How to Wear Stripes With Hips

How to Wear Stripes With Hips2

Having a vixen physique, you know the 36-24-36 types hip hop artists and rock stars have been crooning about for decades will never be a bad thing. Nevertheless, being shaped like Jessica Rabbit can be a challenge when wearing certain styles. Most of us do not want to look bigger than our natural size, so then how can stripes be rocked without adding girth to the hip area?

The key is which way the stripes are flowing on the garment, skirt or dress. Look slimmer by wearing pieces that have diagonal or vertical stripes. Instead of seeing lines that emphasis the widest part of your body, stripes that do not run horizontally will create an elongating effect.

Cute Spring 2015 Fashion Polka Dots

Looking cute for spring is as simple as adding a print to your wardrobe. Polka dots were all the rage during spring fashion week, including during shows for Chloe, Dolce & Gabbana, Thakoon and Moschino. See a few more examples of this trend down below.

Binx Walton For Alexander Wang SS 2015 Ad Campaign

Binx Walton is one of six models to be apart of Alexander Wang’s SS 2015 ad campaign. The party bus theme features the ladies oozing with stylish sass and sex appeal. In a season drowning with campaigns casting celebrities Wang holds true to using models to showcase his designs.

Wang says, “These girls, most of whom have been in my campaigns for a couple of seasons now—I think it’s just to show that I really believe in them. I always am a big advocate for models. In this moment, I just really felt that there’s a lot of great new faces, and could do something that really showed this authentic, genuine message of them hanging out, and also their relationship to the brand. And how fun they are.”

Autumn/Winter Fashion: The Plaid Pant

Fashionable Mention-Plaid-and-Tartan-Pants-2014-2015-For-Women2

Many fashionistas find the autumn and winter seasons to be enjoyable times to be stylish. Usually more layers are needed which means more couture that gets to be modeled (yes, the streets are our personal runways) and incorporated into an ensemble. Sometimes, the power of a great pant can easily get overlooked. Nevertheless, that is why the plaid pant should be a part of your wardrobe during the cooler months.

With plaid you don’t necessarily need to channel 90’s grunge (although we think that would be pretty hot) you can simply think of it as an addition to mixing and matching your favorite fall/winter pieces. Pair a plaid pant with knitwear, blazers, long vests, leather jackets and graphic tees. The overall look is attention-grabbing and effortlessly cool.

Fashion Tip: Since these bottoms can be quite bold, compliment them with more muted and less loud tops.

Binx Walton for Urban Outfitters Pre-Fall 2014 Collection

Binx Walton Urban Outfitters Pre-Fall 2014

We would like to take a moment and quote Will Smith, “I want to welcome you to the Wild, Wild West!” Okay, now that we got that out of our system, on to what we love…fashion! Binx Walton is showing her cowgirl prowess for Urban Outfitters 2014 Pre-Fall collection. The lookbook was shot by Deyvn Galindo and showcases very boho chic styles that perfect for us west coast gals that are still dealing with end of summer-like heat. The collection is chock full of plaid, leather and cowboy denim that is sure to put the rancher in couture. Take note of all the layering that will enable these pieces to transition into the autumn season seamlessly.

Binx Walton For Chanel Fall/Winter 2014 Ad Campaign

The lovely Binx Walton is “fit” to be in Chanel’s ad campaign for autumn/fall 2014 collection. Walton can be seen with fellow supermodel Cara Delevingne working it out in a gym setting. Okay, we will stop with all the puns for a second just so we can express how amazing this campaign looks and feels. The fashions are strong yet soft, edgy but romantic. You can be a good girl gone bad in these fabulous couture styles or a bad girl reforming…well, just a little anyway (wink, wink). Congrats to Binx for scoring yet another fabulous ad campaign for another iconic fashion house.

Binx Walton For Coach F/W 2014 Campaign

COACH HITS THE RESET BUTTON: First came the clothes, and now, the campaign.

Coach under the creative direction of Stuart Vevers is definitely changing things up. The photos, which feature Vevers’ debut ready-to-wear collection, feature an “image-on-image” style, juxtaposing new portraits lensed by Steven Meisel against photos from Joel Sternfeld’s “Landscape With Path” series.

“It was important that it felt true to the spirit of the new Coach girl, but even more importantly was for people to sense a change,” said Vevers. “This is a reset.”

Vevers decided to feature up-and-coming models like Leona Binx Walton for the new look for Coach. “It’s about the next generation,” said Vevers. “To me, that also signaled a sense of change in newness and capturing these girls that feel fresh and new.”

“We’re not just a fashion brand,” he said. “We’re not just a brand with history. We’re a brand that has a very strong DNA as a house of quality, a house of leather and a house of craftsmanship. The photos represent who we are today and where we are going. It’s a youthful, Millennial consumer very much dressed in a modern expression of today’s workwear. And that’s how people globally are dressing.”
