Our lovely Style Ambassador Carlifonia has been sharing her insights on fashion, life and how to be truly confident. Beauty is defined as “the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest). Nevertheless, due to the expanse of what beauty can truly mean from person to person there are numerous viewpoints on how to be beautiful.

Yesterday evening the one and only Queen Bey was spotted walking the streets of New York City in head-to-toe black. She looked chic in an asymmetrical cut-out dress, pointed toe heels and leather jacket. As we mentioned in a post last year wear your jackets like a cardigan to up the style factor. Come on, no diva or fashionista really needs to put her arms through sleeves anymore! That’s like SO 2013 (LOL) we have progressed people! (HaHa).
Let’s move down to the feet area for just a moment. Bey accessorized her ensemble with an ankle bracelet, that was not over-powering but enough to make a delicate statement. Ankle bracelets are trending and be sure to look out for our future post of some of our current favorite styles!
Nevertheless, didn’t we say that Beyonce was getting her MAC on? Well, she definitely was showing why she is a boss lady and say it with us… HUSTLER, by toting a silver Apple Macbook. We are sure that Apple is salivating over these shots as her legions of fans are probably currently burning their PCs in order to make the switch. Okay, you know our humor none of the sort is happening or maybe it’s just cool to see celebrities using the same products that we do!

Singer and DJ Solange Knowles was spotted looking fabulous while walking the streets of SOHO. Solange was in town in order to be in attendance for the NYC Pride and Kiehl’s Since 1851 Celebrate Pride Week 2015 event held in New York City. So then, what was Knowles wearing while taking part in celebrations on June 25th?
In world that believes that as time passes various fashion can fall into the “Oh that was so last season” category. Obviously, Solange did not receive that memo and neither does she care which is why she is a fashion risk-taker! Knowles was looking mellow yellow in an ensemble from the Harbison Fall 2013 collection. A bold move but shows that good fashion can never truly go out of style.
Yellow is a very bold tint but it is a shade that conveys happiness, joy and fun. Knowles has never been afraid to wear this boisterous shade and has rocked on numerous occasions. Just see for yourself and get inspired to give yellow a try!

No we are not talking about that saggy pants look from the gangsta music videos of old. Think wide leg pants and shirts a few sizes too big and then you are more in the ball park. Relaxed comfort is what most women aim for during this season and The Oversized Fit look can help get you there.

The look is already exaggerated so there’s no need to go completely bananas but because it is not the norm you can add some amusing details.
Ever wonder how super-models choose to walk the streets fashion wise? Well, we spotted Joan Smalls in New York City posing it out during a quick photo shoot in Soho. The look was simple but very voguish thanks to sneakers, distressed denim and a white slightly tucked tee. Accessories were kept to a minimum with a chic watch and red fringe handbag.
Beauty Notes: Who says that you can’t or shouldn’t wear a dark lip during summer? Skip the makeup rules of lighter colors only during warmer months and wear a rebellious darker shade. Especially if you are wearing an edgy look like Joan the dark tint will add even more fierceness.
Joan’s look is a nice throwback to 90’s fashion that emerged from the grunge movement. So put on a little Nirvana (google if you must) and you will be sure to gain all the inspiration that you need!

We always love looking into international style because every area or region has an unique flavor. For instance, in London Alesha Dixon was seen arriving at the BBC RADIO 2 studio looking relaxed chic. Dixon wore a white tank, ripped denim pants, gold accessories, ankle boot heels and a killer hat.
As mentioned earlier this week distressed jeans are a simple way to add a little attitude or edge to your look. Keep things tamed by wearing very neutral and conservative pieces along with your emboldened denim. Okay for those you don’t know here is a quick rundown on this super cool couple. They are UK based and Rochelle is the host of several shows including Ninja Warrior Uk, radio co-host on KISS FM and the Xtra Factor, a new spin-off of the wildly popular show The X Factor created by music genius Simon Cowell. Rochelle’s hubby Marvin is a former singer of the male group JLS who back in 2008 came in second overall on X Factor. After the show ended the group was signed to Epic Records and their first two singles both went to number one of the UK Singles Chart. Moreover, their first LP went on to go platinum and as of 2012 JLS’ debut single as well as album has been named one of the X Factor’s top 10 biggest-selling singles and albums.
Now that you are in the know let’s finally talk a little fashion! Rochelle and Marvin were spotted looking fabulous with Marvin in a leather jacket, pants as well as white tee and Rochelle in a chic pinstriped dress. When dressing as a couple it’s best not to wear ensembles that clash or compete with each other. The whole idea is to complement one another so that both fashion looks together seem seamless.
