Black Nails Summer 2014

Now here’s something that you normally don’t see in the realm of beauty. Noire tinted nails during the spring and summer seasons. Warmer months are usually characterized by lighter shades such as pastels and neon colors.

However, why not wear black during summer? Why must darker shades be relegated to the depths of wintertime? Well, the runway broke the mold this year as models were seen with various nail designs that included solid black nail polish. Personally, we love this rule breaking look it’s sassy, daring with a spoonful of mischievous fun. So then, never be afraid to dance to the beat of your own drum or paint your nails the color of your choosing. Seasons change, so why shouldn’t the rules of beauty also?

What do you think of this summer nail trend, will you wear it?

Enhance Your Gaze With Blue Mascara

Beauty Tip: Achieve a set of mesmerizing eyes by simply applying blue mascara. After you apply your normal shade of mascara which for many is a black tint, go over it with a blue mascara. Adding a coat of blue mascara will not change your overall look to blue, however, the blue hues in your lashes will give the illusion of having sparkling white eyes.

Be an Ageless Beauty by Updating Your Makeup

It’s not a subject most women enjoy talking about, but the fact of the matter is that we are all aging and getting older. However, it doesn’t have to be a big deal or anything to get worked up about. One way to minimize the impact of aging is to scrutinize the way our makeup looks. What looked great on us in our 20’s may not look so hot in our 40’s. For instance, you may find that you need to wear a different type of foundation now than you did when you were younger. Also, wearing black eyeliner may cause your face to look harsher as well as accentuate any wrinkles you may have around your eyes. Using a softer color, like brown, can help soften your look and not draw attention to the wrinkles. You can age just like a fine wine if you keep your makeup up to date.

We Don’t Mean to Make You Blush

Applying makeup is an art-form that takes time and effort to learn. One slip up in the application can ruin your entire look. One big area of concern is your blush. While blush is meant to enhance your features, too much of it could cause you to have a clownish appearance. When it comes to picking a blush you want to make sure the shade you choose complements your skin tone. Once you have the perfect shade of blush, it is imperative to ensure your lipstick and eye shadow all complement each other. If these elements don’t work together your makeup may end up looking harsh and over the top.
