Getting Beautiful While You Sleep

Woman sleeping in bed

Getting your beauty sleep can be quite the challenge due to various distractions and factors. Here are a few great tips to help you get refreshed and beautiful while you rest!

A. Keep your bedroom very dark by eliminating as much light as possible. If need be try to cover any lights from DVD recorders or any other electronic devices with lights. These little lights could cause just enough distraction to keep you up for hours!

B. Do your best to lessen any rubbing on your face by sleeping on your back. Constantly laying on your side can create folds or wrinkles that form where your pillow and your head came together. Therefore, be careful when turning wildly in bed or you can try sleeping with a satin pillowcase to decrease any friction.

Hair Spotlight- Gugu Mbatha-Raw Cute Natural for ‘Beyond The Lights’ Premiere

Gugu Mbatha-Raw Beyond the Lights Premiere2

She’s already played a Belle on the big screen and now the gorgeous Gugu Mbatha-Raw has completely owned her former character’s name on the red carpet! Gugu’s pulled back natural curly hairstyle included a deep side part (a trend for fall, be sure to get our October issue to learn more). However, it wasn’t just her hair that we took notice of, Mbatha-Raw wore a stunning flowing printed spring 2014 Delpozo gown. We felt the floral prints reminding us of the goodness and beauty of nature as well as Gugu’s natural hair look complimented each other perfectly. A great hair choice for a chic and fresh gown.

Don’t Let Sweat Be a Makeup Pest

Dont Let Sweat Be a Makeup Pest

Beauty Quickie: Summer temperatures can cause you to sweat out your makeup look for the day. The best way to prevent this beauty disaster is blot sweat away. DO NOT RUB your face with a tissue it will only completely rub off your makeup. The key here is to get rid of the sweat while keeping your makeup exactly where you applied it.
