New York Fashion Week: Fenty x Puma SS18 Runway Show

Hello Moto! Rihanna once again brought Fashion Week to it’s knees! We’re talking about flying motorcycles, a rolling pink obstacle catwalk and of course the flyest models in the game. The Fenty x Puma SS18 fashion show was an edgy fashionista’s dream.

The songstress turned fashion designer showcased a runway show inspired by the Moto X, extreme sports community. The fashions are certainly of the athleisure fold. A popular trend designed for making athletic wear more stylish to be worn in situations outside of workouts or athletic activities.

The show was very much RiRi-eqse, making it a cinch to see bits and pieces of her personal flair throughout. Puma obviously agreed. While showing highlights of the Fenty x Puma SS18 show the Puma brand says, “Introducing the new daredevil Fenty x Puma collection by Badgalriri (Rihanna). Making waves the only way Rihanna can. NYFW.”

Several pieces and garments caught our eye (i.e. tracksuits, hoodies, bodysuits and amazing outerwear). However, one element that could not be ignored is Rihanna’s fabulously designed shoes! Bold colors, interesting heel options, comfy slippers and thigh high sporty boots that are definitely made for walking slid their way down the catwalk. Furthermore, our personal favorite design is a flip flop converted into an ankle strap heel. It’s a laid back look with a certain je ne sais quoi that can not be ignored.

After the high energy show the lady of the hour briefly talked about her Fenty x Puma SS18 runway show. Miss Robyn Fenty says,

“When the X-Games come to fashion week. Thank you guys for making this show the best one yet! I feel like the coolest on the block now! Lol!

Shoutout to all my beautiful and talented models who absolutely murdered this show last night.”

So then, who were some of the models who stomped the catwalk yard? We loved seeing Joan Smalls, Slick Woods, Duckie Thot as well as Victoria’s Secret supermodel Adriana Lima. Now no fashion show is complete without celebrity fanfare. Therefore, who made their way out to NYFW in order to support Rihanna’s big night? We spied Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Cardi B, Jhene Aiko, Ty Dolla Sign, A$ap Ferg, Offset and Dave East to name a few.

Nevertheless, now TT is adding one more item to her ever growing resume: runway model. Ah yes, NYFW SS18 wasn’t ready as Teyana Taylor Closes GCDS Fashion Show!

Clothing brand, GCDS, heated things up during NYFW with a fashion show certainly for the style books. The collection featured several pieces oozing of mid 90s glamour. Think crop tops, layers, chain belts, logo pants and shirts as well as mini skirts.

Moreover, Teyana’s closing number garments screamed Queen Bee. Naw not Beyonce, we mean the original and notorious Ms. Lil’ Kim! Teyana Taylor hit the catwalk in an all white couture ensemble featuring a cropped top, stunner shades, booty shorts and gold chains as well as accessories.

Nevertheless, for a quick moment can we talk about Teyana’s walk?! Believe us when we say this lovely girl is straight MEAN on a runway. Her walk is powerful and fierce like Naomi.
