The Sidewalk Spotted (sidewalk spotted is the hashtag for inquiring fashionable minds) Michael Kors Street Style Campaign is actually a two part ad. The campaign fittingly entitled “The Walk” features Solange walking the streets of NYC in select MK pieces. One couture highlight because we are totally handbag obsessed is the MK Brooklyn Crossbody.

The Brooklyn Crossbody is the perfect accessory to tote around town. Its small, stylish yet highly efficient. Large enough to house your daily essentials yet not so big that it is a burden to carry.

The Campaign

In regards to Solange rocking his looks, Kors describes it as, “The last word in cool.” Furthermore, speaking of the campaign itself the MK family introduced it through social stating,

“Vibing in the village with Solange Knowles in part 1 of our new street style campaign… she shows us how to rock her favorite fall trends. Our Brooklyn crossbody, paired back to a floaty, feminine silk bow-tie dress, adds just the right amount of edge, while flash lens sunglasses and white oxfords complete the look.”

We all love seeing what black celebrity kids are up to as much as their famous parents. These kids literally have the world as their oysters. What will they choose to pursue? Maybe a career in acting, singing or perhaps directing? Some celebrity kids show early on where they are heading in the future. If it was up to us to predict we think P. Diddy’s little girls may just be the next Naomi or Tyra.

First of all, can these pint-size ladies get any cuter? P. Diddy’s daughters served up some major adorableness as they starred in an ad campaign for their father’s couture brand, Sean John. The girls wear high-end streetwear that includes hoodies, sweatpants and shirt dress.

Did model Kim Porter give them pointers on how to slay? Maybe, but there also looks to be plenty of raw natural too. Diddy excitedly took to social media posting a photo of his daughters with the caption, “My babies! #FamilyFirst.”

Hair Notes: We loved the hairstyling spotted in the ad campaign that was fierce while being very age appropriate. Heck, we would totally rock their super chic hair looks! Diddy’s girls worked it out in high ponytails and stylish chignon. Showing that black celebrity kids stay killing and setting trends. Way to go girls, you all looked fabulous!

Thus, proving that as a leader it is still okay to let your hair down and have fun. For this reason Variety is featuring Flotus as Michelle Obama wears Jonathan Simkhai.

Mrs. Obama over the years has captured hearts despite much criticism. Nevertheless, Variety highlights how Michelle is now a debonair leading lady. Variety states, “Michelle Obama used her passion, smarts and entertainment savvy to transition from White House supporting player to beloved media star.”

We couldn’t agree with that statement more. Obama will go down as one of great First Ladies who truly resonated with “the people.” Always a class act and fighting for the good of the nation.

Michelle Obama’s Variety feature hit stands this week on Tuesday, August 22nd. Her stunning editorial was lensed by Art Streiber. For the story Michelle Obama wears Jonathan Simkhai. The black and white dress from the Pre-Fall 2016 collection got quite a reaction on social.

No star is exempt from haters and Karreuche is no stranger to receiving them. As a result she has learned how to live and how to do her thing despite any naysayers. In regards to her new outlook Karreuche Tran simply says,

“I have nothing to say to anyone who has anything negative to say.”

A great rule of thumb for anyone. Just keep your head up and doing you. Don’t focus on the negativity because misery loves company and life is too darn short for that!

If we had to guess which celebrity would probably survive if the world came to an end Rihanna would be high on the list. She has mastered the art of truly being herself in an industry full of fabrication. Plus, she has overcome negativity and past lukewarm sales to become one of the biggest artists of all time!

She is deemed a fashion icon and has even surpassed MJ on the charts when it comes to number ones. If she can achieve being one of the last musicians of her “time” to still be relevant over a decade later. Rihanna can definitely be the last woman standing here on earth.

No one can do it like a badgal. The Rihanna W magazine September 2016 editorial is a moody masterpiece. Photography was lensed by the extremely gifted Steven Klein. Also, styling for the shoot was of course handled by the one and only Edward Enninful.

Nevertheless, we cannot ignore the exquisite makeup looks adorned by Rihanna. The extraordinary beauty looks were designed by the infamous Pat McGrath. Pat went all out even creating 3D art that intensified Rihanna’s facial features. As a result, RiRi seems to pop right off the page and she looks like she missed her calling as a supermodel.

At first glance you notice two familiar faces. A hip hop mogul turned designer and world renown supermodel. Kanye West and Joan Smalls both star in the Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign.

This crisp, dramatic monochromatic campaign is a total 180 from some of the other recent Balmain campaign sightings. For instance, the Resort 2017 ad campaign is lusciously vibrant! From the fashions to the background setting everything just pops.

The Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign though simplistic in a sense still plays on drama. In the shot West seems to be tipping over as Smalls reaches out with all her strength to try to prevent his fast approaching fate.

The Details

Olivier Rousteing describes the Fall – Winter campaign as “Music Meets Fashion.” Very fitting since an iconic musician and heavily sought after model were both casted. Moreover, West over the years has turned his attention to couture. Thus, bringing the fusion full circle. Kanye has collaborated with Balmain on Yeezy fashions and it looks like stylish marriage continues on with the addition of the campaign.

The fabulous Pascal Dangin who blessed the Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign with his magical fingers took to social to announce the ad’s release. He said,

The gorgeous Fall/Winter campaign for Tiffany & Co is a stunning visual of sophication and decadence. The ad was cast as well as styled by the fabulous Grace Coddington and lensed by David Sims. Grace’s creative work stars Lupita Nyong’o, Elle Fanning, Natalie Westling and the always beautiful Christy Turlington!

The campaign carries the tagline, “Some style is legendary.” Therefore, it is fitting to use a legendary supermodel, a fresh face model with edge and two actresses who can’t set the big screen ablaze with their talents.

Not that Marc Jacobs needs that type of help at all. Yet, its cool that a major couture house recognizes Missy’s strong style. What did MJ have to say about Missy’s style and selecting Elliot?
