Supermodel Liya Kebede has been everywhere this year from magazines to major ad campaigns. On the heels of her solo Vogue cover Liya can also be spotted as the star of the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2015 campaign. The shoot was styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé and lensed by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

Chanel Iman For Marie Claire UK May 2015
Chanel Iman is the cover girl for the Marie Claire Fashion UK May 2015 edition. In the fabulous editorial Iman models fashions by: Michael Kors, Chloe, Emporio Armani and Roberto Cavalli. Chanel seems to channel a modern Roman gladiator as she plays on a track field as well as on and below bleachers. If she really was competing, with the couture she showcases she would definitely be a winner in our book!

Hair Notes: We are seeing long braids in several editorials this year and we are loving them! Last year, skinny and down-to-there french braids were all the rage. Nevertheless, it seems that braids with a middle part is the new hot hairstyle of the year. Moreover, this hair look is a great protective hairstyle to grow hair and keep it strong.

Aamito Lagum & Senait Gidey Star in W Magazine May 2015 Editorial
Gorgeous models Aamito Lagum and Senait Gidey are serving up some classic vintage glam for W magazine. The pair wears relaxed fashions that include sweaters, chic dress pants, button down tops and bell bottom “flared” pants. The retro feel of the shoot still comes across fresh which makes the couture invoke a more modern twist on the decade that was and the trends that emerged from that moment in time. We really got a kick out of the shoe-wear that although quite boisterous came across muted blending seamlessly with the ensembles as a whole.

Senait Gidey “Superhero Makeup” Editorial for ELLE Canada May 2015
Can Senait Gidey get anymore beautiful?! Apparently, the answer is yes… Gidey is featured this month in a beauty editorial for ELLE Canada. Senait does not roll solo in the spread she is joined by model Dauphine. The jaw-dropping makeup was handled by MUA Lloyd Simmonds and photographer Owen Bruce lensed the shoot. The editorial increases the drama going from a natural face to bold eye color and even a smoking dark lip.

Malaika Firth Vogue Japan May 2015 Editorial
This has to be one of the dopest, sickest and immaculate editorials seen thus far for 2015. Firth always brings it in every shoot and this editorial was not any different as she modeled bold prints, florals, crowns and intense gold attire. The makeup for the editorial is exotic, strong and exquisite. Malaika literally looks like doll that any young girl would want to snatch off a shelf.

Hair Notes: Those baby hairs though! Baby hair is still a major hair trend and for this editorial we loved the combo with the braids as well as enormous head bands.

Set Mascara in a Flash
Beauty Quickie: Mascara should only be found on your eyelashes but it always seems to find its way elsewhere i.e. on eyelids and the under eye area. Prevent this by making sure your mascara is set and dry. Set mascara by using the cool setting on your hair dryer and give lashes a quick blast of air.
