So what all can you expect if you do choose to go see this awesome exhibit? GUESS spilled the deets by stating,

“We’re celebrating denim over the decades at the FIDM Museum x GUESS 35 Years and Still Dreaming Exhibition. Featuring one of a kind pieces from the archives, iconic photos of GUESS Girls past and present and so much more!”

The FIDM Museum were also kind enough to give a few details. FIDM says, “Exciting… GUESS takes over our galleries with their new brand retrospective ’35 Years and Still Dreaming! Open to the public June 6 – July 8.”

Sounds like a fashionably great time. For the big celebration of the opening of the GUESS exhibit, several “It Girls” hit the red carpet. For instance, models Tyrie Rudolph and Shani Marq posed for the cameras. Also, the gorgeous Draya Michele stunned in an GUESS Girl ensemble with the Kora Snake Heel by BDonnas.

Shangani Fashion’s debut presentation during New York Fashion Week conveys contemporary cuts that are accented with vintage accessories. Shangani Fashion designs are a juxtaposition of culture and style. Shangani is an African tribe that lived near the Shangani River in Zimbabwe, Africa. The tribe was named after its founder. Moreover, the name “Shoshangani” means traveler. Therefore, Shangani Fashion is a brand inspired by the experience of travel and the exposure of different cultures.

Creations by Shangani’s Designers merge their travel experiences with colorful ethnic prints and contemporary shapes. Their point of view creates a high fashion, ready-to-wear look. Nevertheless, traditional African fabrics with a modern mix, is the real passion behind Shangani Fashions.

The design duo collaborating on the aesthetics is Fashion Designers Mary Moore and Elesia Peterman. Moore is a graduate of the University of Zimbabwe who enjoys global jets-setting. Moore explains, “My inspirations are fusions of my cultural, travel experiences as well as my Zimbabwean heritage and styles. Shoppers will find divers influences from the Caribbean, European and Middle-Eastern expressions in my fashions. [However] I enjoy mixing various African influences with a contemporary cut and shape for a modernized look. The result is a ready-to-wear brand that is suitable for all occasions.”

“My creative inspiration comes from a fusion of time, epoch periods and cultures, while remaining Afrocentric,” states Elesia Peterman. “I want our line to show that African print transcends. The looks can be worn strictly as traditional wear, but the looks can also be incorporated in business and everyday casual use.

What makes our line unique is that it isn’t just an African meets Western cohesion. Our goal is to reach and inspire a much bigger market. Our line is an international fusion. Also, being a millennial, I feel I can relate with the style trends my peers are excited about. I want to use clothing design as my voice and demonstration of creativity.”

Shangani offers looks for both men and women. Moreover, the brand intends to expand the menswear line for upcoming seasons. The garments are wearable for business casual or as formal wear using materials that certainly last.

Depending on the type of garment design, the brand uses one-hundred percent cotton, applied with Dutch Wax print, denim and other uniquely blended materials of the finest quality. Completing the Afro-inspired look, the Shangani brand also features handcrafted travel handbags and clutch bags. Accessories such as earrings, bracelets and shoes, add a hint of sophistication to an individual’s look.

It was a packed out house but we spotted Danielle Brooks, Camren Bicodova and Kat DeLuna front and center. Brooks killed it in typical Chromat couture. Chromat is known for their edgy, strong and sassy aesthetic. Furthermore, many popular pieces by the label include corseted or cage elements and detailing.

Danielle got into formation for Chromat’s NYFW runway show in a sexy caged dress. Her black and white little number accentuated her gorgeous physique showing off her hourglass figure. The actress finished off her look with lace up thigh high heels.

Christian Siriano is a fashion designer for the people. He saved the day when actress Leslie Jones needed a dress for her biggest movie premiere and no one else would dress her. Also, during Fashion Week he advocated for plus size models. Siriano believes that curves are the way of the future and the rest of the industry needs to get on board. Christian sent several curvaceous models down the runway for his spring collection show.

Moreover, Christian just seems to understand a real woman’s body. He creates designs that look gorgeous on women of all shapes and sizes. Thus proving he can create for one and all and not just a mannequin.

Long live HarRih! Alright, we will cool our heels because this looks to be just an innocent meeting. Prince Harry is visiting Barbados due to the country celebrating fifty years of independence.

Harry also delivered a message from the Queen who unfortunately could not attend. Harry said to all in attendance in behalf of the Queen, “Prince Philip and I send our warmest wishes to the Government and the people of Barbados… Our countries have shared history, shared values and an affection which continues to bind us.”

Besides helping Barbados ring in their freedom, Harry also took part in more humantarian work. He visited sick children at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown. His visit was definitely welcomed and he even received a hug from one of the young patients.

Okay drums please, the moment you have been waiting for has arrived. How did HarRih and the whole Prince Harry Meets Rihanna event come about? As all true fans know Rihanna hails from Barbados which makes sense that she would go home in order to celebrate such a huge historic benchmark.

Rihanna and Harry were both attending Prime Minister Freundel Stuart’s Toast to the Nation when they were seen shaking hands. An extremely happy looking Prince Harry looked ecstatic to meet superstar Rihanna.

Furthermore, we don’t blame Prince Harry at all for being so excited. Rihanna looked glamorous in a low cut blue gown accessorized with gold jewelry. Who knows maybe the pair will become good friends. At the very least we can expect some cool memes to be on the way!

Chi Haircare has just released a new ad campaign featuring one our faves Zendaya Coleman! The campaign aims to help girls to embrace their real individual beauty. As part of the #RealIsBeautiful campaign Zendaya shares her style and beauty tips. Zendaya makes a wonderful spokeswoman for the CHI Haircare brand since she does always keep it 100.

Just how real does Zendaya keep it? Well, in the past she stood up to remarks made in regards to her wearing dreads at a red carpet event. The result? Recanting of statements made and Zendaya heralded in the form of a Barbie doll, dreads and all. Coleman’s outspokenness to be comfortable and confident in your own skin has resonated with young girls the world over.

It is never too early to begin your journey on the road to fashion epicness. As proven by Kanye West’s cutie pie daughter, North West. This week a video of North went viral as she walked along in a parking lot passing by paparazzi uttering, “I said no pictures.”

North may not have wanted the attention but it was hard not to look due to her super stylish ensemble. North is enrolled in dance class that may also lend to her fabulous tutu outfits. However, West has been seen rocking the tutu sometimes accompanied by designer jackets by brands such as Balmain even outside of class. Therefore, it is safe to say that little North enjoys the look and she should because she looks absolutely adorable. For this reason, we present 5 times North West has slayed the tutu.
