“Lord of the far horizons, give us the eyes to see over the verge of the sundown the beauty that is to be.”

If we are going to develop whip lash it might as well be in the name of beauty. Can you imagine what you could see after 100 years have passed? No doubt fashions and styles would have changed numerous times as well as trends. Cut.com’s new video, “100 Years of Beauty: Marshay” is a time lapse film featuring popular black female hairstyles and beauty looks spanning from 1910 to 2010. Director Michael Gaston and editor Blaine Ludy revealed that the 59-second video took three completely separate shoots to complete. This video is fitting with Black History month being just around the corner so it’s cool to see a quick review of our striking appearance. Let’s continue to let our intelligence, sophistication as well as beauty continue to shine brightly for the next 100 years and beyond.
1. Never touch your face, doing so can lead to break outs.
2. Always wash and moisturize your face in an upward motion to help minimize sagging skin in the future.
3. Do not “pop” or squeeze pimples in order not to cause a tiny pit or scar.
4. The easiest way to freshen up makeup during the day is to blot oily areas (nose, forehead & chin) with a tissue then apply a thin layer of foundation.
5. Women of color DO need to protect their skin from harmful elements such as the sun. Be sure to choose a SPF formulated moisturizer to keep skin healthy.
Beauty Quickie: If you are prone to develop dark eye circles it is best to avoid using mascara on your lower lashes. Applying mascara on the lower lashes can cast a shadow causing the area under your eyes to look even darker.

Alright, alright, alright, alrighttttttt! Major props and accolades for the Oliver Spencer Fall/Winter 2015 Collection. The couture found in this runway show is relaxed chic at its finest. From the use of fabrics including lambswool and cashmere to the slightly over-sized fits everything looked tailored yet unrestrained. The looks are for the guy who’s confident, collected and nonchalant. We loved the bold suits, bomber jackets as well as cropped trousers. Wonderful fashions from start to finish and congratulations on an amazing show!
London has been set ablaze with fiery hot menswear fashion shows. Besides all of the male eye candy the couture is getting us just as warm under our stylish collars. The Nasir Mazhar Autumn/Winter 2015 collection gave us a slight late 90’s vibe when hip hop artists were wearing those puffed up, shiny ensembles. If you don’t remember or were not alive slide on over to google and look up Diddy as well as Mase then get back to us. The fashions were very bold and in your face, so if your man loves to be seen he will love this collection. One of our favorite pieces from the collection were a pair of green and black sporty looking pants. They looked comfy but had really neat panel detailing that gave them a cool flair.
