Nevertheless, this bucket hat wasn’t JUST a Tommy Hilfiger design. It was part of a collaboration with KITH. If you search online for the Kith x Tommy Hilfiger bucket hat; it should pop up right away.
We did a little window shopping and looks like this hat is gone from a lot of retailers. However, there are still several selling it. The price to own will run you around $200.
But, how do you feel about used or pre-owned fashion? We see there are a lot shops selling this hat for a little less than the $200 mark. So if you would like to save a few bucks and don’t really care if a hat had a previous owner; you can always go that route too.

She had us at new collection. In a very vague and painfully teasing way, Zendaya hit us with a HUGE announcement leaving all her fans stunned yet excited simultaneously. In a simple, brief statement on social media Daya reveals, “Collection coming soon. Tommy x Zendaya.”
WHAT??? Come on Zendaya we need more! Nevertheless, we are living for this collaboration because Zendaya is ALWAYS one of the best dressed on the red carpet, for any event. We are certainly not alone in our thoughts because moments after Zendaya’s little teaser supermodel Imaan Hammam was spotted responding to Z stating, “YES YES YES!”
Also, singing duo Chloe x Halle sent over some congratulations. The cutie pies in response said, “So proud and excited!” Furthermore, Zendaya’s celebrity fashion stylist, Law Roach, who’s also been hard at work on the collection had a word or two to share as well. Law says, “Anything is possible. The things we used to do to get some Tommy and now this. UNREAL. We’ve been working hard on this one, so excited for you guys to see it.”

Hats Away: Couture designer, John Galliano slayed Rihanna’s look during the first Monday of May’s festivities. However, her hat was a loaner. Say what?!
Yes, the verdict is in, Fenty’s now infamous papal, bejeweled hat; is a miter from Cardinal Timothy Dolan. Mister Dolan serves as head of New York’s Roman Catholic diocese.
In regards to loaning out a miter to the pop star, Timothy did confirm that Rihanna did not keep the garment. In fact in an interview with SiriusXM Dolan says, “The news said she was wearing a tiara. [Not correct]. She gave it back to me this morning… She was very gracious.”

Chain Reaction: Let’s switch up gears in order to gab about another stylish doll! Zendaya Coleman was a starlet who to us, perfectly married the art behind the Gala theme with spellbinding couture. Daya rocked a stunning number designed by the Versace luxury label.
Regarding the design Versace states, “Knight in shining Versace. Zendaya in a Joan of Arc inspired, custom molded Atelier Versace look at the 2018 Met Gala. Featuring gunmetal chainmail embellished with Swarowski crystals, flowing into a feminine fully beaded silk chiffon skirt.”
Such a Gem: Jewelry is an excellent way to add more drama to an ensemble. For her Versace Met Ball after party look; Zendaya wore jewels by Butani. Butani dishes that Daya wore their Butani Diamond and Titanium Hoop earrings. The luxury jewelry and watches brand also loaned diamond studs to fellow singer, Ariana Grande.
Butani enjoys a long history of adding gleaming details to celebrity looks. This just year Butani has been spotted on Jennifer Hudson, actress Kiersy, Mary J. blige and Mariah Carey.

Doesn’t Matter If You’re Black or White: Now we are used to singer Janelle Monae’s monochromatic looks. However, Tiffany’s Met Ball outfit could not be ignored either! Haddish walked the red carpet in glittering design by Brandon Maxwell. Brandon revealed the inspiration behind the effortless look.
Maxwell states, “Tiffany’s look was all about purity with a dash of the wild side. One of the very first things you notice when you meet Tiffany is how effortlessly fresh and beautiful she is; a very pure heart with most fun spirit.
Hand made in our studio in New York, she wears an ivory triple layer lapel twill robe with train. [As well as] hand beaded black pearl leopard pants on georgette.”
What is georgette? In short it is a type of fabric. Named after the early 20th century French dressmaker Georgette de la Plante; georgette is a sheer, dull-finished crepe and lightweight fabric. It is made with highly twisted yarns even though originally it was made from silk.

On The Runway: I’m not sure if Tommy Hilfiger is still trying to get on our good side with the black community, but I will say that this collection is a good step in the right direction. I have never seen him use so many models of color that it’s quite shocking. The collection was great and a bit different from what we usually see from Mr. Hilfiger. The vibe was quite Jamaican, safari islander girl. The crochet pieces with the use of ethnic prints and colors were spectacular yet still had the refinement of a true Hilfiger collection. Bravo!!
It’s Friday so we had to give y’all a little eye candy to enjoy. Ford model Conrad Bromfield can be seen in Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall/Winter 2014 ad campaign. The hottie wears various fashions, but can we give it up one time for the lime green boxer shot? My goodness we thought things should be cooling down now that autumn is upon us, but looks like Tommy wants to heat things back up! We are not complaining in the least and were happy to see Malaika Firth in the campaign as well! We are seeing more and more black models being used, this is a great thing for the industry and shows all girls that diversity is beautiful.
Fun Fact: This ad campaign was shot in Lake Tahoe and Conrad was discovered in New York.
