will have to deal with a unwanted pimple popping up to reveal itself to the entire world. Don’t despair ladies just fake clear skin! Makeup artist Stephanie Flor says this can be accomplished by tea tree oil as soon as you spot the little enemy.

Beauty Answer: Just a few steps are all that’s needed to keep your eye makeup from smudging. First, take blotting sheets or tissue get rid of any excess oil or makeup from the eye area. Next, to ensure everything stays cemented in place apply a small amount of cream concealer.

The key is consistency and realizing that lashes need a little attention on a daily basis. Cheap Can Be Chic: Here’s a little trick if lash conditioners are not quite in the budget at the moment. Buy a moisturizing lip balm and apply a little to your lashes every night.
Alright ladies we have all summer to get you prepped for next school year’s picture day or if you just want to look fierce in your summer selfies and pics with friends you are going to want to keep reading! Some find great anxiety in taking photos whether for a very specific reason or just for kicks. However, there are a few things you can do to look more flawless.
1. Dress Accordingly– It can feel like one big fashion show on Instagram and Tumblr, but remember it is about you and not everyone else. Wear clothes that fit well and that are not too busy. That loud geometric print ensemble may look a little messy in a photo, remember that less can be more and streamline.
2. Check Yo’ Self– You would not believe how many times that hair can mess up an otherwise “perfect” photo. Always look yourself over or have a trusted friend check you out and fix accordingly.
3. Stay Up– Avoid the dreaded double chin look in photos by keeping your head up.
4. Beat the Jitters– If you tend to get nervous and look like a deer in the headlights try thinking happy thoughts. More specifically, before the photo is snapped look away for a second and think of something really funny then look back at the camera and smile.
5. Fake an Overcast– Did you know that when it is overcast outside it is actually an ideal time to take a photo? Well, now that summer is upon us you can still fake these ideal conditions by setting your camera’s flash in sunlight mode. Doing so, will actually help to even out skin tone.
6. Work Those Angles– Take a clue from celebrities who walk the red carpet, for the most part they NEVER face the camera straight on. Create a long diagonal line and ultimately slimming effect by placing one leg out in front and pivoting your body slightly to the side. Place one hand your hips and you have struck one of the most famous Hollywood poses!

I know this time of season we are all consumed into looking great for summer by toning up, changing our hair color and so on. But at the end of the day the most important thing is to learn to Love Yourself. If you don’t love yourself heavy or curvy, you won’t love yourself skinny either. It’s not a magic fix for all problems. So make sure you take care of your inner-self. That will shine through no matter what size we are. I’m sure we all know ladies that may be heavy by the medias standards but they are so outgoing, they seem to have so many friends and guys are all over them. Why? It’s because they love themselves which exudes confidence and those are shinning qualities that no Pilates or exercise DVD can give you.
In the list of embarrassing moments I think most of us can add being told we have lip color smeared all over our teeth. Thus, begins the tongue battle of trying to remove said lip color with the occasional reassurance question to the person who revealed the issue, ” Uh, did I get it?” From now on wear lipstick with confidence that your teeth shall be spared with a simple old Hollywood trick.
After you have applied the lip color of your choice place your index finger inside of your mouth, close your mouth then slowly pull the finger back out.
