Our favorite former Bond Girl broke social media not too long ago just by joining the Instagram and Twitter ranks. Vogue Spain May 2016 Starring Jasmine Tookes With Angels

Mirror, mirror on the wall, is Jasmine Tookes the fairest of them all? Well, if not, she is definitely coming in pretty darn close! Supermodel Jasmine Tookes is radiant in the Vogue Spain May 2016 edition. She is joined by her fellow Victoria’s Secret fambam: Martha Hunt, Taylor Hill, Stella Maxwell, Sara Sampaio, Elsa Hosk and Romee Strijd. Together the girls form one of the greatest model squads to ever be captured behind a lense.

As we all know, it’s teamwork that makes the dream work and when it comes to photo shoots it takes a village. Therefore, who was behind this masterful set of visuals? The Angels editorial for the Vogue Spain May 2016 issue was captured by photographer David Bellemere. Makeup duties were handled by Fulvia Farolfi and hair was slayed by Diego Da Silva.

The hair for the Vogue Spain May 2016 cover as well as editorial was so elegant and delicate. The makeup showcased each girl’s natural beauty. Then there is the fashion that has left us absolutely breathless! One ethereal look worn by Jasmine Tookes that we cannot get enough of shows her all wind blown with her designer gown just seeming to fall gracefully right off her shoulders. For the shot Jasmine wears a soft, pastel gown by Roberto Cavalli.

This dress is just everything. It is so romantic we just imagine Romeo coming to sweep his Juliet right off of her feet in this insanely stunning number. The Angels also wear designs by Francesco Scognamiglio and yeah you guessed it, lingerie by Victoria’s Secret. Wonderful work by all involved including the lovely Angels!

Liya Kebede and Imaan Hammam For Vogue Italia April 2016

Iconic photographer Patrick Marchelier has once more created a stunning editorial for the Vogue Italia April 2016 edition. Color can be the spice of life, however, there is something majestic about classic, sophisticated black and white imagery. For the Vogue Italia April 2016 issue three models serve up a slice of visual heaven. Imaan Hammam, Liya Kebede and Gigi Hadid are all featured in the gorgeous shoot.

We especially enjoyed the stylized moody essence of the editorial. Each model displays a dark, somber yet beautiful pose that spotlights their individual glamour. The effortless and ease of their positions has a seductive, magnetic appeal. The Vogue Italia April 2016 “Individuallure” editorial by Marchelier is a come-hither masterpiece that is enchantingly captivating.

Besides, the models themselves, the fashions displayed are just as engaging. Liya, Imaan and Gigi all wear designs by Valentino. The couture proves that subtlety and simplicity can still be a very dramatic style presentation. Nevertheless, their ensembles were given extra flair thanks to bold statement jewelry.

Designer Michael Kors is putting the Californian gal back on the fashion map! For this spring season his couture is all about “Cali Cool.” To showcase his Michael Kors Spring 2016 chic garments he enlisted the talents of stunning model Malaika Firth. Firth along with supermodel, Lily Aldridge, star in the Michael Kors Spring 2016 Endless Sundays ad campaign.

Los Angeles style is not as glitzy as New York, demure as Paris or sassy as Miami. Nevertheless, it is all about being effortless and relaxed. We have no real seasons out here and the weather usually includes plenty of sun. Your laid back Sunday attire could very well be our daily uniform. However, it still takes fashion intuition to look like you didn’t do much to look amazing. California fashion is truly the epitome of the expression, “I woke up like this.” Maybe that’s why our style vibe is just so cool.

So how do Californian girls dress for spring and summer? The Michael Kors Spring 2016 collection perfectly captures the Californian spirit. White couture dominates the campaign’s color palette. Moreover, we love our dresses, skirts, sandals and shades out here. Those pieces ensure that we can keep the sun out of our eyes, enjoy the beach sand and comfortably deal with the heat as well as calm breeze. When we first laid eyes on the editorial for the Rue De Francois Spring 2016 Collection we were utterly speechless. There are not enough words to describe such beauty, but we shall try. The color palette marries together rich and warm colors that invoke luxury and pure opulence. This is fashion that is fit for a queen.

All pieces are hand made and are very well executed. Skill and love is what we noticed throughout the Rue De Francois Spring 2016 collection. The founder, Lorenzo Walker has been sewing since the tender age of 11. All those years of honing in on his craft have paid off for Walker who recently showed his fashions during NYFW.

Nevertheless, his efforts are paying off in another way as well. We recently discovered that Rue De Francois is the first ever Not for Profit House of Fashion. Lorenzo aims to share his knowledge of fashion and use all charitable donations, given or received, towards the disadvantaged and homeless.

Congratulations to Lorenzo Walker for chasing his dreams and being an advocate for those in need. Moreover, the Rue De Francois Spring 2016 collection is absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to see more in the future.

Karreuche Tran could adorn herself with a paper bag and still make the masses swoon. However, lucky for all of us fashion addicts she has chosen to give us dramatic avant garde! Tran dazzles in an editorial for Kontrol mag which is found inside of their Indulge in Fashion edition. From top to bottom Karreuche looks straight out of a fairytale.

Once upon time Karreuche slayed in a design by Dar Sara and she lived happily ever after. The high fashion gown that Karreuche wears is embellished with Swarovski crystals provided by Crystal House. Her just as stunning heels are a creation of shoe designer Alejandra G.

Inside Kontrol Mag Karreuche gets real about public perception. She is quoted as saying, “Everyone expects me to be a b***h.” Well, if Tran wanted to be one she would definitely have the achievements to back up the attitude. She has a red hot career as a model, actress, television producer in which she has also won an Emmy. Moreover, she has collaborated with top notch brands in order to create flash tattoos and a line of makeup.

Nevertheless, even with so much success Karreuche is a humble, gorgeous girl. The beauty on the inside and outside type. People may have her all wrong, but she is doing everything so right!

Naomi Campbell For Balmain SS16

Many of us are too young to remember the reign of the 80’s supermodels, but a quick google search will clearly show why they were so special. They were gorgeous, talented and did not get out of bed if the money wasn’t right. From magazine covers to editorials, from campaigns to music videos as well as commercials they were like Visa, everywhere you want to be. The 80’s were about extragance and these ladies were the epitome and could do no wrong.

For this reason, we were beside ourselves when we got our first look at the Balmain Paris Spring/Summer 2016 Ad Campaign. Three supermodels that can still slay women half their age had been casted to show off Balmain’s exquisite designs! Proving that age is really just a number Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer brought the heat to spring’s hottest fashions.

The campaign was lensed by Steven Klein with Pascal Dangin as art director. Oliver Rousteing has been teasing fashion fans for a few days now asking were they ready for 2016. Whether they were ready for it or not Oliver put the hammer down and dropped the proverbial fashion mic. With an one-two punch Rousteing seamlessly introduced the fashion world to as he described via Instagram, “iconic history” that involved a true “dream team.” We couldn’t agree more with his sentiments and are thrilled as well as in awe as to what has been created.

As diversity in the fashion world continues to be spread why not toss in the age factor as well? Women do not stop being fashionable entities after the age of 25 even if they are considered veterans in the modeling industry at such a tender age. Therefore, let’s continue to celebrate beauty in all of its numerous forms regardless of color or numerical identification.

Top 5 Winter Hair Care Tips

During the winter season you have to treat your tresses with extra care. Hair care in during this season is about protecting hair from the frigid elements outside and the dry heated air indoors. Here are 5 tips for keeping your tresses healthy throughout winter.

Put A Cap On It-Freezing winter winds can wreak havoc on your locks. Wearing protective accessories such as hats can shield tresses from the cold, drying winds and prevent hair from becoming dry and brittle.
Add Some Moisture-outdoor winds take a toll on your hair, so does the dry, artificially heated indoor air. Using a humidifier may help here since it will help increase the moisture of indoor air. This prevents drying out of the hair and skin and prevents hair from becoming brittle and prone to breakage.
Turn Down the Heat-Using very hot water to shampoo hair is going to dry it out further and will rob the hair and scalp of natural oils and moisture. Therefore, try and keep the water tepid at least for shampooing and rinsing.
Change Out Products– During winter it is best to change to products that will prevent your locks from losing moisture due to drier air. Be sure to use moisture rich products that have deep conditioning formulations.
Be Less Electrifying– Static tends to rear its head once temperatures take a dip and can mess with hair manageability. Keep strands in control with a hair detangler, a leave-in conditioner or hair spray.

We would like to welcome Deanna S. Reid back into the 1966 house as she introduces us to some more amazing fashions this time by Woman’s Touch Apparel. We had the amazing opportunity to interview Deanna and she spilled the deets on everything from photography to fashion. Enjoy and don’t forget to scroll to see more of her editorial look book.

1966: What was the inspiration or deciding factor that motivated you to enter the world of photography?

Deanna R.: My father bought me my first point and shoot camera when I was in middle school. I always snapped pictures with family and friends. In college, I bought my first professional camera and shot my best friend’s audition photos for America’s Next Top Model. From there I started learning the technical aspects of photography from other photographers and online tutorials.

1966: Have you always had a love or passion for taking photos?

Deanna R.: Photography has always been my passion but now it is my goal to pursue it. I’m at the point in my life where my passion for the work is undeniable. The urge to progress is constant.

1966: We absolutely love your fashion editorial pieces, are there any challenges to getting the perfect shot?

Deanna R.: The challenge is not finding the right shot. The challenge or rather the excitement is finding the connection to the subject that builds the momentum to the shots that we want. It’s a collaborative effort.

1966: We can’t get enough of the “Bad Gal” tee but what was your favorite fashion piece from the shoot?

Deanna R.: My favorite piece was the Bad Gal Crop Top Out of Africa Edition. The print is bold and fun!

1966: Lastly Deanna, if you could photograph any celebrity from now or the past, who would it be and why?

Deanna R.: Sorry I can’t choose one celebrity lol. I would do a collaborative shoot with Erykah Badu and Solange. They are beautiful women who embrace individuality and creativity in music and fashion.
