Oh yeah, and having the honor of sporting the VS fantasy bra down the catwalk during said broadcast. Now the supermodel is already starting the new year with a bang. Jasmine Tookes will be featured in the ELLE USA January 2017 edition. Back in the day fashion lovers would say that a model should be able to sport a potato sack and still look fabulous. Well, Jasmine is rocking just a bag so in our book that is pretty darn close to that level of fab perfection.

In the 28 Stories feature Tookes literally takes the expression “go big or go home” to new heights. Think glowing, luminous skin accompanied by humongous accessories. Big hair, big earrings and one big ole handbag. Genius! Her supersize linked earrings are by designer, Sonia Boyajian. Also, that fabulous orange bag which is the new black is from high-end brand, Balenciaga.

The entire ELLE January 2017 issue was shot by Terry Tsiolis. In addition to makeup by Frankie Boyd, styling by Samira Nasr and Paul Cavaco with hair by Romina Manenti. Furthermore, the 28 Stories editorial also includes several other amazing shots with Selah Marley, model Alecia Morais as well as the talented Coleman Collective. Keke Palmer already made hair and style headlines this week thanks to her chic NYC street style. Did you see her killing the hair game with red braids and DKNY apparel? Baby it’s cold outside, so let Keke Palmer warm things up a bit for you! The Keke Palmer Stars in Galore x Missguided Editorial gives new meaning to the expression Lady in Red. From crop tops to floor length gowns Palmer wears them all. Also, you will be happy to know that the red hair is still alive and well.

Furthermore, we also got a kick out of the additional artistic element. The photos incorporate cutesy graffiti backgrounds that includes hearts, wings, bubble words, crowns, kisses and stars. It reminded us of being in class doodling on our notebooks and yearbooks. The art for the editorial was created by Kayla Soler. T Magazine is the The New York Times revolutionary style magazine. For their latest edition they are showing off Michelle like we have never seen her before! Obama serves up major face and at first glance you think, “Naomi?”

Michelle’s lovely bone structure is front and center for the cover as well as the accompanying editorial. Michelle is apart of T magazine’s “Greats” edition. The issue also features stories on Lady Gaga, Junya Watanabe, Kerry James Marshall, Massimo Bottura, Zadie Smith and William Eggleston. The “Greats” will be available on newsstands inside the NY Times beginning on Sunday, October 23.

The issue also includes some nice thank you letters to Michelle. Jon Meacham wrote, “Mrs. Obama, a clear-eyed lawyer, found a way to withstand the scrutiny of the spotlight… To borrow a phrase from William Faulkner, she not only endured it; she prevailed over it.”

If we had to guess which celebrity would probably survive if the world came to an end Rihanna would be high on the list. She has mastered the art of truly being herself in an industry full of fabrication. Plus, she has overcome negativity and past lukewarm sales to become one of the biggest artists of all time!

She is deemed a fashion icon and has even surpassed MJ on the charts when it comes to number ones. If she can achieve being one of the last musicians of her “time” to still be relevant over a decade later. Rihanna can definitely be the last woman standing here on earth.

Simply Wow

No one can do it like a badgal. The Rihanna W magazine September 2016 editorial is a moody masterpiece. Photography was lensed by the extremely gifted Steven Klein. Also, styling for the shoot was of course handled by the one and only Edward Enninful.

Nevertheless, we cannot ignore the exquisite makeup looks adorned by Rihanna. The extraordinary beauty looks were designed by the infamous Pat McGrath. Pat went all out even creating 3D art that intensified Rihanna’s facial features. As a result, RiRi seems to pop right off the page and she looks like she missed her calling as a supermodel.

At first glance you notice two familiar faces. A hip hop mogul turned designer and world renown supermodel. Kanye West and Joan Smalls both star in the Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign.

This crisp, dramatic monochromatic campaign is a total 180 from some of the other recent Balmain campaign sightings. For instance, the Resort 2017 ad campaign is lusciously vibrant! From the fashions to the background setting everything just pops.

The Balmain Fall – Winter 2016 Ad Campaign though simplistic in a sense still plays on drama. In the shot West seems to be tipping over as Smalls reaches out with all her strength to try to prevent his fast approaching fate.

The Details

Olivier Rousteing describes the Fall – Winter campaign as “Music Meets Fashion.” Very fitting since an iconic musician and heavily sought after model were both casted. Moreover, West over the years has turned his attention to couture. Thus, bringing the fusion full circle. Kanye has collaborated with Balmain on Yeezy fashions and it looks like stylish marriage continues on with the addition of the campaign.

Grace’s creative work stars Lupita Nyong’o, Elle Fanning, Natalie Westling and the always beautiful Christy Turlington!

The campaign carries the tagline, “Some style is legendary.” Therefore, it is fitting to use a legendary supermodel, a fresh face model with edge and two actresses who can’t set the big screen ablaze with their talents.
