Netflix is still reigning our TVs with original hit shows such as, Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why, OITNB, Fuller House and Marvel’s Daredevil. Now the streaming service is getting into the reality game with a spanking new music competition show entitled, Netflix Rhythm and Flow. The first Netflix hip hop face-off that aims to showcase the best untapped artists in the rap realm.
Rhythm and Flow will have three judges, who have all had a major impact in the music entertainment industry. Rappers T.I., Chance the Rapper and also leading the charge for the ladies, Cardi B, will use their expertise to hone in on which talents truly have the goods.

Yep… you have to be quicker than that. If you were among the thousands of beauty hopefuls wishing upon a makeup star to get the new Tom Ford Cardi Lipstick; most likely, it is still unfortunately just a wish. The Cardi B cosmetics collaboration with iconic fashion designer, Tom Ford, literally sold out in a blink of an eye.
The popularity of Cardi’s release comes as no surprise. The hip hop star and now most streamed female rapper of all time also enjoyed much attention for her couture collab with Steve Madden. A line that consisted of fabulous curated styles straight from the top footwear brand. Since fashion was such a hit, it makes sense that Cardi B would try and extend her hands into beauty.

Nevertheless, the color of Cardi’s lipstick is also well-timed. With blue lipsticks not really being seen since the beginning of the year, Cardi’s blue hue lippy was certainly a fresh breath of air. Other than a recent sighting on Janet Jackson in promotion of her Made For Now single, the lip tint was acting more like an unicorn. Rarely seen. Yet, Tom Ford and Cardi B is bringing it back to the fore and are flaunting it proudly. The Cardi lipstick is apart of the Tom Ford Boys and Girls Collection and the luxury brand says the reason Ford created the lip line is because:

Kendrick Lamar Wants to End Gang Rivalry Through Fashion
Some of us were either too little or not even alive to remember all the horrors and violence that surrounded two rival gangs… the Bloods and the Crips. However, for those that witnessed the blood spilled out between the two it is a war that you probably will never forget. Things have been much calmer than in times past, but the problem is that both gangs still exist. Where there is a flame there can come to be a fire so it is best to snuff out any remnants. Therefore, can true peace finally be achieved between these two long-time enemies?
Hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar would like to think so and has even taken action to bring on the unity, something Queen Latifah rapped about back in the day. Lamar is using fashion to make a statement. Kendrick Lamar has teamed up with the good people at Reebok to create the Ventilator “Blue & Red” Sneaker that will debut on July 18th. The sneakers have a very simple and neutral design with the exception of having the two signature colors of the Bloods (red) and Crips (blue). Could it be so easy that a little fashion could end a hateful rivalry between two L.A. gangs? Only time will tell, but its nice to see someone aiming for a better tomorrow.
