So then, what is in store for readers with the latest edition of Vogue Portugal? In a very concise, short and sweet statement Vogue summed it up in just two sentences, highlighting women supporting women. The journal reveals,

“We are one. Sisterhood is the theme for Vogue Portugal’s November issue. Out now.”

Nevertheless, Vogue is still Vogue. Even though it is aiming to make quite a statement this month, within it’s pages you will still see why it is nicknamed the “fashion bible.” It will be displaying several couture artisans that showcase the best that there is in the high-end realm. Regarding this, Vogue says,

“A year ago, it was the white color that marked the anniversary of Vogue Portugal; with exclusive pieces of 15 national creators. In the November edition, there are 14 Portuguese fashion names that give life to silhouettes [and] shade changes; specially created for the nude project of this edition. “Skin” [is] an editorial must-see.”

Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2016 – NYFW

Collection: Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2016

Designer: Tommy Hilfiger

Models Who Walked the Show: Tami Williams, Lineisy Montero, Alecia Morais, Leomie Anderson, Jasmine Tookes, Aaya Jones, Imaan Hammam, Kai Newman, Karly Loyce andAmilna estevão

On The Runway: I’m not sure if Tommy Hilfiger is still trying to get on our good side with the black community, but I will say that this collection is a good step in the right direction. I have never seen him use so many models of color that it’s quite shocking. The collection was great and a bit different from what we usually see from Mr. Hilfiger. The vibe was quite Jamaican, safari islander girl. The crochet pieces with the use of ethnic prints and colors were spectacular yet still had the refinement of a true Hilfiger collection. Bravo!!

Designer: Diane von Furstenberg

Models Who Walked the Show: Lineisy Montero, Binx Walton, Imaan Hammam, Amilna Estevão, Anais Mali, Tami Williams, Maria Borges, Aya jones, Karly Loyce, Jourdan Dunn

On The Runway: Diane von Furstenberg called her show Fortvna, after the Roman goddess of luck and the subject of the first painting Von Furstenberg ever bought. The verdict, we love it! Diane is on fire right now, her hit TV show is back on and her Spring/Summer 2016 collection shows why this woman is so successful. She understands woman, what we feel comfortable in and how to show off our best assets. Plus with the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress we should all look to Diane since she knows about longevity,  hard-work and perseverance.

On The Runway: The Opening Ceremony S/S 2016 – NYFW collection looked like an art project gone right. It had a sort of collage feel to the clothes in where all the right pieces of fabric molded together to form a beautiful end result. There was a lot of black in this collection but it was offset with burnt orange, hues of cream and banana yellow.
