Change Your Toothbrush Regularly For Good Oral Health
If you have a “Crest Kid” smile and want to keep it long after your teenage years are gone, then it is very important to change your toothbrush on a regular basis. Using a good toothbrush is a key factor for good oral health. Toothbrushes that are in good shape keep your smile beautiful and your breath fresh. However, if you neglect your oral health it can eventually lead to problems with your physical health.
Therefore, it is recommended that your toothbrush be changed at least every three months whether the toothbrush is electric or manual. If the bristles look worn down before the three months are up then go ahead and get a new one, you don’t have to wait. Nevertheless, of course if your dentist tells you to change your toothbrush, do it! So take care of your toothbrush and your toothbrush will take care of you.
Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Collection
In lieu of the Hello Kitty Con here in Los Angeles, California, we decided to do a quick makeup inspired post based on one of the cutest young girls of the anime world. Like many others we gasped when we found out that Hello Kitty was a little girl not a…well, kitten. This season now you will be able to wear cosmetics littered with the brand’s adorable character. The Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Collection is available now exclusively at Sephora but only for a limited time.
Beauty Insider: Be Matchy-Matchy
Makeup and your ensemble should be like peas and carrots…they should complement each other, not compete with each other. Therefore, how does the matchy-matchy beauty look work? Whatever your OOTD (outfit of the day) is you simply wear colors that are exact matches or come very close. Choose a color from your outfit then utilize it on your lips or maybe to play up your eyes.
What if you are wearing a piece that is multi-colored or has a print? Does this mean it is time to become one with the Care Bears rainbow? Makeup should always be fun, but a more streamlined look will truly work best. Choose one of the colors that are not as pronounced and draw it out with your makeup for a dramatic effect.
Over the years the match makeup look has been seen during runway shows for fashion houses such as Fendi and by style-riskers Rihanna and Kerry Washington. Here are a few more celebrity looks to help get you in the match making mood.

Rihanna is up to bat again, but notice that her orange lip is not exact, its a darker shade of orange but still complements
Tyra Banks plays up her eyes with a smoky eyeshadow that matches her dark ensemble

Should I Skip Moisturizer Since I Have Oily Skin?
Beauty Quickie: Not only should you not skip it, but most likely you are only making the problem worse. The upside to having oily skin is that dermatologists rave that more than likely you will not develop many wrinkles, but shining like the crowning jewels is what’s the main issue. It has been a common belief amongst women that skin needs to be “dried out” in order to reduce the amount of oil that is created on your face. Wrong, wrong and more wrong. When you deprive your skin of moisture the skin produces even more oil to compensate. As tempting as it may be to make your face more “oil-free” avoid skipping moisturizers because the more your skin loses moisture the more moisture it will create.
Late Night Beauty Call: Ciara
We are dialing on the keypad to get a hold of…Ciara! She can sing, she can her dance her butt off and oh yeah, she has model good looks as well. Ciara was definitely born to be a star.
The fabulous new mommy has her fit little body back and has been sporting some amazing couture style. Nevertheless, this call is strictly beauty related so let’s talk makeup. We think Ciara pulls off the natural face look extremely well. With that bone structure and smile you really don’t need much. However, we love when starlets mix it up, so Ciara’s red lip look definitely caught our attention. A bold look that was showcased well thanks to the rest of her makeup being more muted.

What are Sulfates?
Hair Quickie: Sulfates can be found in products such as shampoo or conditioner and are designed to help remove dirt and oil. The removal of such of debris is a good thing, but as mama always said, “Too much of a good thing can be bad.” Using products with sulfates too often can lead to your hair being stripped, not good especially if you are trying to grow out your mane. Limiting sulfate products and using sulfate-free products instead is the best defense against this harmful hair offense. If possible, try to use sulfate products once a month.
