Binx Walton for Alexander Wang SS 2015 Ad Campaign

Binx Walton is one of six models to be apart of Alexander Wang’s SS 2015 ad campaign. The party bus theme features the ladies oozing with stylish sass and sex appeal. In a season drowning with campaigns casting celebrities Wang holds true to using models to showcase his designs.

Wang says, “These girls, most of whom have been in my campaigns for a couple of seasons now—I think it’s just to show that I really believe in them. I always am a big advocate for models. In this moment, I just really felt that there’s a lot of great new faces, and could do something that really showed this authentic, genuine message of them hanging out, and also their relationship to the brand. And how fun they are.”

Karen Walker Spring/Summer 2015 Ad Campaign

I couldn’t wait to do a write up regarding Karen Walker’s ad campaign for spring/summer because it has two things that I love: sunglasses and cuteness. In a world of super models, where 5’9 and kick butt cheek bones can score some camera time Walker’s campaign deviates from the fashion industry “norm.” For her collection she chose an unlikely yet fitting model who is huge on Instagram. Ladies and gentlemen we present, Toast, the adorable pooch showcasing Karen’s latest looks.

Toast models five different sunglasses in high fashion glam style with full wind effects and perfect lighting. The campaign was shot by photographer Tom Schirmacher who captured Walker’s vision perfectly. Regarding the campaign and her choice to cast Toast Karen said, “We were after a model for this campaign who could fit with our caramel-y color palette and also someone whose hair would work with our three wind machines hitting her from every angle to create a slightly ’70s vibe. Toast ticked every one of those boxes.”

America’s Next Top Model’s Winnie Harlow is proving that true beauty cannot be defined or categorized by skin color. Winnie gained attention and fans from around the globe for her modeling prowess as well as strength to immerse herself in the fashion industry despite having a skin discoloration condition known as vitilago. Harlow is continuing to smash barriers this year by being apart of Diesel’s Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign.

The campaign contains multiple group shots that look lively, fun and effortlessly chill. The cool kids have definitely come out to play and they are ready to party whether they are in their skivvies or some killer leather or denim. Congratulations to Harlow on the campaign and remember that you can do anything and everything you put your mind to achieve.

Solange Knowles Eleven Paris Spring/Summer 2015 Ad Campaign

Eleven Paris does it again with another fresh, stylish ad campaign for the spring/summer seasons. We had loved their campaign with hip hop artist Wiz Kalifa and now they have ushered in another level of cool by this time having Solange Knowles as their fashion muse.

Beauty Notes: We loved the big hair and the emphasis that was maintained on the eyes. The look includes a strong brow and remains youthful but fun with the light colored eyeshadow.

Fashionable Mention: Alexander McQueen RTW Spring 2015

We like it, we love it and we definitely want more of it! This heel by Alexander McQueen has a lot going on but it all flows together quite nicely. There are cutouts, string lace ups, cute petal detailing (so perfect for spring) and oh yeah missing the back of the heel! Well not quite, it is there just not in the traditional way. Instead of a vertical heel it has been replaced with a curved version that is found only at the base.

Swarovski Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

The right accessory can add so much value and beauty to your couture look. We were excited to see Swarovski’s 2015 spring/summer collection which inspiration was drawn from a dreamy, modern garden. Nathalie Colins who is the collection’s Creative Director mentioned:

“The Crystal Garden collection reaffirms the brand’s passion for modernity, which is why we have turned to flora, fauna, and insects for inspiration to create fluid and feminine lines and motifs.”

The entire collection color palette flows from springtime pastels to warmer summer tints. Moreover, playing off the nature theme the jewelry accessories’ stones were cut as to resemble petals and leaves. We fell in love with the Celeste Cuff (pictured above) due to its elegant as well as intricate design.

Oh baby! Ashanti stepped out in a sexy ensemble by the always fabulous For Love and Lemons brand. Ashanti was all dolled up for her interview with CBS to give deets on her brand new single Scars and the video! Ashani’s fashion statement was a hit with her fans with several IG photos reaching over 30,000 likes. Ashanti is not the only star to rock the couture that is made “for the cool kids.” The clothing and lingerie line, For Love and Lemons has been worn by everyone from Chanel Iman to Joan Smalls.

We loved the Nicholas K Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection that’s inspiration was road tripping through Morocco. We were sold with the cargo pants (so comfortable) and gorgeous shawls but then the collection upped the ante with silk tops, side tied skirts (the 90s are back baby) as well as super cute knee length shorts.

Just in case you forgot about the trends we mentioned last fall, for the next few weeks we will be reviewing the styles that we know you will want to wear this upcoming season! The Kaelen Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection included florals, stripes and everything nice. The collection stuck mostly with a creamy beige, neutral color scheme but deviated with a few print designed pieces in the nautical and botanical realm. This spring you can look stylish by wearing a one neutral color ensemble or punch it up with a print.
