Nothing brings out the celebrities like a good party and fashion show! We spotted several fashionable starlets at the 2015 amFAR Inspiration Gala Fashion Show held in New York. What seemed to be the fashion statements of the big night? Sparkle, stripes, florals and slightly sheer details were the couture highlights. Here are few red carpet looks ranging from R&b/Pop singers to world renown supermodels!
Beauty Quickie: There is a very good reason your mother told you to keep you hands off your face. By constantly touching your face you will possibly not only smudge your makeup but the dirt and oils from your hands will transfer to your face causing your makeup not to last as long. Remember, oil breaks down cosmetics so it is best to try to keep oil at bay as much as possible.
Forget the whole beauty notion that summer makeup can’t include darker shades of color or can’t showcase some extra drama. Yes, the lighter beauty colors normally made available during the spring and summer seasons can be fun to play with, however, that does not mean you must leave out darker shades from your makeup looks. Dark lips are definitely in and even during spring/summer runway shows dramatic cat-eye makeup was all the rage. Modernize the look by allowing your upper eyelid line to float instead of traditionally just framing or following the lash line. During the Atelier Versace runway show model’s cat-eye makeup included liner being drawn along the crease.
Be a dancing queen or solid gold Soul Train dancer this summer because the 70’s are back baby! If you have laid fashion eyes on the ad campaign for the S/S 2015 Emilio Pucci collection you no doubt observed the ad’s 70’s vibe. Not quite sure how to make the retro look work for you? Think boho-chic and a very free-spirited relaxed styling of your ensembles. Moreover, a quick look at the Emilio Pucci runway show should help get you started.
Hair Notes: The slight waves worn by models is giving us life baby! The easy, breezing and bouncy hairdo is the perfect hairstyle for this summer whether day or night.
Hair is just as important as fashion itself, for it can make or break an outfit. Here are a few of the styles we spotted last night during the arrivals for the 2015 Met Ball.
Rihanna
RiRi Rocks a bold hair accessory which was a major trend seen throughout the night!
Beyonce
Queen Bey wore a super high ponytail accented with blonde only in the front and tail.
FKA Twigs
Who says buns are no fun? Try this edgy one and you’ll be sure to get noticed!
Alicia Keys
FKA Twigs wasn’t the only one with a high bun, Alicia’s included the braid trend.
Zoe Kravitz
Speaking of braids, Zoe is still rocking them and looking chic.

Celebrities always aim to bring their “A” game for The Met Ball, one of the biggest fashion events of the year. The theme for this year’s gala was “China: Through The Looking Glass.” Starlets and gentlemen arrived to showcase their take and perspective on the night’s theme through their own personal style. Color seemed to be a the way to go and we noticed purple and blues were repeatedly spotted.
