Hair that looks very ‘no fuss’ and ‘I literally just rolled out of the sack’ is trending for winter 2014. One of our favorites is slightly wavy locks that have a bohemian feel to them. This look as seen on supermodel, Joan Smalls, was spotted during runway shows for Chloe, Gucci and Burberry.

Benefits of Argan Oil Part Two
If you haven’t had a chance to read our previous post on how Argan oil can help you grow your hair you will definitely want to go back and check it out. We listed several benefits of Argan oil and why exactly its great for your tresses. In this part of this little hair mini series we will show you how easy it is to make your own Argan oil hair mask at home. It’s so easy even a cave woman could do it…
First, here is a very short shopping list of ingredients that you will need in order to make the mask:
- Argan Oil (4 tsp)
- Honey (2 tsp)
- Peppermint Essential Oil (3 drops)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (2 tsp)
- Epsom Salt ( 2 tsp)
- Coconut Oil (4 tsp)
Okay, now that you have all the ingredients it is time to create the mask. As you noticed next to each item we listed how much of each ingredient you would need to complete the mask. In a small bottle combine all of the ingredients and then shake vigorously to blend them together. Run hot water from a facet and place bottle under the spout for 20 seconds to encourage the ingredients to blend even more.
When you are ready to apply your homemade product focus placing the bottled oil on your roots as well as ends. Wrap hair in saran wrap or place in a plastic shower cap and allow the oil to sit on the hair for half an hour. Once 30 minutes is up, rinse hair thoroughly and the process is complete.
Did You Know?.. Peppermint Essential oil increases oxygen, improves blood circulation and stimulates hair follicles to grow.
Benefits of Argan Oil Part One
Hair is often referred to as being a woman’s crown of beauty. However, as many can testify, growing hair is not always as simple as clicking your red ruby shoes together. There is no magical Wiz waiting at the end of a golden road that can grant you a great head of hair. Only excellent maintenance and attention to haircare will give you longer and voluminous hair that you crave.
In recent years Argan oil has been praised for its many benefits, especially when it comes to hair growth. Here are just a few to consider:
- Contains properties that can help repair split ends
- Rich with Vitamin E which encourages hair growth
- Has fatty acids and nutrients that can strengthen and nourish hair as well as skin
Hair growth results when the scalp as well as ends of locks are well taken of and protected. Perform this powerful combination on your strands by incorporating the use of argan and you will see results. Are you a fan of all natural products when it comes to haircare? Excellent, so are we! What Dieting Can Do to Your Hair
We are surrounded with imagery of women who walk red carpets, runways or grace our television sets with perfect hair, makeup and physiques. To come as close as possible to this ideal look many women will take part in various fad diets. How safe are such diets when it comes to having healthy tresses?
In this article we will briefly explore the effects of low fat dieting. When it comes to having gorgeous hair eating properly is everything, what you eat will definitely reflect in the health of your locks. Hair is made up of keratin which is protein and being deficient in protein can lead to weaker locks as well as hair thinning. Opt for a protein rich diet including foods such as yogurt, eggs and fish. A diet rich in protein can result in hair becoming longer and thicker.
Did you know?…Soy protein found in tofu has been found to help encourage hair growth. What are your hair growth secrets? Feel free to join the discussion on our social media platforms.
Hair of the Week: Zendaya Coleman at AMAs 2014
Zendaya Coleman came to yesterday’s American Music Awards with her mane as the main attraction! Coleman’s voluminous sassy waves were a very fresh look for the singer. We are used to seeing Zendaya with super sleek locks so this change was differently a transformation which we absolutely loved.
Zendaya’s hair for days waves is our Hair of the Week pick…do you agree?
What is Balayage?
Balayage is a hair coloring technique that Tinseltown starlets as well as runway superstars are swearing by in order to look flawless. Have you ever noticed someone with highlights that looked harsh and unnatural? Balayage hair color gives tresses a more natural sun-kissed look and therefore lessens any regrowth lines.
Balayage is derived from a french word meaning to “sweep” or “paint.” So then, hair color is swept softly at the roots with the highlight becoming thicker towards the ends. This technique is known more as a “free-hand” technique since no meche or foils are used during the highlighting process.
2014 Winter Hair Trend: The Blonde Crop
Yesterday we posted a little hair inspiration for anyone considering or needing some fresh short hair ideas. Today, we are taking things one little step further by showcasing a winter hair trend that is bold, modern and just plain sizzling! The blonde crop is trending this season and can be worn on natural tresses as well.
This style is not for any conservative types due to the boisterous, edgy color. Moreover, a warning to those of you who may be worried about how much maintenance may be involved with this look. Blonde hair requires regular touch-ups and maintenance in order to keep the shade bright and luxurious. If not taken care of properly the color will come to look dull which will definitely take away from the hairstyle.

Make the Cut: Short Hair Inspiration
Beautiful hair comes in all grades, styles as well as lengths. If you are into the big snip or are even thinking about it a little inspiration could help you give the look a try. However, one tip is to not get into the mindset that just because it’s less hair you will have less work to do. Some short hairstyles take as much maintenance as longer hairdos. So then, if you are a low maintenance girl you may not want to indulge in a style that will involve a lot of up keep. Opt for shorter styles that will allow you to wrap and go in the mornings.
