AVENGERS…….. ASSEMBLE! We are crying serious Nerdgasmic tears over the official news that Avengers Campus is here and opening at Disneyland Park (California Adventure) in Anaheim, California on June 4th! First of all, if you don’t live in the Golden State do not panic. While currently this new Avengers themed section of the Disney theme park will only be available to California residents due to pandemic safety and concerns; you ARE NOT being left out.
There are plans already in the works to bring the awesomeness of The Avengers to other Disneyland Parks as well. When exactly? Unfortunately, details are still a bit sketch. However at least there are PLANS.
Additionally, as restrictions ease up and things open up safely; more opportunities will pop up for those who “live out of town” and are not residents of California to make their magical pilgrimage to the west coast. Nevertheless, whether you live in Cali or not it’s time to get excited! Allow us to share ALL the details there is to know currently about the campus of the Avengers!

WAKANDA FOREVER!! Move… Or Be Moved Disney Fans!
OMG seriously… just keeping it real, are arms are in a “X” across our chest right now! When we heard that an attraction of this Avenger campus would have a dedicated feature for those that love Black Panther we cried some “Bo$$” tears (Lol). People just don’t understand; most black kids in the past growing up NEVER got to see superheroes who look like them. Never got the chance to feel “super” powerful or have implanted into their young minds that they are smart, ‘of note’ and can do anything while making a real change.
Stan Lee’s Black Panther changed all of that. A billion dollar box office later and children of all tones can now envision themselves in a positive Hero fashion. Thanks Stan.
And now Disney is capturing the movie magic by giving Disneyland visitors the opportunity to train with Wakanda’s elite guards, the Dora Milaje! Yes, you read that right, guests will train with Wakanda’s finest baby!
Also, do not fret. We know you are probably wondering, “But what about Black Panther? Will we get to see him?” The answer is yes! Black Panther will also be apart of these awesome trainings.
Thinking about this, we are sure Chadwick would be proud to see his character still inspiring and entertaining countless children as well as adults. We so wish Boseman could of been here to see this campus come to fruition. But we’re sure he’d be proud of his contribution of bringing the Black Panther character to life and how his portrayal helped unite many.
As T’Challa once said, “Wakanda will no longer watch from the shadows. We can not. We must not. [We’ll] work to be an example of how we, as brothers and sisters on this earth, should treat each other. Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence.
We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe.”
The New Campus Gets Its Spidey On!
If you’re wondering what you will get to see while you’re touring around the campus of the Avengers; get ready to get webbed up! Yes, one cool attraction that you will not want to miss features actor Tom Holland’s character, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man! Parker is always the little guy doing his best to help his neighborhood and friends against all evil; and he does so epically with his ability to web his way to various situations FAST and stop bad guys right in their tracks.
Nevertheless, now YOU are about to get a little taste of Peter Parker’s spidey life. Introducing… Spider-Man: Web Slingers! A spanking new interactive ride to enjoy allowing you to fight bad guys and soak in a Disney moment as you kick it with Parker.
Moreover, do you know what the best part of all of this is? The ride actually features Tom Holland’s real voice! So then, you’ll be able to FULLY immerse yourself in the ride; so it’ll feel like you’re in an Avenger-type situation or movie you guys!
Also, before we move on we have to talk about the Spider-Man animatronic being used on campus. Like… it’s a little scary (LOL)! We are seriously way past the days of Pirates of the Caribbean with various characters slightly moving their arms, legs, head and eyes.
This new Spidey animatronic moves with such fluidity you’ll almost think it’s a real movie stunt double doing the moves instead. Chills roll through as you think of movies like A.I., IRobot and even Terminator. Are these freaking things becoming self-aware or is Disney really just THAT good??
Well, they don’t call it Disney magic for nothing. Even Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Maro gets choked up thinking of the progression of technology; especially in regards to the Spider-Man animatronic. Josh states,
“These are the things that I am most proud of with our Imagineers and our team at large. Walking into the Avengers Campus and seeing Spider-Man, in true form; flinging through the air. Only Disney would do this. It just pulls you immediately into the story.”
Agreed man… agreed brother. So basically, get ready to be really amazed and get your proverbial socks knocked off watching Spider-Man fling through the air at top speed. It’s simply SICK.

Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure – Like Nothing You Have Ever Experienced!
Before we move on to other attractions. We just have to share a few more details about Spidey’s new ride. We are sure after seeing that tweet of the animatronic you are as thrilled as we are about this new Imagineering feat!
This ride is so cool because you’re going to be able to sling webs like you are Spider-Man. Let that sink in as we repeat. WE’RE GOING TO BE SLINGING WEBS PEOPLE like Peter Parker! Yes, count us in expeditiously Mickey!
However, don’t just take our word for how amazing getting on this attraction is going to be. Trust the words of The Walt Disney Company which reveals,
“The all-new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature this iconic Super Hero. Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker in the family-friendly attraction; which blends physical sets and virtual environments to take new recruits on an interactive escapade.
Using innovative technology that’s been adapted specifically for this attraction; guests will team up with Spidey and help capture out-of-control Spider-Bots before they wreak havoc on the Campus. During an open house at WEB, Peter Parker and the aspiring inventors ask guests to wear 3D glasses and test drive their latest invention; the WEB Slinger vehicle, which allows them to sling webs like Spider-Man and experience what it’s like to have super powers.
Disney… Magic… ladies and gentlemen. So make Aunt May proud and help save the campus from some psycho Spider-Bots. Ok?
What About the Other Avengers Like Iron Man, Captain America Thor and Black Widow? Will We See Them on Avengers Campus?
The answer is no. SIKE… Just kidding with ya! We know we hyped up Spider-Man and Black Panther in all of our excitement. HOWEVER… you will get to enjoy seeing ALL the Avengers doing their thing on campus and you’re in for several treats!
Like what? Well, would you fancy to see Iron Man in a brand new suit? We thought you would, check mate (HaHa). Yes, as you go around the Avenger campus be prepared to see Iron Man in new fabulous armor, the Mark 80! And be sure to tell Tony when you see him about the change, “You thought we wouldn’t notice; but we did.”
Furthermore, you’ll also get a chance to run into your other superhero faves and Earth’s mightiest heroes while adventuring around. The Guardians, Black Widow, Ant-Man (more on him in a second), Captain America, The Wasp, Doctor Strange; Thor and Captain Marvel will all be joining in on all the action and fun on campus!
As you can see, there will be a lot to take in and see. From Doctor Strange giving campus guests some training to Pym Test Kitchen; you’re going to be running all through this land and wanting to come back again and again. However, how did this all come about and what is Disney hoping fans will truly experience?
The Avengers Live Action Stunt Show!
Another way fans will be able to see all their favorite superheroes being, well… super; is with the Avengers Live Action Stunts Show! A well choreographed masterpiece which will be held at the Avengers Headquarters where eventually the Avengers Quinjet Experience will be; (scroll towards the end of this article for a full update on the Quinjet attraction)!
As of right now The Quinjet Experience is not in the completion phase, but this doesn’t mean the Avengers show won’t go on. The action packed stunts show will show off our Avengers fighting villains suspense-fully high atop the Avengers Headquarters. At such gut-wrenching heights this show is bound to be exciting and sure to garner some much deserved, audible gasps from the crowd.
Nevertheless, which villains in particular will be apart of this daily thrilling show? Well, one villain the Avengers will have to fend off in front of the crowds is Taskmaster. This is a Marvel character that is slated to make his debut during the standalone Black Widow film.
Anthony “Tony” Masters, aka Taskmaster, is a former American S.H.I.E.L.D. agent turned mercenary and assassin. Due to his photographic reflexes he is able to duplicate almost any physical act he sees after seeing it done by someone else only once. Taskmaster can use this ability to master complex routines. So you can just imagine how a fight would go with him and the Avengers; he’d learn their toughest moves and then turnaround and use it against them!
Furthermore, you already know this stunt show is going to be really bananas because the stunt coordinators worked very closely with the stunt team from the actual Black Widow movie! So Taskmasters copy-cat moves will be effortlessly translated into show form. Therefore, you’re going to want to be in attendance to see the entire stunt-filled presentation go down, from start to finish. However, don’t worry if you miss it at a particular time. This Marvel campus show will have several performance slots throughout the day. So everyone will get to see their fave awesome Avengers.
Moreover, this assembling of Marvel characters is no small feat. Dan Fields, the Executive Creative Director for Disney Parks Live Entertainment agrees by saying: “This is going to be the largest assembly of these heroes anyplace, anytime, anywhere. We really have a place for them to live and work and play and protect and train.”
Film Inspiration, The Vision and that Good Old Walt Magic!
To get the full scoop on this you have to go straight to the Pros at Disney. A few key execs had the Intel we were searching for. Like what’s the vibe or experience Disney is trying to convey in this new section of the park; and will it include the brilliant essence of the Marvel films that we all love?
We’re happy to reveal it will. Scot Drake, the Portfolio Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering reveals,
“When we set out to create these extraordinary Super Hero experiences across the globe; we designed a new Spider-Man attraction for Disney California Adventure park in an immersive land with amazing character experiences. We also crafted an original story that ties all the experiences together in ways that are authentic to these characters. [Additionally] we also worked side by side with teams that brought the Avengers films and comics to life; to create a place that champions the next generation of heroes.”
A new story??! We’re feeling a Peter Tingle (Lol). Nonetheless, Dave Bushore, Vice President of Franchise Creative and Marketing for Marvel Studios also added to Drake’s sentiments. Bushore says,
“Avengers Campus will be a place where fans and guests can finally step into the universe they love, and stand alongside some of their favorite heroes. The optimism inherent in Avengers Campus captures the diversity, power and teamwork these extraordinary characters possess, and now they come together to unite people from all over the world under one guiding principle: We are stronger together.”

Loving the message Disney is trying to send. Unity baby, always here for that. Plus, the Avengers was a decade long wild ride for movie-goers. We watched Cap, Thor, Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye and Iron Man develop into exactly what the universe needed to be saved.
It was full of ups and downs. Yet, so captivating and relatable. You learned to care about each character individually feeling their pains, personality, fails and ultimate triumphs. So then it’s nice to have something physical finally. Something tangible where you can remember all the good times at and feel truly at home with characters you’ve now known for years.
The Walt Disney Company in a statement summed up what being at the Avengers Campus will be like for visitors. They want you to really feel apart of the Avengers family; like you’re one of the recruits Cap and Widow are whipping into shape. They share,
“Avengers Campus brings together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the common good, and they’re calling all recruits to join the action. Guests are invited to team up with the Avengers and their allies; sling webs with Spider-Man, taste-test inventive food and drinks and become part of a bigger universe.”
Moreover, President of Disneyland Resort, Ken Potrock proudly added,
“We are so excited to soon welcome our guests to Avengers Campus, our first land dedicated to Super Heroes. Here, our cast members will unite to help guests of all ages find their super powers and create special memories.”
What About Merch? It’s Not a Disney Trip Without Mementos!
We buy Mickey Ears, Light Sabers, candy and glow in the dark necklaces. Disney is well aware we want and crave merch; to take home and most likely never use again. Because nothing says “I Went to Disneyland” like buying a Pirates of the Caribbean $200 backpack LOLOL.
Well, now you can take that same magical philosophy over to California Adventure. If you’re a merch King or Queen you’re going to want to slide over to the Web Slingers store. So far it’s been announced that cute Funko POP figurines will be up for grabs.
Which characters? Beginning in June (2021) the Avengers fandom will be able to purchase Funko POP Iron Man and Spider-Man. They are so stinking cute and we are already prepared for Disney to take all of our money upon arrival. Nevertheless, we can’t wait to see what other collectibles and merchandise will be released.
Avengers Campus- We Saved the Best for Last… FOOD! Save Room to Get Your Grub On!
Disneyland is known for a number of things. Fun rides, music, entertainment and of course, FOOD! Like Fam, let’s be honest… Disneyland food is seriously bomb! You can’t tell us you don’t look forward to getting your Turkey Legs, Cheeseburgers, Pizza and Salad, Chicken Nuggies, Mickey Head Ice Cream or Bengal Chicken. Don’t lie, you’re thinking about it now Son.
But Disney is about to outdo themselves yet again in food services. Don’t believe? Psssh… **whispers into your ear** “Have you ever tried Shawarma?”
YESSSSS! There is literally going to be a spot for you to drop some money on Shawarma inspired wraps. Disney is bringing the Shawarma Palace; a favorite of the Avengers; to California Adventure. We Stan.
Furthermore, has your crew never tasted Terran before? Don’t worry as far as we know Yondu won’t be threatening to let his men eat you because you’re skinny and good for thieving (lol). However, there will be a food cart perfectly called Terran Treats; which will serve up a wonderful and delectable medley menu of intergalactic treats. You’ll find this cart parked near the Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction.
Avengers Campus- We Saved the Best for Last… FOOD! Save Room to Get Your Grub On!
But hold up, wait a minute Marvel Disney fans there’s still more! Remember when we said we had more to say about Ant-Man? Well, later has come.
If you love Paul Rudd (seriously who doesn’t); and his Marvel character Ant-Man SAVE money and gut room to go dine at Pym Test Kitchen. Like this place is seriously going to be the talk of the Disney Town. It’s such an ingenious idea and so fun, so let loose and just get into it!
We know your mom or granny probably taught you not to play with your food. But at Pym Test Kitchen you’re going to want to break protocol. Here’s why, according to the Walt Disney Company,
“Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp used “Pym Particles” to grow and shrink just about anything; the Pym Test Kitchen featuring Impossible™ Foods applies this innovative science to the food creation. This unbound potential allows Pym Test Kitchen to showcase normal foods at unusual scales; including shareable bites, inventive-sized entrees and tiny treats! Guests will be able to savor foods like the Impossible™ plant-based meatballs; both large and micro and served with pasta in a super-sized spoon with a tiny fork.
Another choice is the “Pym-ini,” a panini on toasted focaccia with meats, cheese and marinara dipping sauce, which can be served by the slice or as a long, multi-portion sandwich. Those will go well with a glass of Pingo Doce, the distinctly green beverage from Avenger lore that will be available at Avengers Campus.”
Isn’t that cool! And that meatball actually looks pretty good too. Also, have you ever seen a pretzel grow from teenie tiny to full size? Well, at Pym’s anything is possible! Look below and see if you notice some “enlarging” Pym tech.
Or if pretzels aren’t your vibe, how about a chicken sandwich? A really, really big chicken sandwich with a shrunk bun. Definitely Scott’s handiwork lol.
Additionally, if you and your friends would like to toast to the Minnie and Daisy good life, you can. There will be a station, Pym Tasting Lab; for adult beverages, so enjoy and drink responsibly. If you wish to indulge just look for the oversized beer can adjacent to the Pym Test Kitchen.
Disney is not missing anything when it comes to Avengers Campus. They clearly understood the assignment and they are straight up delivering to us fans.
The Final Word -Disneyland Really Loves Us 3,000
New rides, attractions and restaurants. This new land seriously had some thought put into it. While some things feel like a straight up money grab; the Avengers Campus actually just feels like a big gift from Marvel and Disney to us, the fans.
If you love the comics, you the love the movies and Stan Lee will always be Bae; then you’re are definitely going to want to make plans to come check this place out. As you could probably tell from reading this article our enthusiasm for this new addition to California Adventure is “super” (pun intended lol) high. Moreover, we hope you have enjoyed our in-depth look at Disney’s vision of the Hero campus.
If you live in California… well good luck lol. We are sure it’s going to be packed with people trying to be the first to experience all the new attractions. Plus, with various restrictions still in place it could prove to be even more difficult. In case you’re not sure of all the precautions you will need to take due to Covid (like being ready for temperature readings before entering); we highly recommend reading up on all them via Disneyland’s website. The park did make this clear online,
“Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming, and remember to not touch your face.
To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid ticket, for the same park on the same date, are required for Guests age 3 and older. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, per state guidelines.
Upon reopening, certain parks, hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings will be modified or unavailable, will have limited capacity and will be subject to limited availability or even closure, and park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.”
So then, plan ahead, be safe and we hope you absolutely love spending time at Avengers Campus!
Update: Here’s What’s Coming During Phase Two!
While we are already reeling from the NERD-TASTIC news of the Avenger Campus finally being ready to receive guests. There is already news of what’s dropping during phase two. What’s coming soon?
A new ride experience which features the Quinjet! Yes, the Avengers official ride, is being turned into a ride. We know you liked what we did there lol.
This new experience will allow guests to step aboard and fly along with the Avengers to enjoy a Wakanda adventure and beyond. Details are still very hush hush but there are rumors swirling that the Avengers Quinjet Experience will put riders right in the battle with “individual controlled seating” and 3-D effects.
Anyway, it looks as though construction is already under way and Disney and Marvel lovers will not have to wait long to experience it. As of right now, plans are for the the Avengers Quinjet Experience to be ready to go during 2022.
Sweet! We don’t know about you guys; but the idea of this ride is giving us vintage Star Tours vibes. But that’s just fine, because as a kid or adult that ride is always just tons of fun. Plus, this new Avengers version steps things up with the inclusion of three dimensional screens. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to more details regarding the Quinjet Experience dropping as campus features and facts keep rolling out; and as soon as we get them we’ll be sure to share!
UPDATE: Will the Avengers Campus Be at Other Disneyland Parks or Resorts?
As we mentioned at the outset there are plans to bring the campus to other Disneylands! Therefore, this looks like it’s going to be a global thing just as Scot Drake the portfolio Creative Director for Imagineering confirmed. However, now it looks as though a few spots are actually being named.
Word on the Disney street is that besides the west coast California Adventure Park; the Avenger Campus will also be placed at Disneyland Paris Park as well as Disneyland Hong Kong. So far the plan is build them all simultaneously with the Marvel Universe serving as inspiration… sort of.
You see, remember in End Game when we learned about parallel universes, timelines? Well, the campus you will get to attend is not in the same “universe” as the films. Things like the “Blip” never happened; so when you step foot on campus you’re experiencing something entirely new.
This is a really cool development as well as theme and since that’s probably where all the new films and TV shows are headed anyway. Nevertheless, just wanted to update you guys on the latest intel and if any other tidbits get tossed our way we’ll be sure to let you know.
