Singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock was spotted looking rather chic as she arrived at the BBC Radio Studio on June 15, 2015. Leigh-Anne is a member of the English girl group Little Mix who were formerly known as Rhyhmix. The group was formed back in 2011 and consists of four girls: Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson. If you are looking for an American comparison think along the lines of Danity Kane.
We loved the blue jumpsuit that Pinnock wore during her outing, especially since it was belted which is great for defining the waist. Moreover, her hair was also just as divine. Leigh-Anne’s high topknot was just as effortlessly cool as her ensemble.

“Wow I absolutely love the bumpy pimple look!” Said literally no woman ever…acne can seem to spring up over night and without warning. Oh and if it was only a problem that could be found on our faces. Blemishes can reveal themselves also in the neck, chest and back regions to name a few. Therefore, is there anything that can be done to control acne naturally?
You could hit the beauty aisle but the products and skin medications you find there may contain chemicals that have the ability to diminish pimples, but many women find them to be excessively drying. Or such products could be too strong for sensitive skin causing irritation. Simply replace those options with a little known natural ingredient…witch hazel. All you have to do is rub witch hazel on your back, face, chest or neck to help prevent acne.

Tis’ the season of travel and je-tsetter Rihanna is no different. The B*tch Better Have My Money starlet was seen walking through LAX airport in Los Angeles, California yesterday on June 14, 2o15. RiRi wore camouflage pants, graphic tee, an over-sized leather jacket as well as bag with a hat and shades. It is rumored that Rihanna was headed out of town after enjoying a dinner date with Karim Benzema.
Hair Notes: It looks like Rihanna is still enjoying being a redhead, a hair look that popped back up around Coachella. Nonetheless, if you are planning to travel quite a distance by plane a hat is an excellent accessory to help “tame the beast” so to speak. No matter how you sleep or rest your tired pretty little head you will not have to worry if your hair looks alright allowing you to travel with less stress.

Beauty Answer: It is true that there are makeup removers that contain pollutants that can be quite harmful to your skin. Therefore, a natural method would be wise to keep skin safe and healthy. Olive oil is an Eco-friendly product that can be used to remove cosmetics. Scared that olive oil will fail to remove “tougher” makeup products? Have no fear because olive oil can remove lipstick, eye liner and even mascara which we all know can be a toughie at times.
“One doesn’t want fashion to look ridiculous, silly, or out of step with the times- but you do want designers that make you thinkt, hat make you look at fashion differently. That’s how fashion changes. If it doesn’t change, it’s not looking forward. And that’s important to me.”

One question I’ve been asked numerous times is how I grew my hair down my back and how long did it take. Well, to be completely honest it has been different every single time. I have taken my hair out several times in different ways (more on that in my next post).
Nevertheless, the methods I used all seemed to yield great results so I will briefly share them with you.
I have employed “going natural,” hair straightening, vitamins and even wearing wigs. When I went natural I basically just worked with my hair’s natural curl pattern.
This was tough because I wasn’t quite sure which products to utilize because previously the flat iron or pressing comb had always been a girl’s best friend. Products that proved to be a lifesaver were:
non-alcohol hair gel/pomade
leave-in conditioner
hair oil
sulfate free shampoo and conditioners
mayonnaise (for deep conditioning)
hair ties and foil
Every time I cleansed my strands I would always follow up with a leave-in conditioner and hair oil. The conditioner gave my locks vital nutrients and moisture while the hair oil would literally lock it all in, basically sealing in all of the good stuff.
One of my favorite conditioners that I have used for years is by Mane and Tail. Many shy away from their products because Mane and Tail is actually used on animals such as horses to keep their mane looking pristine. Now I’ve seen some horses with hair I’d love to detach and place upon my head, so what’s good for the goose is good for the gander!
Moreover, my natural hair tends to be quite unruly, so to keep it in line I would apply a hair gel or pomade. Braids also helped to achieve wavy hairstyles as well as foil rollers.
In another post, I promise to show not only how to make the roller, but an easy hairstyle to achieve with it as well.
Another method I used was simply straightening my hair every two weeks.
I would also apply a hair mask after cleansing my hair and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Daily maintenance would include wrapping my hair up with a satin scarf at night not only to reduce friction created while at rest but also to help give my hair a slight bend so that using a curler would be unnecessary.
Also, every day in the morning after combing my hair I would apply a very light hair oil to keep my locks strong. One thing I will stress is that keeping heat to a minimum has always helped my hair to grow faster. I know that may not be the case for everyone, but that is definitely something that helps give my growth cycle a boost.
When it comes to vitamins, I have taken Biotin as well as B vitamins and received great results. To this day I like to take Women’s One A Day multi-vitamin which includes all the vitamins you need for healthy hair, skin and nails.
Lastly, as mentioned I have employed wigs to grow out my hair. I prefer wigs where all of my hair is safely resting underneath; however, half wigs look way more natural so for appearance sake I opt for half wigs or wigs with a movable part.
Out of all methods used my hair grew the fastest using the wig method, it literally only took about 5 months for my hair to go from above my shoulders to down my back. In a future post I will focus specifically on the wig method and tell how I did it.

Hugo Boss is heating up the summer with their ad campaign featuring one of the fashion industry’s newest it girls, Binx Walton. Walton shares the fashion stage with fellow model, Lexi Boling as the two pose in a desert atmosphere. Being a movie a nerd I immediately thought Star Wars meets 2015, but the couture brought me back down to reality.
As cool as it would be to see the princess shooting troopers in Hugo Boss I enjoyed the overall feel of the campaign as it was actually intended. The collection has a very nice color palette of white, cream and even a airy light blue. Belted skirts and dresses with relaxed slouchy pants make chic comfort easily attainable. This collection is perfect for the lady on-the-go who wants to look tailored without being overly stuffy. The campaign was styled by Tom Van Dorpe and lensed by Pierre Debusschere.
It looks like the guys wanted in on the Hugo Boss action too!

“Fashion is an industry to make money. It plays into human psychology. We want to belong, we want to be loved. I’m not trying to demonize the fashion industry- I love the fashion industry- but style is about taking the control out of the industry’s hand and having you decide what works for you.”

As more and more women are celebrating as well as embracing their shapes and physiques, retailers are answering the call to provide fashionable couture for more than those that fall within the size 2 category. Fashion retailer Torrid made it clear that for the summer season they want women to feel amazing and confident with their bodies. The CEO of Torrid explained,
“We change lives, we see that everyday. We see tears in our dressing rooms when girls realize they too can look beautiful and sexy in a swimsuit. We’re empowering them to join the movement — wear swimsuits with confidence, real cover girl style.”
Any woman young or old can testify that swim wear shopping can be quite intimidating. Thoughts of fluffy mid-sections, muffin-top, boob spillage, thunder thighs and even cottage cheese legs make wearing little to nothing seem worse than jumping out of a plane. Moreover, it seems that some designers do not want to cater to bodies that do not resemble a clothes hanger. How is Torrid changing the game when it comes to bathing suits? Torrid’s Senior Vice President of Design says of their summer collection,
“This collection is the culmination of two years of building and perfecting the best swimsuits I have ever seen or have had the pleasure to wear. These suits are fun and young and without compromise. They’re the kind of suits that, when wearing them, you find a confidence in yourself you never thought you’d have in a swimsuit.”
All that time designing swim wear was well worth it by the look of things. The collection is vibrant and the ad campaign showing them off is simply gorgeous. Torrid’s swim wear collection for summer 2015 is available now is covers sizes 12-28.
