Just the other day, the beautiful Jennifer Hudson had us in a fashion fairy tale thanks to her Atelier Prabal Gurung gown. Since then, we have been obsessed with Disney fashions, because what little girl hasn’t imagined herself as a gorgeous princess? Therefore, it seems as though our Disney-esque style fascination will have to continue on its high now that our attention has swifted towards a particular pair of Jimmy Choos inspired by Cindy herself. Ladies and girls, fashionistas and converted tomboys feast your eyes on the Jimmy Choo Crystal Covered Pointy Toe Pump aka Cinderella Slipper!

These pumps are so bomb if we had attended Prince Charming’s ball in these babies we wouldn’t have left one behind… because we would have super glued them to our feet (LOL)! The photos alone simply do not do this shoe justice especially when it comes to the luminous and luxurious shine given off by the crystals. So far this week Rihanna has rocked a couple looks that made us go, “Must Have That!” If you are a shoe-a-holic like us then from the above and following photos you already know what item we need in our closets.

Rihanna’s DSquared2 Spring 2016 Black Strappy Thigh High Sandals is great for showing off nicely toned gams and pairs well with dresses, skirts and rompers. Rihanna was spotted in her thigh high lace up sandals while out on the town enjoying dinner with Travis Scott after his sold out show. She chose to pair hers with a fashionable LBD and simplistic accessories.

Heels are so beautiful and stylish why in the world would you want to shave them? What is shoe shaving in the first place? The act of shaving down a heel is usually performed in order to help the wearer have a more comfortable experience said shoe. A famous designer of heels is quoted as saying that heels are not supposed to be comfortable.

A few blisters and surgeries decades later may have a girl feeling like comfort should of been apart of the equation. Shaving will bring high heels down to a height that puts less stress on the foot. Are there any things that should be kept in mind when having heels shaved?

The total job should cost around $20 and the shoe repair shop of your choice should not shave more than one inch. Anymore length removed could actually cause more discomfort due to the shoe’s arched design. So then, keep it chic ladies and stay comfy!

At the end of the day, taking off your heels can have your feet looking like you have just returned from battle! Skin tears, cuts, pain and other wounds become more apparent as soon as feet have been released from their encasing. Nevertheless, using gel in-soles made by companies such as Dr. Scholls can do wonders to alleviate some common problems.

Here are just a few issues gel insoles can resolve:

Pressure off your foot
Toe scrunching
Sliding forward in shoes

Since gel insoles can be transferred from one pair of heels to another it is easy to make all your shoes more comfy. However, how long will these good heel vibes last? It is recommended to replace gel insoles when they damage or it has been six months.

Fall 2015 Shoe Trend: Pointed Toe Heels

There were a few choice words that came to mind that we are unable to repeat when we noticed a particular shoe trend coming on the horizon. Oh it is not that we do not absolutely love the style of this particular shoe it is just that our cute little manicured toes loathe them. If you guessed pointed toe shoes then you have scored 10 points in the shoe game department.

Pointed toe heels are a trend that is rolling over from spring on into the fall and winter seasons. Givenchy, Christain Louboutin and Coach all have designs with the pointy flair. To survive this shoe trend without experiencing too much pain aim for pointed toe heels where the point does not stop right where your toes will be resting.

Moreover, you may even consider going up just a half a size. This small change can also afford you and your toes a little more wiggle room giving you more comfort. Therefore, enjoy rocking this trend later this year and without needing crutches.

Point of View: Gold Chained Heels

I’m really excited about P.O.V. aka Point of View, one of our new video series on the 1966 Magazine Youtube channel! Over the years, I have found myself becoming more and more addicted to heels. I love when you go out and people instantly notice and compliment on the pair of choice for the night. Shoes are all the way down at the bottom of an ensemble so for someone to notice the shoes most truly be making a statement.

With that being said, many will ask me what shoes I’m wearing or even say they are going to go cop themselves a pair. So for all of you who love a good heel as much as you do I hope you enjoy seeing my personal collection. Here is the first video showcasing my gold chain heels, probably one of the heels I wear the most. I love them because you can pair them with jeans, jumpsuits, dresses, the works and everything seems to instantly go up a few style notches. Whether you are aiming for classy or edgy these heels just seem to deliver.

Being obsessed with dressing up our two buddies downstairs that we walk on daily, one such video series P.O.V. aka Point of View will showcase some of our favorite heels from our very own closets. Until you get to see those here is a fashionable mention to tie you over!

For their summer collection Saint Laurent is rolling out strong in the shoe scene with platform heels. We constantly rave on here about platforms because unlike other heel styles, platforms are very comfortable. They may be higher than a skyscraper but the fear stops there, you gain the height without out all the pain fright. Saint Laurent freshened up the platform look with 3-D embellishments such as bows, stars, studs as well as prints and saucy color.
