She had us all wanting to be on top and now she is taking us to Modelland! Yes, Trya Banks Launches Modelland this 2019 to give all the chance to live out their model dreams! How, when, why and where? We got all the answers so just keep reading!

Tyra Banks Launches Modelland Attraction

Okay, so what is this Ty Ty? We are know from ANTM that Tyra is SUPER creative and will be forever one of the iconic faces of the modeling world. Well, the supermodel is taking both of those attributes and marrying them fabulously together. In a press release regarding Modelland we learn,

“Iconic supermodel turned super entrepreneur Tyra Banks announces her biggest venture yet, Modelland. A first-of-its-kind experiential attraction. Modelland will intersect a fantasy version of the modeling world with state-of-the-art interactive entertainment; creative collaborations, curated retail, dining and special events.

The breakthrough new attraction is set to open in late 2019 at Macerich’s Santa Monica Place. The iconic open-air shopping; dining; and entertainment destination just blocks from the beach in Santa Monica. Santa Place is home to Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom, BARNEY’S New York, Tiffany & Co, Rolex and Tory Burch; [and dozens more] shops; restaurants and entertainment experiences.

As the godmother of breaking barriers; Banks continues her mission to bring modeling to the masses; and expand the definition of beauty. Banks first let model-dreamers into the elusive fashion world by creating one of the longest running reality TV franchise; America’s Next Top Model.

With Modelland, Banks creates a new world of storytelling and adventure in a grand, fantastical, physical place. Where all expressions of beauty are celebrated. The multi-level ticketed experience invites all visitors to redefine what a model really is; and for people to be the dream versions of themselves. As one can see, sounds like this is going to be the Disneyland of the fashion and modeling realm! Nevertheless, why is Tyra bringing this attraction to the world; and what kind of work did she put into it? Banks explains,

“Modelland has been 10 intense years in the making. It has been my ultimate dream and I have worked tirelessly with laser-focused tunnel vision to bring to fruition. Modelland will awaken your childlike glee by entertaining; and educating in unexpected ways that will make learning about oneself fierce and fun.

Modelland is all about celebrating your flawsome self. We are fun. We are fierce; are fantasy. And, [also] we are for real.”

Expect Modelland later this year; so far we are seeing that it will be “late” 2019. Also, Modelland will be 21,000 sq. ft of fun; and right smack against high traffic, infamous Third Street Promenade. We all love seeing what black celebrity kids are up to as much as their famous parents. These kids literally have the world as their oysters. What will they choose to pursue? Maybe a career in acting, singing or perhaps directing? Some celebrity kids show early on where they are heading in the future. If it was up to us to predict we think P. Diddy’s little girls may just be the next Naomi or Tyra.

First of all, can these pint-size ladies get any cuter? P. Diddy’s daughters served up some major adorableness as they starred in an ad campaign for their father’s couture brand, Sean John. The girls wear high-end streetwear that includes hoodies, sweatpants and shirt dress.

Did model Kim Porter give them pointers on how to slay? Maybe, but there also looks to be plenty of raw natural too. Diddy excitedly took to social media posting a photo of his daughters with the caption, “My babies! #FamilyFirst.”

Hair Notes: We loved the hairstyling spotted in the ad campaign that was fierce while being very age appropriate. Heck, we would totally rock their super chic hair looks! Thanks to social media outlets such as Instagram and Facebook you may find your likeness popping up all over the place. This year take the stress out of taking pictures and learn how to strike a pose!

Celebrities know the tricks on how to take great pictures on the red carpet or at any big event. Follow our simple tips and you too will be the shining star in photos. Remember, practice makes perfect so rehearse a few moves and you’ll snap pictures like a Hollywood starlet.

Strike a Pose 101

Rule #1: Never stand with your shoulders facing squarely to the camera.

Rule #2: Keep your body at an angle with your head up and chin down. Putting your hand on your hip can also give your body form.

Rule #3: Always look right into the camera.

How to Take a Great Photo

Alright ladies we have all summer to get you prepped for next school year’s picture day or if you just want to look fierce in your summer selfies and pics with friends you are going to want to keep reading! Some find great anxiety in taking photos whether for a very specific reason or just for kicks. However, there are a few things you can do to look more flawless.

1. Dress Accordingly– It can feel like one big fashion show on Instagram and Tumblr, but remember it is about you and not everyone else. Wear clothes that fit well and that are not too busy. That loud geometric print ensemble may look a little messy in a photo, remember that less can be more and streamline.

2. Check Yo’ Self– You would not believe how many times that hair can mess up an otherwise “perfect” photo. Always look yourself over or have a trusted friend check you out and fix accordingly.

3. Stay Up– Avoid the dreaded double chin look in photos by keeping your head up.

4. Beat the Jitters– If you tend to get nervous and look like a deer in the headlights try thinking happy thoughts. More specifically, before the photo is snapped look away for a second and think of something really funny then look back at the camera and smile.

5. Fake an Overcast– Did you know that when it is overcast outside it is actually an ideal time to take a photo? Well, now that summer is upon us you can still fake these ideal conditions by setting your camera’s flash in sunlight mode. Doing so, will actually help to even out skin tone.

6. Work Those Angles– Take a clue from celebrities who walk the red carpet, for the most part they NEVER face the camera straight on. Create a long diagonal line and ultimately slimming effect by placing one leg out in front and pivoting your body slightly to the side. Place one hand your hips and you have struck one of the most famous Hollywood poses!
