Who doesn’t like a stunning, smoldering beauty look? For his spring 2015 show Zac Posen’s models rocked a very bold red lip. Want to know how to create this look at home? Makeup artists for the show first filled in lips with lip liner and then layered on lipstick so that the color imbued the lips making them pop.

Spring makeup should be fresh, light and showcase your natural beauty. For the Derek Lam runway show for spring 2015 model’s peepers were adorned with a mauve smudged eye look that was created using lipstick and eyeliner. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux used Violetta (M.A.C. lip shade) and brown eyeliner to highlight the eyes.
Here at the office we were kind of torn with this look. Half loved it and the other half loved it too, but felt the look could not be translated for the streets. Is this a look only for the runways never to be repeated in day to day life?
Orlando Pita who styled the model’s hair for the Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 show said the look caused the girls to feel absolutely beautiful. Isn’t that how great hair SHOULD make you feel? Okay, so a point goes to the look itself, but how did Oliver create this style? Pita slipped on a polka veil after first pulling the model’s tresses into a low ponytail. He then secured the look by tying a thick ribbon at the top, fashioning it into a chic cute bow. Oliver said regarding the look, “I’m dressing up the ponytail to give it a couture feel.”
This look brings the drama so of course could not be worn for just any occasion. Nonetheless, a night out on the town or for a fashionable event and this would be a very stylish option. So then, it’s time for you to way in is this hairstyle a do or a don’t?

Having a vixen physique, you know the 36-24-36 types hip hop artists and rock stars have been crooning about for decades will never be a bad thing. Nevertheless, being shaped like Jessica Rabbit can be a challenge when wearing certain styles. Most of us do not want to look bigger than our natural size, so then how can stripes be rocked without adding girth to the hip area?
The key is which way the stripes are flowing on the garment, skirt or dress. Look slimmer by wearing pieces that have diagonal or vertical stripes. Instead of seeing lines that emphasis the widest part of your body, stripes that do not run horizontally will create an elongating effect.

Fashion Notes: We couldn’t help ourselves we just had to share a quick tip! Don’t be afraid to let your fashions shine this spring/summer and we do mean literally. Shiny couture made with iridescent materials, plastic accessories (think Barbie) are a huge trend. Keep the look understated and streamlined by staying in the same color family or limiting yourself to no more than 3 tints.
