Takisha Sturdivant-Drew has been Kerry Washington’s hairstylist for over 20 years. The two are more than just business aquaintances, they are like sisters. Takisha loves working with Kerry because of how smart and caring she is. And that she is never one to shy away from trying something new. “Kerry listens to our vision and also gives her input as well. And she always has fun with it. She is like a chameleon in the way that we can take her from one look to the next.” says Takisha.

For this year’s Critics Choice Awards, Takisha wanted to complement Kerry’s off the shoulder Armani Privé dress with a bouncy and fun hairstyle that brought out her natural beauty. “Once I saw the dress I knew I wanted to pull it back, but I still wanted to see her hair. So we chose a sleek, pulled back look with lots of volume coming down the back. She looked like a goddess.” says Takisha.
