Therefore, if you want this one you may have to scour the net a little to see if there are any smaller online shops with it. When it was available at UO it retailed for $19; therefore, we presume you will be able to get one for around that price point; if you locate one.

Make way for the forever First Lady! Netflix Becoming will be dropping THIS MONTH and will detail an in-depth look on how Michelle Obama metamorphosed into the jewel of a woman she is now! Therefore, when does it air? Plus, what can viewers expect to see?
Becoming is a brilliant film based on Obama’s 2018 New York Times Best-Seller memoir which bares the exact title. Back in 2018 Michelle’s book sold off the shelves faster than one could say, “The Most Educated First Lady in History.” The memoir went on to sell 10 million copies and still stands as the bestselling hardcover book of 2018.
With that type of interest; there is no wonder that Netflix jumped at the opportunity to release a documentary. The Becoming film which premieres on May 6, stunningly captures the high points yet painful as well as distressing moments of prejudice and scrutiny that this impressive; powerful woman has unfortunately had to endure. Moments that no human should ever experience regardless of their background.

During this difficult time [due to Covid-19], I hope you’ll find some inspiration and joy in this film.”
As one can see, Michelle’s 34-city book tour had a profound effect not just on Obama, but others as well. Many were touched, moved by her story and now we are all able to tune into the journey. Nonetheless, what does Netflix have to say about the new film? Anymore details to be gleaned?
Well, to be honest Netflix is keeping things short and to the point. Perhaps in order not to give too much away. The streaming service reveals,

Becoming is sure to be an amazing feature to watch and enjoy over and over! A motivating piece of work that is sure to fuel others to go out and be an even greater version of themselves!

The Royal family member worked with the likes of Peter Lindbergh, Grace Coddington; Michelle Obama, Jacinda Ardern and of course, Editor-In-Chief Edward Enninful. All in order to bring one of the biggest issues of the year for any magazine, including British Vogue, to life.
How did this all come about? The Duchess took a chance. After barely meeting Edward, yet still connecting with him over a number of issues. Meghan decided to take a risk and just ask if Enninful would consider as a guest editor.
She sent the text. Not a first…deleted it… but ultimately did. The result? A positive answer from Edward and a guest edition position which would begin in January of 2019. Proving that if you truly want something to happen; sometimes you have to just take a leap. A lesson for us all!

As one can see, while at the White House, the Obamas were kept extremely busy with various engagements. Nevertheless, what about now? Has things eased up? On how much rest she is able to get now, Michelle states,
“Thankfully, more (and it’s more regular). I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity that living in the White House afforded us; but it probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone that sometimes it was a real challenge to keep up with the pace.
We’d be launching an initiative, or crisscrossing the country for campaign events; or visiting a community that was hurting from a tornado or a senseless shooting –sometimes all in a two-or-three-day span. Then, on top of the demands of our schedules, I’d usually need to wake up long before Barack to get my hair and makeup done and dress for a public event.
I laugh about how easy it was for Barack to choose his wardrobe –tie or no tie? ‘What do you think, honey, should I roll up my sleeves?’ These days, I’m more in control of my time.”

The Obamas Official Portrait Unveiling for The National Portrait Gallery
The Obamas Official Portrait Unveiling was a black history month moment that none are soon to forget. Masses of onlookers turned out to see the stunning creations of artists, Amy Sherald and Kehinde Wiley. Both artists were personally hand-picked by Barack and Michelle Obama in order to capture their likeness. The resulting paintings were unveiled during a ceremony held at the Smithsonian.

The Obamas both shared touching expressions in regards to not only their works of art; but also, the historic legacy behind them. Here is a snippet of what they said:
“As a young girl, even in my wildest dreams, I never could have imagined this moment. Nobody in my family has ever had a portrait. There are no portraits of the Robinsons or the Shields from the South Side of Chicago.
This is all a little bit overwhelming, especially when I thing about all of the young people who will visit the National Portrait Gallery and see this. Including so many young girls and young girls of color who don’t often see their images displayed in beautiful and iconic ways.
I am so proud to help make that kind of history. But the fact is that none of this would be possible without the extraordinary artist; and woman behind this portrait, Amy Sherald. Thanks you Amy. It was a joy to work with you and get to know you.”

T Magazine is the The New York Times revolutionary style magazine. For their latest edition they are showing off Michelle like we have never seen her before! Obama serves up major face and at first glance you think, “Naomi?”
Michelle’s lovely bone structure is front and center for the cover as well as the accompanying editorial. Michelle is apart of T magazine’s “Greats” edition. The issue also features stories on Lady Gaga, Junya Watanabe, Kerry James Marshall, Massimo Bottura, Zadie Smith and William Eggleston.
