Life comes at you fast. However, one basketball athlete is doing her best to maximize her 24 hours as much as possible. After handling business with her team, WNBA star Angel Reese attended her first Met Gala; mingling with everyone from Zendaya to Tyla!
Reese has never shied away from hard work or letting out her fashion, girly side. Her love of couture and for rocking laid hairstyles and voluminous eyelashes during her games; led fans to nicknaming her “Bayou Barbie.” And she fully embraces it and runs with it full speed ahead.
Now, she is truly living her dreams. Playing basketball at the professional level in the WNBA after being drafted in April. And having a MAJOR style moment on the infamous Met Gala red carpet during fashion’s biggest night of the year.
And oh yeah, her big gala debut just so happened to occur on the day Reese turns 22. For Angel, it was a fast, head spinning day; beginning with team practice and ending in heels on a red carpet. Yet, her career is just blossoming; therefore, this is most likely only the beginning of her venture into the celebrity fashion scene.
For the Met Gala, Angel went for ethereal garden fairy; showcasing her model like physique. She wore a gorgeously fun mint green 16Arlington by Marco Capaldo gown. It has sparkly embellishments with a sheer, floor length skirt and feather detailing all around the waist.

The ensemble photographed like a dream. And it looked fabulous paired along with her super sleek, ponytail with a deep, classic middle part. Proving that night out hair does not need to be overly done. Or overly fussy in order to make a strong statement.
Nonetheless, we cannot talk fashion without talking about accessories. Especially, the shoes. Shoes can easily ruin a great outfit. Fortunately, for Reese hers were a beautiful match. She paired her pretty gown with Stuart Weitzman Eva 75 Slingback heels. These heels continued her sparkly outfit theme. They have over 600 crystals placed by hand!
Therefore, our favorite Barbie definitely did her styling homework. And fulfilled the assignment. We hope that she has a wonderful rookie WNBA season and can’t wait to see what fit she blesses our eyes with next.
