2017 Beauty Trend: Orange Color Makeup Looks

Orange Color

Orange color makeup … it’s back! A few years ago you could barely find one runway show that didn’t possess tangerine vibes. The tint got super hot fast and soon it was heralded as the new rouge. As a result, cosmetics companies rushed to produce orange makeup to fill the trend’s new demand. One particular brand even created an universally pleasing blush with orange tones that got a mention in a Drake song.

Nevertheless, suddenly the orange color trend disappeared completely from the fashion as well as beauty scene. Things went back to more “usual” and less boisterous shades. However, now it looks like orange is becoming a big beauty star once again.

Where have we recently spotted this trend? At the 2017 Met Gala singer Zendaya stunned with orange tinted lips. Furthermore, Blackish beauty, Yara Shahidi attended the Chanel Cruise 2018 fashion show in an orange suit with an orange eye makeup look. Both ladies looked fabulous and proved this shade works on a wide range of skin tones.

Nonetheless, it’s not just celebrities who are getting in on the resurgence of the orange color. For instance, makeup powerhouse Lancome has released their very own orange matte lip shade. Orange Magic, as Lancome has named it can be found apart of the Lancome Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick collection. The beauty brand wants its consumers to “ban the boring” and utilize more festive tints.
