For today’s Get Your Man Right we pulled a look from the Umit Benan Spring/Summer 2015 Collection. As you notice it has a clean preppy style to it but is a step up from “Carlton of Fresh Prince of Bel Air” to more of Will Smith’s character’s style thanks to the added color in the sweater, pushed up sleeves and backwards hat. If your boy enjoys dressing in a little more upscale fashion but doesn’t want to lose his cool this is the perfect ensemble for him.

Hip hop artists for years have worn their denim a little on the big side. It has often been up to major debate as to whether pants should stay up or be acceptable to go a little south. Nevertheless, for their spring 2015 runway show DSQUARED showcased models wearing extra baggy denim. The look was very relaxed and upped the cool chic factor by being coupled with bright colors.

Fashion Combo Fur and Enlarged Scarves

Half the country is freezing their rastafarian-nay-nays off (OMG wasn’t Cool Runnings an awesome movie!) and the other half is somewhat surviving on erratic weather. Here in California some days are typical warm Cali days and then the next day its raining. For those who need to keep warm but still want to look fresh and modern, try uniting the scarf and fur coat with a nice pair of pants or denim.

The shirt for this ensemble can be plain since it will be hidden by an quite large scarf. You will stay nice and warm with this couture combination yet look fashion forward. Remember scarves and fur coats can be bold all on their own; therefore, when adding accessories such as a handbag be sure to match it to one piece or the other in order to maintain cohesion.

2015 Grammys Hair: Kat Graham High Bun

Another hairstyle that we loved seeing float down the 2015 Grammys red carpet came from starlet Kat Graham. Kat wore her locks pulled back into a very sleek high chignon. Her bun included golden highlights which went very nicely with her skin tone.

Fashion Notes: Graham’s sheer gown was by Yanina Couture which she then accessorized with a clutch by Swarovski, AS29 earrings, Sophia Webster shoes and Carrera y Carrera rings.

Singer and actress Zendaya came to the 2015 Grammys looking like a brand new young woman! Zendaya rocked a super short pixie hair cut that put the focus where it belongs, on her pretty facial features (just look at those eyebrows…say it with us, “ON FLEEK”). Her makeup was so gorgeous as well and we loved the dark lip liner with lighter lip color. Made us think of the good ol’ days aka the 90’s but with a modern twist of course due to the lines not being nearly as severe.

As the celebs rolled into the 2015 Grammys held in downtown Los Angeles something instantly became clear… black dresses were “In.” Numerous ladies hit the red carpet running along Staples Center in black gowns that glittered, swayed with ruffles or made eyes dart thanks to cutout detailing. From Queen Bey (shown above) to Ashanti every starlet seemed to want in on the black dress trend.

Beautiful Black Women: Naomi Campbell Agent Provocateur SS 2015 Campaign

There is no way that Naomi Campbell is 40 anything! Campbell continues to slay in ad campaigns for major brands as well as fashion houses and has taken it all almost off for Agent Provocateur’s SS 2015 ad campaign. Naomi was thrilled to star in the campaign especially being a supermodel in her forties and the brand itself was just as excited to have her.

Creative director Sarah Shotton mentioned that, “Naomi and Ellen were perfect for this, as they both have such strong, individual personalities.” She went on to say in regards to the casting of Naomi, “Naomi is the ultimate Agent Provocateur woman: witty, gorgeous, and confident.”

Karen Walker Spring/Summer 2015 Ad Campaign

I couldn’t wait to do a write up regarding Karen Walker’s ad campaign for spring/summer because it has two things that I love: sunglasses and cuteness. In a world of super models, where 5’9 and kick butt cheek bones can score some camera time Walker’s campaign deviates from the fashion industry “norm.” For her collection she chose an unlikely yet fitting model who is huge on Instagram. Ladies and gentlemen we present, Toast, the adorable pooch showcasing Karen’s latest looks.

Toast models five different sunglasses in high fashion glam style with full wind effects and perfect lighting. The campaign was shot by photographer Tom Schirmacher who captured Walker’s vision perfectly. Regarding the campaign and her choice to cast Toast Karen said, “We were after a model for this campaign who could fit with our caramel-y color palette and also someone whose hair would work with our three wind machines hitting her from every angle to create a slightly ’70s vibe. Toast ticked every one of those boxes.”
