It’s getting hot out since it’s officially summertime. Which means you it’s time for cookouts and BBQ’s and of course yummy desserts. But it’s to hot to have the oven on so why not try these No Bake Desserts that will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep your home cool.
I know for some of you it might seem scandalous not use an oven to bake. But heck, when it’s hot outside, I say skip the oven and have your dessert too!
For recipes on how to make that happen, check out the ones below or head over to my favorite dessert blog, Captured Desserts for mouth watering ideas.

Dark Chocolate Truffles
Yield: ~25 truffles | Inspired by Something Swanky and Savory Simple
Ingredients
16 oz semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 – 1/2 cup cocoa powder, for dusting
Directions
Prepare the chocolate chips in a medium bowl. Heat the heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan on medium-high heat, just until it begins boiling. Immediately transfer the heavy whipping cream to the chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Chill in refrigerator for several hours or preferably overnight.
The next day, use a truffle scoop or hand-and-spoon method to shape the truffles. Chill in freezer for another couple hours, then prepare a bowl of cocoa powder and roll the truffles in it until completely coated. Chill again before serving, or enjoy right away.
3 Ingredient Strawberry Banana Popsicles
Ingredients:
- 1 large ripe banana, peeled, cut into chunks, & frozen
- 12 large strawberries, sliced in half
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice (or orange juice)
Directions:
Blend all of the ingredients together on high speed until smooth – about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed as you go.
Pour the mixture into popsicle molds. If your popsicle mold has slots for sticks, you can insert them before freezing – if not, freeze for 2 hours, then put a wooden popsicle stick in the middle (that is what I did). Continue to freeze for an additional 6 hours or overnight – overnight is recommended for easy removal.
Run popsicle molds under hot water to remove easily.
