Today, we are going to make a very easy Mississippi Mudd Cake that only takes a few minutes to make and your guests will keep coming back for more. But quickly, the term “Mississippi Mud,” when applied to desserts, generally refers to baked goods involving a chocolate crust or crumbs, chocolate sauce, marshmallows, and, according to some, pecans. This history of “Mississippi Mud”-style confections is, however, a bit muddy.

- Pour hot fudge ice cream topping over that and return to the oven for 10 more minutes.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
