Fight! Just kidding, but really which one is better when it comes to makeup application, a foundation brush or makeup sponge? Everyone has their own preferences, but knowing the pros and cons may help you weigh your decision.

In the long run makeup sponges are more likely to cost you more money. Why is that you ask? While they are useful at helping you to apply cosmetics, they soak up a lot of liquid foundation. In the grand scheme of things your sponge is probably sucking up more makeup than what actually winds up on your face.

Okay, so what about the foundation brush, what is it’s deal? Foundation brushes allow you to be more precise during application creating a more even look. Moreover, you will waste less makeup because you are using just what is actually needed.

Beauty Quickie: Remember when you had an upset stomach and your mom ran and got a bottle of the pink stuff? Yeah, turns out that good ol’ bottle of Pepto Bismol can do wonders for your skin. Who knew?! It turns out that this wonder medicine contains an ingredient known as, bismuth subsalicylate which is found an abundant amount of facial creams. Now you can unlock all the benefits of our new pink friend, here’s how:

Slather a small amount of Pepto all over your face (about 2 teaspoons)
Allow it to dry for 15-25 minutes
Lastly, rinse it off with warm water and enjoy your refreshed skin!

Removing all excess dirt, oil or moisturizer from your nails will ensure that the polish adheres properly. Therefore, invest in an acetone-based cleanser and always wipe nails with your cleanser very well before any nail polish application.

Fashion designers and beauty enthusiasts concur that Erykah Badu is a bonafide icon. From her sultry and anthem lyrical masterpieces to her striking natural beauty, Erykah is truly in a class all by herself. Due to her uniqueness we couldn’t wait to make Miss Badu our beauty of the night.

As usual we had difficulties settling on one look so we chose to narrow it down to two. The first look is a classic red lip (major trend for this season). Erykah just looks too cool for school and demontrates that when applied correctly a strong makeup look does not have to overpower your fashions. Badu’s accessories are already intensely bold yet her makeup simply complements her overall look without exerting dominance.
