HOLD UP… Serena Williams Covers Teen Vogue December 2018 Issue! The magazine hit up social media this morning to announce it by stating, “Our December cover is Serena Williams! [In this issue you can] read her conversation with activist Naomi Wadler and new Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Lindsay Peoples Wagner.”

This cover comes on the heels of the trio (Williams, Wadler and Wagner) getting together for the recent Teen Vogue Summit. An event where hundreds of influencers and young leaders flock to make new friends, challenge new ideas and work to make the world better.

Furthermore, Wagner is continuing to make black girl history; since she has become the latest Editor of color to head a major print/digital publication. Lindsay has only been the Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue for a little over a month. However, she looks forward to working hard and bringing continuous amazing content to the table.

For the edition Serena makes quite a fashion statement. The tennis superstar demonstrates how to mix glamour with relaxed couture. How? Well, be sure to dissect her shot in which she rocks a green animal print ensemble.

At first glance, the Off White snakeskin, ruffle number seems to be doing all the style taking; however, do a double take. Underneath you will notice Williams pairing it with a pair of stylish pants. The bottoms are from her very own fashion label, Serena.

Nevertheless, peer even closer and you notice an even more awesome fashion find and trend… sneakers. Yes, those are Nikes peeking out and in no way harms the overall vibe of her look. Sneakers and dresses are a chic, fun fit seen on everyone from Rihanna to Beyoncé. As a result, we love the fashion risk-taking spotted in this issue and think it is absolutely perfect for a mag as trend-licious as Teen Vogue!

ELLE USA saved the best for last! The journal is wrapping up the year with an exclusive interview with one of the most iconic First Ladys to ever grace The White House. The Michelle Obama ELLE December 2018 edition features Michelle discussing everything; from her marriage, being vulnerable and the importance of optimism.

In order to tell Obama’s story to the masses, ELLE recruited the queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey; to handle interview duties. This issue comes right before Michelle’s new book release, Becoming. It was day in and day out because we, Barack and I; really felt like we had an obligation to get a lot done.’

Now, with time to process two terms in office — a historic run of accomplishments and struggles — Obama has released her highly anticipated memoir, ‘Becoming.’ Ahead of her book release, the former FLOTUS gets real about her marriage to Barack; the threats made against her children; and life after the White House.”

Regarding showcasing Zoe the journal states,

Additionally, in another shot of her chic cover story editorial Kravitz can be seen in a distressed denim ensemble. This look is from fashion label, Chanel. More specifically, the style is from the brand’s Chanel Cruise 2018/2019 collection.

Glamour magazine is ending the year by highlighting a group of amazing women. Honorees besides Monae include: Viola Davis, Chrissy Teigen and Betty Reid Soskin. As a teaser of the issue Glamour released this snippet:

I was going to decide that for myself.’ Our 2018 Glamour Women of the Year honoree, Janelle Monae has never apologized for being herself; and she’s not about to start now.
