In fashion visuals are everything. For his latest campaign Maxwell utlizes both videos and photography to highlight his designs. Regarding details as well as the inspiration behind the campaign, Brandon Maxwell says,

“Introducing the first in a series of six videos for our Fall-Winter 2017 Campaign, starring Joan Smalls. I’ve never set out to do a traditional campaign. In many ways these projects begin less as a vehicle to sell the clothing and more as a therapeutic exercise. To help me gain a deeper understanding of the industry within I work. Maintain some sense of self and to stay steady on the path in search for something I know to be true.

Each season’s campaigns are meant to show my world through my eyes. In this instance it’s the castings, the fittings, process, the way I see it. A world where the women are cast as much for their brains, personality, and dedication as they are for their beauty. Our Fall-Winter 2017 Campaign features six incredible women that I have had the pleasure to get to know and work with on many projects over the years.

These are the women that bring our clothes to life. I think it’s important to hear their stories. To understand that they are more than just what they seem on the runway, and in a way, so are the clothes. They are garments that are meant to be lived in, and that have a purpose.

In all the clothes there is a space left for the woman. The power, the confidence, the unwavering sense of self. In their company, I am somehow able to find strength within myself at the time that I need it the most.”

When we first heard that ERDEM and HM were coming together for a collaboration we lost our fashion marbles. Then, the pot got even sweeter. We learned that the ERDEM x HM collection would not just include fashions for the ladies, but would prove to be quite historic. ERDEM x HM would also mark the first ever menswear collection for the UK label. Brilliant!

The campaign for this upcoming couture release stars two of the hottest names in fashion, models Imaan Hammam and Neels Visser. Both supermodels took a moment to alert their fans of the campaign along with the collection’s tentative release. They stated,

“So happy to announce my new campaign with ERDEM and HM. It’s been a pleasure to work with this incredible team! Can’t wait to see it in stores this Fall!

Now with many collaborations between fashion houses and HM; they are not always readily available in all markets. A little unfair, but with the way many stores are closing we do not blame HM for keeping things rather limited. In regards to this collection HM says, “We do not have a list of stores that will carry the collection just yet. Please check back as we get closer to the launch date, November 2nd. More information will follow later via social media. Keep an eye on the website and subscribe for the newsletter for any updates.”

As a result, we have all the runway details! From the venue to the catwalk. From the house’s rich history to also their newest modern designs. Therefore, here is your exclusive look!

Paris Couture Week: Maison Margiela Autumn-Winter 2017 ‘Artisanal’ Show

For this season’s runway show, the location is as special as the designs themselves. The fashion house explains, “Couture week is upon us: the Maison Margiela Autumn-Winter 2017 ‘Artisanal’ show will take place in Paris. The Maison Margiela ‘Artisanal’ Collection [is] designed by John Galliano.

For the first time, the ‘Artisanal’ Collection will be presented at the House’s Parisian headquarters. A former convent, and later industrial design school. The 18th century structure served as Martin Margiela’s studio and has housed Maison Margiela since 2004. Inside Maison Margiela: [the] ‘Artisanal’ show venue recreates the House’s creative process.”

Each delicately tailored garment of the Maison Margiela AW17 collection is beaming of details! As your eyes seek to encompass the big picture of a particular design; more elements seem to come to the fore. Furthermore, the ritzy fashion house kindly shares in-depth design specifications. Maison Margiela reveals,

“Highlights from our AW17 show fresh off the catwalk. Look 3 features a wool coat, held up by an inner corselet, featuring a cut-out neckline and string detailing. This ensemble is worn with detached sleeves, a white leather trench coat beat and cowboy boots.

A crin dress with a feather embroidery hem is worn with a waspie bustier. [Also] with trench cotton pin tucks.

Look 8 from our Autumn-Winter 2017 ‘Artisanal Collection features a trench coat merged with a gold brocade dress worn with a bustier.

Zooming in on Look 12. An organza and crin pin-tucked coat is paired with a trompe l’oeil trench coat.

A knit decortique bustier top is worn with a feather skirt, a knit belt and a twil lining shoulder pad accessory in Look 14.

Look 21. A silk crepe silk dress in reverse decortique with gold plated studs and embroidery worn with a pearl cage top.

Ain’t no party, like a Revolve party! Nothing says summer good times like pools, DJs and hot fashion trends! The Revolve in the Hamptons 2017 party had it all and still kept giving.

From today’s stylish supermodels to one of music’s golden boys. There was no short of surprises when it came to the guest list as well as chic festivities. In every way this ultimate kickback was lit!

You know it’s about to be on when you are arrive and there’s a ball pit! Revolve kicked off their Independence Day weekend with a party that brought out the cool boy known as Schoolboy with a Q. The Revolve brand dropped a quick gab about the high energy performance stating,

“Thank you Schoolboy Q for hopping on a helicopter from the city to put on a private performance for us at our hamptons house. Man of the year. Revolve in the Hamptons.”

Other attendees of the event included supermodels Jasmine Tookes, Hailey Baldwin and Romee Strijd. Also, two of the hottest designers in the eye wear game showed Revolve love too. The always fabulous Coco and Breezy showcased their sick dance moves and recapped Revolve in the Hamptons 2017 saying,

“It’s too lit! While rocking our Coco and Breezy x Ciroc sunnies at the Revolve in the Hamptons party, we kept jumping off the stage during our DJ sets to jam out. This song [Lil Booties Matter] by Trap Beckham is currently our new jam! Thanks Princeton Perez for being our dance partner.”
