On The Runway: The Opening Ceremony S/S 2016 – NYFW collection looked like an art project gone right. It had a sort of collage feel to the clothes in where all the right pieces of fabric molded together to form a beautiful end result. There was a lot of black in this collection but it was offset with burnt orange, hues of cream and banana yellow.
Fashion week is underway and what better way to get it started than to check out the makeup. Maybelline is green with envy for their FALL 2015 NY Fashion Week bold look with Model Kai Newman. What do you think? Would you rock a strong emerald eye?
She has gone from black to blonde and now she is back to black tinted hair. Nicki Minaj is definitely getting our “Fried, Dyed and Fabulously Laid to the Side” award! Nicki was front row for the Alexander Wang Fall 2015 runway show and wore her long locks up in a high ponytail with a full bang. We loved the thicker texture of her hair instead of a tail of super sleek strands. A simple hairstyle that still screams I am a Diva.

If you basically bought stock in orange tone lip color starting back in spring you may wonder if you can still get some mileage out of such a bold tint now that the seasons have changed yet again. Flowing from spring into summer makeup is always a cinch, but knowing which trends will translate into autumn and winter can get a little tricky. We always preach that if you love it, you should wear it regardless of trends because makeup should fun and beaming with personality. Nevertheless, here is the skinny on the orange lip shade tip.
Are orange lips still trendy for fall/winter 2014? Yes, orange lips are still all the rage which is nice when makeup colors tend to go darker as winter approaches. The orange look that is full of autumn flavor is more matte than the glossier versions that were big beauty business earlier in the year. Zac Posen’s models during New York Fashion Week wore a gorgeous matte shade by MAC called Dangerous. So then, the verdict is in, orange lips are still “In.”
