Summer time is usually fun time and the more of it that we can have the better.
Technically speaking, summer lasts from June 21 to September 23. However, unofficially most of us think of summer as lasting from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
With that thought in mind, we will get an extra week of summer this year. How so? Well, Memorial Day (which is always the last Monday in May) is falling on its earliest possible date, and Labor Day (the first Monday in September) on its last possible date.
The last time this happened was in 2009 and won’t happen again until 2020; so kick up your heels and enjoy the extra week people.
Fire up the barbecue grills, gather by the pools and soak up the sun because the leaves will be falling and autumn will be here before you know it.
