Have you ever purchased a mascara and just absolutely loved how it made your lashes look? Most likely, the wand to that product played a key role in helping you achieve dazzling eyelashes. So what should you do once you actually finish the mascara bottle? Should you just pitch the wand as well?
Beauty experts say no, you can keep the wand for future use by recycling it. Recycling just means that you are cleansing the wand in order to use it later. To clean the wand soak it in a cap full of eye makeup remover then wash it with soap and water like normal. Allow the wand to dry naturally by laying it flat on a paper towel or cloth.
Tip: If you do recycle a wand and use it later always remember to cleanse it whenever you clean your other beauty tools. Moreover, keeping old wands can save you money on having to buy “spoolies!”

Hair Quickie: If you have just colored or dyed your hair try to wait at least 48 hours or more before washing your strands. This is because every time you wet the hair the cuticle opens and you want to give your hair time to seal in the color. Therefore, if you are planning activities where you know you will need to shampoo your hair it is best not to color your hair right before that time.
This week we are blogging about mascara in order to help you apply like a pro! Some of our Beauty Quickies this week have touched on how to add volume or length to your lashes. Today, we want to share a few tricks to say goodbye to clumpy mascara forever.
Tip #1
Keep clumps at bay by sweeping a new, clean wand through lashes while they are wet. How can a new wand be used when the product only came with one? Buy some wands online or hit up your local Sephora that are sure to carry them. Keep in mind though at Sephora, beauty consultants will know them as “spoolies.”
Tip #2
Remove any excess mascara formula from the wand before application by wiping the wand on a tissue first. Yes, clumps can also be removed by combing through lashes with a lash comb. Nevertheless, if you are not a fan of using combs this tip will help you achieve the same outcome.
Beauty Quickie: When applying mascara you should wiggle the wand as you pull it through from roots to tip. Wiggling separates the lashes making them look fuller and not all stuck together.
