Rihanna and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Donate 15 million

Rihanna and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Donate 15 million to Mental Health Services; to help aid those affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. Rihanna continues “Work” to help address “mental health issues; food insecurity; income loss and the needs of individuals excluded from federal stimulus programs in Newark and Chicago.

This is not the first time that Rih and Jack have join forces for good. Back in April the pair also put their coins together for the greater good when they made a donation to Los Angeles shelters. Sources reveal that over 4 million dollars went to these L.A. shelters.

Through her Clara Lionel foundation Rihanna mentions what she hopes to accomplish with Dorsey. The foundation reveals,

“As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the need for support in communities hardest hit remains dire. That’s why, together with Start Small; we are donating more than $15 million to support mental health services; food distribution, economic assistance; and health equity efforts.

Racial injustices perpetrated by systems built to keep people safe are exacerbating the coronavirus’s mental health impact on individuals; and families across the United States. Even as the majority of states have begun lifting restrictions in recent days. Millions of Americans continue to face daunting challenges when it comes to their health; mental and economic well-being.

[Many are] facing impossible decisions everyday. Whether to buy groceries or pay utility bills. Risk eviction or risk crowded shelters.”

As one can see, the Covid pandemic is causing a number of stressing problems for many throughout the U.S. and the world. And things seem to be only getting worse. Therefore, it is always nice to see people band together to help others in need.
